This game was very short – it took me about a couple of hours to complete! I did enjoy playing it as the story line was interesting.
There are two modes to play the game and I chose the casual play – I like to make the choice of skipping a mini-game if I really don’t like it.
As with the other games in the series there are jewels to pick up along the way and for the most part are very obvious to find.
The mini-games ranged from very easy to frustrating as the directions are not always logical, but persistence (and the occasional looking in the walkthrough) pays off!
Overall a fun game to play even if it is really short!
I recommend this game!

This was a great game to play. The storyline followed on from the previous game and the voice over acting was very well done. The cutscenes were good and definitely added to the overall atmosphere of the story.
As with the other game there are all sorts of achievements that can be earned as you work your way through the game. It’s fun trying to find all the hidden fairies that are placed in all the scenes.
The mini-games seemed to be well thought out and the instructions were good for them.
The hidden object scenes were also enjoyable!
There are three playing modes that you can choose from. There is also a journal that captures the story for you as well as an interactive map.
The bonus epilogue chapter did wrap up the story and it was as good as the rest of the game.
I recommend this game!

There are lots of different games to play! The fun part is not knowing what is going to be next.
The Hidden Object games are really well done and sometimes the objects are difficult to find.
The Mahjong variation games are good and the tiles are colorful.
There are other puzzle games that are randomly played – like tile matching and bingo.
There is a non timed option and you can select the types of tiles displayed.
Overall very fun to play!
I recommend this game!

A hidden object game that has a good story line and objects that can be a little difficult to find!
The hidden objects are very well done and at times really difficult to find. Along with finding objects on a list there are also gold coins to find, again well hidden. At the end of each chapter you go to the store to spend the money on things to help out Marcus (the main character).
The hint system recharges quickly so if you are really stuck finding something at least you don’t have to wait too long!
The voice-overs were a little bit out of place but the storyline was interesting so it really didn’t matter.
Overall the game was fun to play, especially if you like a purely hidden object game!
I recommend this game!

The game overall was fun to play.
There are both hidden object scenes and mini games to play. The hidden object scenes were often the same scene with different objects to find. On some objects you had to perform an extra task (such as opening a drawer) in order to find the object.
The mini games were good and ranged from fairly easy to just a little challenging! All the games had very good directions on how to play.
The voice acting was very appropriate and the storyline was good.
The bonus chapter added an extra hour of game playing and it tied in very well with the main story.
I recommend this game!

This is a good game and fun to play.
There are plenty of mini games to play and they range from very easy to moderately difficult. As long as you click on the hint it will tell you exactly how the game is to be played. I found that the hint was enough to play the game without having to use the Strategy Guide.
The hidden object scenes were the usual find the object and in most cases the scene was repeated with just different objects to find. There is always a final item to find in the scene after all the other objects have been found and that is added to the inventory so that you can continue with the story.
The storyline was good and the voice acting was appropriate for all the scenes.
The bonus features unlock some of the mini games so that you can play them again and it also had an additional chapter. It was a new chapter and it was just as fun to play as the main game.
I recommend this game!

This game is good but it lacks the polish of the previous Awakening games.
There are plenty of mini-games and they ranged from very easy to frustratingly difficult. At times the directions were not at all clear and you had to guess what you had to do (or resort to the Strategy Guide).
The storyline was good but it ended a little abruptly. The voice overs were, for the most part, good – some of the characters were a little different! As noted by a previous reviewer they seemed a little cheesy as if they really didn’t belong in the story.
The Hidden Object scenes were well thought out and some had mini games involved with them.
At times a few of the objects had to have precise clicks and placement otherwise the object wouldn’t be picked up or used correctly.
The bonus chapter did not add anything for me (it probably added an extra hour of game play) but the storyline was so different from the main chapters that I was disappointed in it. The ending was left hanging so is there to be a continuation of this series or not?! The mini-games and hidden object scenes seemed to be added together without really thinking about how they fit in to the new storyline.
So, overall it is a good game and I would recommend playing it – but the standard edition is probably just as good.
I recommend this game!

A good solid game that is enjoyable and interesting to play.
The storyline is good and the mini games ranged from very easy to difficult.
Some of the puzzles were a little vague in describing what had to be done but using the strategy guide to figure out exactly what you had to do solved that problem. The general hint system was very good and provided exactly that – a hint! The hidden object games were all interesting and varied from the usual find the object.
The voice acting was good and fit very well into the storyline.
There are all sorts of achievements that can be earned as you work your way through the game – from finishing all the mini games to watching all the cut scenes. Lots of fun!
The bonus epilogue chapter did wrap up the story and it was as good as the rest of the game.
The only thing that you had to be careful of was where you placed the cursor with the inventory items as the game was sometimes very picky about where it was clicked. If you didn’t have it on the exact place the inventory item was to be placed the item went back into inventory and you had to do place it once again. Sometimes it took several times to get the item right!
There is a journal that contains the notes from the game as well as the tasks to do and the list of characters. There is also a map, that once you find the pieces, enables you to go back and forth to the different places – it is very helpful.
I recommend this game!

This was, for the most part, an enjoyable game to play.
The storyline was interesting, the puzzles interesting and the hidden object scenes were good. There is a journal that is updated with the story and there is a task list.
The voice acting was okay but the accents did not match the setting!
There are a different variety of hidden object scenes from finding one type of object to putting objects back into the scene and the regular find the object listed.
There were a good number of mini-games / puzzles and they were, for the most part, easily solvable. Some instructions were not very clear and by looking through the walkthrough I was able to figure out what was supposed to be done.
The hints for the hidden object scenes were limited but could be replenished by finding mirrors in the scene. I found that most objects were easy to find.
The general hints for the game were not very helpful at all and if you get stuck then the strategy guide is available to look through. Although in order to look at the strategy guide you have to exit the game and go to the main menu and then go to the Extras and then select the guide.
During the game in a couple of places the game would freeze and only by using Windows to stop the game could I get back to playing it – for some reason it did not lose any game progress.
Upon exiting the game each time it would try to bring up the Big Fish Games home page. As soon as I closed the window it would halt the game properly. No game progress was ever lost though.
The minor problems were not big enough to not want to continue they were just minor nuisances!
The bonus adventure was fun and enjoyable as it unlocked the rest of the extras.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed playing this game. It made a good change from playing the hidden object games.
The storyline was interesting and told through cutscenes with a voiceover.
Items that were to be found or interacted with had sparkles but they could get in the way of looking for other things in the scene. That was somewhat of a distraction but not enough to not want to continue to play.
The inventory items do not have labels on them and sometimes it was difficult to see exactly what it was you had picked up. These items you occasionally had to combine with other inventory items.
There is a walkthrough that is available and a few times I had to use it. Most of the time the puzzles were logical and with some thinking could be solved
I recommend this game!
