Don't miss this one! It is worth five stars and getting the CE. The game was immersing from the get go and long enough to not feel cheated. The music was great. Only criticism is that some of the games were too easy or too finicky and confusing. Example the detectives key where everything seemed to move and nothing would stay where I put it so I ended up skipping which I loathe. I enjoyed the HOs which I almost never do. The whole game seemed fresh and creative unlike so many these days which just seem repetitive and dull.
I recommend this game!

No, I have not finished this game and I am sure it will take me a very long time. It reminds me a little of those wonderful puzzle doors in Ravenhearst except you Violett are the tool that can be used to make the puzzle reveal it's wonders. I know I will want to finish this game even if it takes me years and it might. It looks like a perfect game to complete a scene or two then leave it and come back again the next day; treat it as one door or puzzle at a time. If you are not amused at once and have a low tolerance for frustration you could cheat and cook or do whatever, while the next hint recharges as it is quite slow. You might burn some meals! Once I got the hang of it I was vastly amused and I hate to see an imaginative game like this sink with two stars because the game is not holding you hand and guiding the way. Light the darkened path with your brain, yes, you can do it and this is wonderful after the recent batch of games that have you endlessly sticking obviously shaped items into difficult locks! This is the whole point of gaming not just to be spoon fed in a fantasy environment and you are dealing with a lover of Dark Parables and Moonfell Wood but many new games could be played by a five year old and as an adult I have become very bored with them. Violett is just the ticket! Quirky, imaginative and fun!
I recommend this game!

I LOVE the Dark Parables games, and this one is truly awful in most respects. There is a very incoherent and essentially dull story with no excitement, tension or sad to say interest. I really didn't care about any of the characters or what happened to them. The art work was very mixed some beautiful scenes and others gaudy, tasteless and overdone. Ironically my least favourite part of any game the HO's was almost the best part of this game because mostly they were beautiful to look at. The endless meaningless and pointless objects produced (unlike previous games) were usually very ugly and grainy in quality. There were far too many HO's and the puzzles were ill explained and mostly simplistic and tedious. Jack was completley annoying because he sat around doing nothing and exhorting the detective to save the day. The most boring aspect of the game was the utter pointlessness and inanity of every task. The sky is falling, disaster is at hand but I must restore monuments and in a really crucial moment I have a pressing need to feed a carrot to a quite delightful white bunny, which made me laugh it was so beyond ludicrous. Why was i doing all these pointless things, I have no idea except I found a lot of items lying around that apparently needed a home. None of this moved the story forward one iota in complete contrast to the Black Water game where everything was in keeping with the theme and felt like a necessary action. I really don't know what they were thinking at Blue Tea. I gave five stars to their last game but I don't think I can even recommend this one and that is so disappointing because they are capable of the best even though their puzzles are often a bit lame. Please go back and review Briar Rose, The Exiled Prince, Red Riding Hood Sisters and ask yourself why they were all great and this one isn't. I will now hesitate before buying any more Blue Tea games and I am both sad and disappointed. The music was better than most games and even some of the Kubla Khan look to the game was lush but that was is. There was no game to this game, zero challenge and what there was of a story was insipid and pathetic. YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!
I don't recommend this game.

This game is very off putting initially, first of all you have to down load an extra program, so unusual for Big Fish, this made me nervous so I checked it out downloaded and then I got an error message but that went away with a re-start of the computer. Mine is a year old running windows 8 and I did not need to change any settings on my computer to run this game. In the 360 first person mode I can see everything beautifully but I have no cursor..still ready to give up at this point but then I discover by pressing R on the keyboard I get a 3rd person view with a cursor but now I am still lost and wander the street aimlessly wondering what to do. I find out pressing C gives a map and pressing the space bar shows places of interest, better and better. This is my first big file game and there is simply not enough information or a decent tutorial on how to play it for those used to the average HOPA, which would me me. Yes, I am using a walkthrough from the net A LOT but I am learning a great deal about how to play a big file adventure game, it is a very good game and quite fascinating and after this I may be ready to tackle Syberia! I am not beating up on myself for needing lots of help because frankly with the lack of instructions even for the puzzles I would be totally stuck and very frustrated. As it is I am very much enjoying the game and learning a lot and finding it a worth while experience. I would have given 5 stars if there had been a proper tutorial, in the absence of one I am using the walkthrough for guidance. Persevere fellow fishies, you really will enjoy this game if you allow yourself some net support and if the file will run on your computer and don't forget to save in the blank newspaper box. Read the other reviews for details I am just trying to encourage those feeling daunted..as I was. I feel I should add the details of a very shabby part of old London are very realistic and either brilliant or sordid depending on your view point. Likewise the Ripper is not a pretty story but it is safely in the past now, if you are very squeamish this could be a pass but mostly they are not too into the gore.
I recommend this game!

What a delight to play a game that is original and refreshingly different from the recent formulaic offerings. I was beginning to wonder if I could be bothered to play any more. I was just waiting for find a bucket, mend the well, give the wolf a steak in every single game and this has renewed my enjoyment because it was different. All the tasks seemed to be in keeping with moving the story forward and not pointless time wasters. The plot was at least a new story and the mini games were not the same old same old. A lot of them were quite new or revamped to appear different and I enjoyed most of them. The explanations for some of them were rather vague but mostly I could figure out what to do. One of them I found highly addictive and played it for over an hour once I had completed the game. I like it when you can replay some of the mini games as this is often my favourite part of the game. For once I really enjoyed the bonus chapter and it did not feel like a weary afterthought. I appreciated the new locations and the artwork while not breathtakingly beautiful did not need to be as they totally fit the story. I think this is probably a 4.5 star game but as I played it through at one sitting and really enjoyed myself I think to round up to 5 stars was fair. It is not a stunning game but it is a really a solidly good game and one that should appeal to boxes sexes, if you can forget you are a very glamorous woman because of the detective element. I think with the sale this weekend it was very much worth the CE price. I wish the teapots had been more beautiful but I guess they would have stuck out like sore thumbs in the background. Collecting the finger prints was fun but there is 40 of them which perhaps was too many and you need them to open one of the extras. Try for yourself but I was very entertained.
I recommend this game!

I have just completed the game in one sitting. I could not stop playing it to rest or cook dinner or do anything else. I was mesmerized. It is all so beautiful even when items are dilapidated they are still exquisite. This Dev has upped their game on their puzzles this time, they are less cursory and a result much more enjoyable and one involving sheep was simply adorable. I enjoyed every moment of this game so I have to rate it the best, Other games may have been more complex but I was able to stop playing but not this one. I even enjoyed the story which in most games I find totally banal this one at least kept me going or maybe it was that my eyes continued to be entranced. There are morphing objects, a pop up jump map etc... I very much liked the scrap booking effect on many of the notes strewn around. I was able to find a ladder that was not broken and a fire that did not have to be extinguished were a few of the refreshing changes. The frags are very pretty and do not take a lot of time which suite me as I am not a HO fan. Yes there are lots of silly boxes to open but all the chests and scenery and locks are so gorgeous I did not find myself bored or annoyed as I have been in some games recently. I loved it all. I hope you do as well. Now I want to complete the bonus and then play it again more slowly.
I recommend this game!

I rarely give 5 stars but I have played this game through six or seven times so I must REALLY like it. How can I not give it 5 stars? This game is totally fun and relaxing in relaxed mode because for some bizarre reason I just love collecting melons and eggs and milking goats and arranging the farm in general. It is deeply soothing perhaps because here I have the illusion of control and i can make the world be the way I want it to be. The colours are bright, the story inane and I click through it at top speed but re-arranging my machines and delivering orders is apparently my thing..who knew? I love doing it all in a relaxed fashion so I can enjoy it. I hope you like it to. Tough day, worried sick, visit the island paradise and create a world of your choosing!

Based on the Demo
I really wanted to love this game because I often love the Fairy Tale inspired games for example Dark Parables the Exiled Prince and I am a sucker for pretty and even whimsical. This felt insulting to my intelligence and I think a five year old little girl would both love it and be able to complete the tasks quite easily; including the so called puzzles. I think a lot of thought and imagination went into the creation of this game and it has some beautiful illustration but they pitched it at the understanding level of children and not at adults, which is a great shame. This resulted in a game that wasn't really fun to play despite going aaahhh at the cute puppy. I love games that try to make some sense of progress within the game and where the tasks appear meaningful and timely. Why am I fixing unnecessary bits of house decor when I am in a screaming hurry to save lives? There is a difference between charming and an overload of honey. This is a great shame but your children will love it I suspect!

Is this the best game I ever played?... definitely not but having said that I really did have a most enjoyable time playing it and the pet was quite the most adorable one I have seen in a game and I felt about 4 years old but I loved playing with it and it brought a big smile to my face. It was quite a long game, things to collect, pretty good graphics even if the story was risible and the ending very incomplete apparently I found the whole to be more than the sum of its parts and gave it a rare for me, 5 stars because I had fun!

I am forced to give this game 5 stars in every section just to make it register at 5 stars just so you understand how much fun I had. The story barely exists, the music is enough to send you screaming for the hills BUT for some reason I LOVE all the strategic planning and organizing the farm and making croissants and cheese and pickles and so on. I just hate doing it under the pressure of time deadlines which just keep my heart pounding with tension. The relaxed mode is bliss and I may even be beating the time by now but I don't feel stressed and it is all very satisfying. I would love more time management games that allow you the choice of playing at your own pace. The Happy Farmer
I recommend this game!
