The Dana Knightstone series is somewhat of a fooler. It's different from the current genre out there now that always involve dragons, witches, evil spirits, etc. This takes you into the somewhat medieval realm, and the graphics are very good, and the mini-puzzles and games are more challenging than you would think for a game of this nature. A nice way to spend an afternoon if you have free time.
I recommend this game!

I tried the demo about a year ago, and said "eh". Tried the sequel demo and got intrigued again. Glad i stayed with it. Just the right amount of fantasy and reality. Not too hard, and intriguing story line. Not all ghouls and goblins. Actually has linear logic you can follow, unlike some other games. Definitely glad I came back.
I recommend this game!

What a pleasant surprise. Very fast moving, The main core is the Story mode, along with Relax, Challenge and Expert. Each level of play in Story mode adds additional menu items to the Burger Shop, which adds to the frazzle as you try and complete each customer's order in a certain period of time, without any of them leaving.
Excellent game for keeping your brain sharp, and honing time management skills as you have to wait on sometimes 4 customers at once with varying orders. Knowing when to use the "burger bot" adds to fun and complexity.
This is a sharp, fast-paced game, which you'll find yourself addicted to for hours unless you know when to call it quits for another day.
I recommend this game!

Great storyline, HO are not terribly difficult, wonderful graphics, apply linear logic and memory, and you don't need the strategy guide. Wish I could say that was all the time. No dark magic or occult. No blood and gore. A cut above all else that's currently out there.
I recommend this game!

The game, I found to be quite lengthy for one sitting, but the graphics are great, and unusual story line. Not your usual find the missing person. Hidden objects are not difficult to find, but you may need items collected from your inventory to succeed. Graphics are excellent, and the technical development behind the story make remind me of a Jules Verne story. Great incorporation of movie and still graphics. Definitely worth your time.
I recommend this game!

I review each game against what I've already played and what's out there. Technically, this game is way deficient versus other games offered by BFG. There is no seamless integration between scenes. Instead you're watching a black screen and a xx% loading time, which totally takes away from the story line, and probably adds another 45 minutes (not kidding) to the game while you're waiting for the screens to load. That's unacceptable IMHO considering the competition among game developers and the increasing sophistication among gaming audiences. Other than the wait to load screens, the game technically performs as it should.
The story line is not bad; puzzles are easy to medium difficulty; graphics are moody and atmospheric. The logic and puzzle solving needed to progress in the game will not frustrate you, as some other games can. Gore factor is minimal.
This is a good introduction to people who are new to BFG and video games in general. But as one progresses in the gaming world, you'll find this one's lack of basic technical symmetry bothersome.
I don't recommend this game.

I just got through the CE edition in its entirety, and worth the time. While the game's introduction leads you to believe this may be occult and the dark arts, far from it. While the main character is investigating paranormal occurrences, which involve some mediums and ghosts, there's no outlandish dark rituals and gore that you may find in other games.
The storyline is better than average, and centers around saving lost souls, with the main character going back and forth into the past and present time periods.
The graphics are quite good, and incorporates movie/video sequences with the usual linear progression. HO sequences are moderate in difficulty. There's enough going on in the game to hold your interest for several hours, along with a save and exit feature.
Overall, one of the better games out there this month from BFG.

This game is from Frogwares, which IMHO, is one of the best video game development studios out there. They take their time to get it right, and each of their games in the Holmes franchise does not fail to disappoint.
This is not a game for beginners and involves linear logic. You need to pay close attn to the characters and the clues they give. All is not what it seems, and you have to make sure you investigate every scene carefully for all clues (objects) and listen to/interrogate all the speakers.
The game takes place throughout London (London Museum, the Tower of London, etc), and is great for a rainy, snowy afternoon. You will find yourself immersed and not able to stop. Unlike "The Awakened", there's no gore, only fantastic graphics and storyline. You won't regret getting this one.
I recommend this game!

Love games that make me think, and while not equal to the other Sherlock Holmes games on the site, still very entertaining, with a different kind of story line that takes you back and forth from present to past. More adventure and linear thinking logic than hidden object, but very entertaining. Great! graphics and will definitely keep you entertained.
I recommend this game!

Some people may find this particular game a bit disconcerting since your mouse is in 360 degree mode. If you're not used to this type of mode, you could get dizzy. It's not one of my favorites, but once you get the hang of how to use the cursor, you're hooked. This is not a game for the beginner. It works linearly, meaning that you must complete tasks in order to go on to the next task and level. Wonderfully moody atmosphere, and there are some moments where you're on the clock, so watch out. The puzzles are medium to almost "aggghhhhh", but the Sherlock Holmes series from Frogwares, never fails to disappoint. One item, no Dr. Watson in this one. Holmes is on his own. Great introduction to the series.
I recommend this game!
