I expect a good story, good art work, quality sound, and a good puzzle/HOG mix. This game has all of that. The story is intriguing from the first - what is really going on? Is sister a demon or a victim? Will we save a soul or loose them all? Along the way we explore extensive ground, luckily finding a couple of short cuts to help in our travels. All of the scenes were intricately and beautifully drawn. The puzzles included a couple variations I have not seen before. And the game was quite lengthy. My only complaint is the twelve HOGs at the end of the game. They might have been parsed out with a couple of puzzles to find the required items, instead of finding all of them in the HOGs. I really enjoyed this game.
I recommend this game!

"Fantastic Creations: House of Brass" CE is one of the few CE"s I'm glad to have acquired. While it is not perfect, the game play is excellent with lots of mini-puzzles and fairly tough HOGs. I liked the overall story line and the extra content gave a nice roundness to the story. Moving through the beautifully drawn scenes was less painful than usual due to the simple contrivance of an elevator that had picture buttons instead of numbers. The pictures reminded you of all that was on the level and facilitated correct movement from one hunt to the next. The voices added to the story and there was a bit of a surprise at the end.
I recommend this game!

"House of a Thousand Doors" actually has about a dozen doors plus portals to an alternate reality/dimension/plane. The cut scenes are good, storyline fairly engaging, the artwork beautiful, overall length of playtime short.
I often play a game again with younger players and am on the lookout for a good story as well as good HOG scenes. "House of a Thousand Doors" has both, just not enough of them. And I usually avoid CE's since they seldom pay for their extended price. I would highly recommend this game in a standard edition, not so much in a CE. If they come up with the follow-up, I'll be ready to try it.
I recommend this game!
