The game is a challenge but that is what originally lured me to the HOPA genre in the first place. The graphics are somewhat dated. Still, I found the subject matter of the game intriguing. I began playing it in EXPERT mode until I was stuck at the corridor where the poison gas is. At that point I changed the mode to NORMAL. This reveals areas of interests with sparkles indicating them. After doing so I moved forward to the next room and further onward. Most of the mini-games were fairly easy. Some HO scenes were more involved than some of them were. The player also retrieves items along the way outside of these areas. There is only one that is misnamed; a hoe for what really is a hammer and chisel. There was a misspelling or two in the sentences that provide clues. My overall opinion is the game is put together well.

The game was ok. No voiceovers so all conversing must be read. It started out like a sci-fi game about space travelers then towards the middle of the story it involved the crew saving a kingdom fresh out of the middle-ages, living in a city from some dystopian future, in danger of an asteroid that is going to destroy their planet. Once that happens it sort of loses its luster in the storyline department. Mini-games and HO scenes were all up to par.

I found this game to be short but fun. It's based around collecting items for individual ghosts in order to appease their souls as they all patiently await to be absorbed into automobiles. Now that's what I call a car with spirit! Granted, it is a silly concept but worth a trip (or more). I thought the mini-games were fairly easy, while some of the HOS items were well hidden. Graphics are hand drawn; not cartoonish.

I'll keep this review short and sweet. Granted, it may have some of the pitfalls that EVERY casual game has, but at least it's not the same old tiresome fantasy game where the aggressive female heroine saves the world, while the passive male stands by in limbo. Just the fact that the protagonist is male in itself makes this game a unique experience compared to all other releases in 2017.
As I was trying out this new game from Marigold, I was actually thinking to myself that we have the perfect game here. The player is even capable of choosing whether they are female or male. Unfortunately, the game fell apart just about towards the end of Chapter 2. The narrator of the game calls 'Hank Hunter', ‘Hunter Hank'. Granted, it was a simple error that could've and should've been removed, had the developer went over the product before releasing it, but because it wasn't, the concept of the game deteriorated immediately afterwards. It's kind of like someone ordering a cheeseburger and the server forgetting to add the cheese. The person ordering would understandably deny the sandwich.
You should never judge a book by its cover. This is not your average Marble-Popper game. I purchased this one back in July of 2011 when I was in search of a more challenging type than the ones available at the time (and still is, besides Luxor Evolved). There is something about the mechanics of Sparky vs. Glutters that separates it from all others in its category. It breaks you in gradually at first and then it releases the enemy at full-speed ahead. You have to remain determined to win or you don't stand a chance...definitely unique.

Overall, I found the game to be quite entertaining. Likewise, I feel the game was designed to be very user-friendly. I really enjoyed all the different levels of play during the adventure. The re-playability of Lucky Pirates is noticeable from the outset of gameplay. I consider it to be one of the best Match-3 games that have ever been released. Mary Ann Takes the Cake!!
I recommend this game!

I loved everything about this game, with the exception that you had to make 25-30 some odd words within thirty seconds, which is utterly ridiculous and FAR from entertaining. The game itself, with all of its characters and characteristics, is more than enough to immerse oneself in while exercising that part of the mind that gets the least of it. However, the Timer with its rushing you along, took all of the joy right out of the animated story-line and highly detailed graphics. BIG mistake!!! No sale here until they build in an Untimed option.

I've forever been on the 'look-out' for a Marble-Popper genre game that, if it didn't make sense, at least held my interest due to a solid storyline. Without breaking the rules by mentioning the other two I have already settled on, let me just say why Luxor was never one of my choices. There's always been something about the overall concept of the game, with it taking place in Egypt and you're 'scarab w/wings' doing its thing, which I found completely 'out of place' and impossible to conceive of as the least bit entertaining. So, I continued to hope that someday a Marble-Popper would come out that had some 'life' to it. Finally, that day has arrived in the form of Luxor Evolved. Some may complain that it is more 'Retro' than it is 'Evolved', but I beg to differ. You could place any other Luxor series game up against this one, and it is painfully obvious how 'out-of-date' the Egyptian theme is, when compared to the Space-Age one of Luxor Evolved. It's been a long time, but it has defnitely been worth the wait!!
I tried the CE version when it first came out, and I just got through a half-hour of SE gameplay. I view the game now as I did originally. It is a poorly orchestrated HO game with an abnormally long Skip time when doing Puzzles. So much so that it takes away from the overall enjoyment of the game. The music is extremely repetitive which does absolutely nothing for the overall production values for this game. It is silly, nonsensical and, in my opinion, a very tiresome game that never ever gets off of the ground. BFG will have to give this one away if it is going to be amongst the treasured games in my Game Manager.
