After playing the one hour trial, I saw no point in purchasing. It's just another entry in the 12 Labors of Hercules series; no better, no worse. Admittedly, the colors used were different, unsettling, and a little cartoonish. As stated by others, the game-play is quick and smooth. Had it been a standard game, perhaps, I would have spent a credit just for something new...but not as a Collector's Edition.
I'm not the first to say this, but what a shame the designer didn't follow through on the "alternate" mode from the first game. This is just another one of thousands of "griddlers" (nanograms or what have you) and not a particularly sophisticated one, either.
I guess I'll just keep replaying the first Mystery Mosaics.
I played through the trial period just to see if this mosaic puzzle had anything unique to offer. I will say that it was pretty, and the action was smooth, but I could find no reason to bother with this game when it had nothing to offer more than the ones I already have. There seem to be little jigsaw puzzles interspersed. Well, that's different, but if I wanted to do jigsaw puzzles, I'd open up one of the jigsaw puzzle games that I already own.
