I have liked the two previous Shiver games a lot but this one has to be my favourite - and maybe even my favourite Mac game to date. Maybe a bit on the short side in the standard version (I really regret not buying the CE) but I enjoyed every moment. I loved the fact that some of the items picked up underway had to be either combined with others or manipulated in some way in order to work - a great addition to the standard puzzles, HOS and games. The graphics are marvellous, the voiceovers great and the story flows nicely. In fact, maybe I WILL buy the CE, like right now! Game developers - please make me more of these!
If you love games that are different, with HOS that have a purpose rather than just be irritating stumbling blocks on your quest to find a tool, great graphics and super puzzles, look no further! I was enthralled from the first moment and had a hard time pausing whenever real life knocked on the door. For someone like me who is frankly tired of HOGs and traditional puzzles, this is a wonderful change. The voice overs are fabulous, the plot well thought through. I loved looking for clues to my friend Tara and working out how to best use the map and the hints (which are kind of riddles rather than concrete indicators - great!). I loved the bonus content, even unusual things such as the extras (deleted scenes, artwork etc) being an integral part of the game rather than a credits or menu item. I warmly recommend this game and hope there are more coming.

Yet another winner in the Mystery Trackers series, and quite possibly my favourite. Excellent gameplay with lots of minigames and very few - and well placed - HOS. Super entertaining and so much fun to play, I may just start over right now. As a fun aside, you get to collect tokens with which you can buy little presents for your little helper, Elf the dog (known from other games). And you get to collect weird morphing animals (part of the storyline) - just for the fun of it. To top it all off, the CE gives you a really funny reel of bloopers where the actors get to have some fun. Give me more! I can't wait till the next one!
I recommend this game!

I absolutely loved this game and was sorry when it ended. Can't wait to play it again! The point-of-view style gameplay and the fabulous graphics will have me come back. If like me you are used to the standard Help button, you will wonder where it is - it's a waterfall! And in the HOS just click on the description of the item you can't find. But most of all, just enjoy the scenery and the way the game carries you through the story. PLEASE bring a sequel soon!
This is one of the most compelling games I have played. The graphics are excellent, the storyline is interesting, but more importantly, the puzzles and the structure is so unusual I really had to think laterally. I enjoyed every moment of it and have just bought another Margrave game - can't wait to play it!
This game distinguishes itself from all the other games I have tried by using three players instead of one. This means you have to keep track of the items each of them collects as well as what they need. They have to go to a special place to swap items so they can fulfill their objectives. It makes for very interesting and a bit cumbersome game play. This is the first game I have taken notes for! The map allows you to jump back and forth between locations which is a saving grace when you have to go the the meeting point all the time to swap items. I still felt like I was jumping back and forth a bit too much though, which detracted from the fun factor. Having said that, great graphics and excellent voiceovers make for interesting and gripping gameplay.
Being a great fan of the other two Redemption Cemetery games, I was very much looking forward to this one. But this time the creators have decided to dress up the game with real actors and that really pulls the quality down, as their performance is lackluster at best. The use of real actors can work really well, as it did in Dire Grove, but they really need to look and act the part, otherwise it is just irritating. Other than that, a pretty good storyline, great graphics - worth playing.
As usual, the graphics are outstanding, the storyline interesting and the puzzles fun. In this one, the puzzles are not that challenging but that is so compensated by the sheer enjoyment of the game. The soundtrack is good too, although I did miss some sound effects, for instance when smashing things. And the Bonus content is really good - a lot of extra gameplay and the usual concept art, screensavers etc. Keep it coming guys!
Whereas some games get it right (Dire Grove is the ultimate success story), the use of real actors in games can be a terrible experience. In this game, the acting is so bad it subtracts negatively from the game. Other than that, the graphics are fabulous, the story interesting and eery (albeit with rather an abrupt ending) and the challenge level good. I enjoyed it.
I bought this game based on other people's review and was very disappointed. It is so repetitive with constant and ever so similar HOGs that I just found myself sighing and thinking "let's get this over with". The free trial had a nice balance of puzzles and HOGs but as soon as I paid up, that was over and we were into almost strictly HOGs, an endless parade of almost identical "challenges". Graphics are nice, as they are in the Dark Parables series, but the ending was so flat I couldn't believe it.
