If you're looking for a very deep and involving storyline, you might want to go elsewhere. However, if you're looking for a game similar to B-Thriller movies, you might just enjoy this game. A psychotic killer kidnaps a girl and proceeds to play a sinister game of tormenting her with different twisted tasks. Your objective is to escape the facility with your life by solving puzzles, and finding object to aid in your escape. The HO puzzle are fun, but not much of a brain bender. The killers voice has the classic deep distorted sound one would expect, and the girl has a defiant attitude to her abductor to match his brazen nature. Both voices were decent enough, although the killers wasn't as scary as the producers might have strived for. All in all, not phenominal, but it's good enough.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
This third chapter was one of the darkest and most disturbing chapters of the Ravenhearst series. This time, the story revolves around Charles Dalimer's journey into madness, and unraveling the means to save his victims as well as yourself. It also dons a new gameplay approach, which involves morphing objects as opposed to the classic hidden objects. This can be a serious sticking point for some players who prefer the latter. The characters were played by live actors and actresses, and performed quite well. All in all, an enjoyable sequel, but again, not for all tastes.
After playing numerous HO games with dark, and somber story lines, it was refreshing to play a game that was bright and lighthearted. It had fun puzzles that weren't maddening, and the visuals were absolutely gorgeous. It even had periodic narrations whenever you complete certain segments of the story. Everything played out like a children's fairy tale. Highly recommended.

Phantasmat, is one of the best story driven hidden object games to date. It sports beautifully rendered environments, and puzzles that are challenging enough without needing to be a rocket scientist. The voice talents were great which made the dark story all the more effective. This collector's version includes an epilogue segments that opens after completing the main quest, along with other bonuses. Another nice touch is you can alternate between hidden-object and match 3 mode and back to mix things up. If you love story driven games, this one is a must have.
