This game was fun. I found it less difficult that its precursor, so it makes it easy to get expert without trouble. It has another fun, yet cheesy story line. "The Happily Ever After!" with mishaps along the way makes it quite enjoyable. The time management progresses long the way, offering a faster pace and more added objects for people to order. You also have to search for the mouse on each level, and many of them have added tasks to do as well as orders.
It's nice to have a game you can come back to whenever you feel like it and not have to wonder what you need to do or where you left off!

This game was pleasant to play. A nice mix of music that kept me listening. The graphics were nicely defined. The plot was good, but I found it a bit weaker than the first. The morphing objects and stars were a bonus to do as always. The games were not too challenging so hints are not necessary. I enjoyed the game. I'm not too sure the CE was worth the extra money, but it was still fun. I found this game to be quite a bit shorter than its predecessor. Would I play it again? Absolutely!

The music in this game was toe-tapping good! I found myself swaying to the rhythm quite frequently. I don't often listen to the music, but I found I really enjoyed this. You can visualize the players playing these tunes!
The game play was fun, not too difficult. A couple of my favorite features were: The musical notes board and the morphing objects swirl. These are great because I don't always get to sit down and play a game in one sitting and I tend to forget if I have already found these or not. This keeps me from losing track and I like that. It also keeps me from looking in vain for things in places I don't need to look!
I enjoyed the story line. It's nice to play a game that is entertaining and not always super dark. I played the CE to completion. It had a nice, separate little story to it as you change players.
The graphics were enjoyable. The scenes believable. The voice overs well done.
This game was a quick and easy delight. The graphics are bright. The voice overs were appropriate. The "assistants" were fun to have on board. The mini games were good, with what seemed like one item on each HOG that took a bit of time to find. The "flash map" as I call them are always a welcome feature. I don't like to waste time just traveling back and forth for just the reason of going back and forth. It was nice to have a game that was not really dark to play. I did not buy the CE version this time, so I can only comment on the SE. I enjoyed it. It was completed a little faster than I would have liked, but it was a fun game to play. I usually play on advanced mode so there are no sparkles to help along. This keeps the game a little more challenging for me. I got the game on a 2 for 1 special, so it was worth the money spent.

Others have given intimate details about the story, etc. so I will not.
This game was an enjoyable. I played Escape from Ravenhearst right before playing this one and there is a vast difference between the two. So if you have done the same, be prepared for a difference. It is not a bad difference, just a difference. The level of difficulty is much less in this one and a guide really isn't necessary. The Key to Ravenhearst is also much less dark than its predecessor.
I like the musical score in both and the voices were appropriate. The laugh the villain had in this one had a wonderful creepy sound to it.
The work in the graphics, was again, lovely. A lot of work has obviously gone into this game. There are some great short cinematic scenes.
The mini games were not too complex and were relatively quick to solve, except for the computer one for me. It took some scratching of the head to figure that one out, but once you get the first, the next fall into place.
Eipix has done a good job in following up on a strong gaming series. I look forward to the next one!
I will likely play this again on the easy level so that I don't forget to check for all of the ravens and the morphing objects. (A sign that I am enjoying the game!)
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
Whoa, I was not expecting this game to be so amazing!
It was a psychological thriller, to say the least! If you play with the sound on, which you really must in this game, you will really get the full benefit out of the game. They went above and beyond in this one! If you get creeped out easily, this game might not be for you. I have not played the other two games in awhile, and was unable to play them since my computer is too new for them, so I began here. I played it on the "Master level" (What was I thinking? lol!)
The graphics were fantastic with even the minor details well thought through. The sounds, as mentioned before, enhanced the game and gave that extra "ewww" and creepy feeling, which is what it was striving for.
There were morphing games instead of the HOGs. I really enjoyed that change! Some of them took awhile to find all of the items as they were subtle changes, but that was quite all right. I'm not a speed demon with these games, I play them for fun, not to see how fast I can get them done.
In this episode, we are to go back and forth to do tasks, not in a way that was just to add time to the game, but in ways that made sense. Items you pick up, may not be used for quite some time later in the game. This involves a higher level of thinking on behalf of the player. There are still those items which you get to use quickly for those "instant gratification" moments. Some of the tasks made me think, "gross" and "Who the devil thinks up these insane things?" I am positive this is the response they wanted from us. Some of the games have minute little details that require you to see in order to complete them without pulling your hair out.
You may need a strategy guide if you get stuck and just don't want to, or can't, put the pieces together. Playing on the Master level was quite challenging in places and I had to use the strategy guide to resolve the issue. I have never played on this level before, so maybe it was my "newbie" experience with it. There was a portion I am not sure I would have figured out, or would have struggled with for some time, without the guide, but that may just be me. I never used any hints in the game, even on this level.
A most excellent adventure and I am looking forward to the next two, which I also just purchased.

I bought this game as I have enjoyed the Dark Parables sagas. It has lovely graphics, a good story line, interesting puzzles to do and some HOG. I like to have only some HOG and prefer them not to be cryptic - monochromatic in nature, that consumes time only for that purpose. This was not one of those games. The HOGs were bright with relative ease to find the objects. Plus, this game has the fabulous morphing objects.
I was particularly pleased with the fairy and the sandman in the extended version. Wow, the fairy was gorgeous and the voice given to the sandman was very sage sounding!
It is not so difficult a game that you can not leave it and come back to it later. I had gotten quite a ways in the game, but then life kept me busy and I was not able to return to it for a month or so. It was easy to pick up where I had left off. Eipix is doing a very good job with these stories and I was happy to find another Dark Parable to enjoy.
Keep up the good work!
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed the main part of this game. There were multiple types of games to play. The graphics were rich. There was a good mix of classical and eerie music.
The maps made it so nice to be able to do things, by simply clicking on where you wanted to go. It also showed where tasks were required to be able to accomplish them. This is a great feature for when you can only play a short period at a time, it gives you the ability to remember where you were and what you were doing when you get back to the game.
The voice overs were good. The morphing objects... always a favorite of mine. I truly loved the "vortex" color changes between each scene. The games were challenging, some more so than others.
Now for the bad: The CE would not let me complete it. I read and re-read the SG to ensure I had not missed anything, which I had not, but it simply would not let me turn the second piece of the stand no matter what I did. (Where the snake is and it should be turned twice on the first section and once on the next section.) I used the hint button also in case I had missed a step. No, I had not, it showed me to do exactly what I was trying to do. Since I was not able to complete the CE, which you have to pay extra for, I had to drop this down to a 4 stars. I was frustrated enough to almost give it a 3/5 rating, but that would not reflect the enjoyment I had during the standard part of this game. If you do not have any glitches in the CE it is a 5/5, and the SE to me is a 5/5.

I enjoyed this game. It was not so complicated that I had to strain my brain to do the puzzles. This was excellent as I only had short bits of time to spend on it at each sitting and it was easy to pick up and move forward from where I had left off. The mini games were fun. The graphics were decent. I liked that there were many different aspects to do - morphing objects, HOG, creating new spells, putting items together to do tasks. The fact that this game offered a morphing objects locator was a happy thing for me. I don't always catch them on the first try if I'm scooting along, so having an identifier showing what area a morphing object was great for going back and retrieving them.
If you are looking for really complex, this is not the game for you. If you want a fun little game with lots to do, this is the game for you! It was a longer game and worth the money spent.

Another excellent game to play. The graphics are lovely, the colors rich and vibrant. The sounds are good and make a nice background to the scenes.
There are maps with "jump to" locations to save going back and forth. This is also excellent when, like I had to do, leave the game for days at a time only to try to remember where I was when I returned. These jumps and "task" to do keep the play much simpler. Now, what is not simple are the mini games. It took me a few to figure them out. It takes awhile to decipher what they are wanting you to do and in what order. They are certainly challenging!
They have collectable pieces (missed 2 somewhere) and morphing objects. I love morphing objects! There are several hidden object games as well.
We are again a master detective trying to solve another case. It is a thought provoking game, with a good amount of play time. I have enjoyed the MCFs immensely, and this is no different.
