I love this type of game. It's fun to get lost in another world. The visuals, sound, storyline, and characters are all great. The cave scenes are very well executed visually. The generating sites that need efficiency upgrades add to the challenge. HOWEVER, I've found glitches at every single level in the game. Sometimes a necessary site or character shows up and sometimes they don't. I have to restart the level only to find another no-show. Maybe it's my system. Maybe it's because I take so long. I've checked the forums more times than usual just to see what was supposed to happen. It's very frustrating because, otherwise, it's a great game. Hope they come out with a third sequel with improved programming.

Don't be fooled by the cute plants and animals. It's really tough to get gold. It takes very careful planning and strategy. But it's possible. I've had gold on every level. I restart most levels 3 or 4 times before I figure it out. Most levels don't require as much clicking as Farm Frenzy but strategy experience from Farm Frenzy helps. The one thing I don't like is that, unlike Farm Frenzy, when you get a goal you have to keep it stocked or fed. That means storage and planting grass becomes a large part of planning. The music gets old fast but there's always mute. The sound effects are great. Graphics adorable. If you're looking for mindless fun, stick to Match-3 or slots. But if you like to use your mind to figure out ways to win, this game is for you.
I recommend this game!

Plants vs Zombies
Think fast, and plant faster, to stem a zombie attack! Save your home, and your brains, in this exciting Action/Arcade game!
P vs. Z is one of the very few games that I have never uninstalled. With most games, I'm usually somewhere between tolerant and disappointed. But P vs Z has to be one of the best games ever. The more I play, the more I appreciate the developers' skill. The music got on my nerves after awhile but I just mute or turn it down low. Re-playing the Adventure has been fun. Crazy Dave makes you use his three picks. But you pick up a lot of chocolate and Zen plants. It's extremely challenging and a little nerve-wracking at first but ultimately rewarding. The Zen garden was ho hum until I read the forum comments and realized I can let the snail collect gold while I leave to do other real-life things. For anyone who likes both time-management and strategy combined, I highly recommend it. Or course if you're disturbed by the concept/visuals -- zombies having heads blown off --- don't even try it.
I bought it based on the first hour trial. I wasted my monthly credit on this one and dropped BFG for the third and last time. Level 4.6 is challenging to the point of stupidity. How fast can you click your mouse? The upgrades don't really seem to work. There's a point where the server freezes -- part of the game --- and you have to wait for Quinn to unfreeze her. Even if I upgrade Quinn she doesn't move any faster. Makes the tasks much too difficult to finish. A goal challenge is only fun if it's possible. OK if gold is extremely difficult like the Farm Frenzy games. But a goal challenge stops the game. I'm stopped at level 4.6. Tried what the forums suggested but I can't click fast enough. Extremely disappointed in Playfirst and all.
