I am an avid gamer and play many different genres, but I don't normally review them, as there are many who do a much better job of this than I. As a LONG time game player, going as far back as the birth of the home personal computer, I have seen the evolution of gaming, and I do appreciate many of the advances and changes that have taken place. That being said, there are some things that have changed, that I find to be not so good...too much hand-holding being one of them. The Tower of Beatrice reminds me of the Myst days, when an adventure game was just that...a true experience, with no guidance, no hints, nothing but experimentation and imagination. It is a beautiful throw-back to a simpler, but much more thought-provoking time in computer gaming.
I know not everyone will appreciate this type of game, but I am enjoying it immensely and would purchase any others like it. I highly recommend you give it a try, if you like solving puzzles and thinking outside the box!
I recommend this game!
