This is not a match 3 game, nor is it an action/adventure or time management game. It should be in either puzzle (loosely) or family genres.
You match the shapes at the bottom of the screen- tiaras, hearts, luggage tags and others that i question what they are into the blank holes on moving bars above. That's it. When the bars are full the customers outift becomes completed and they then check out, the number of customers per level increases. You get bonuses for matching items in the bar that are the same colour.
I really don't know what to say- this is not a challenge or a good way to pass the time, i guess for kids this might be entertaining, a bit like a tech version of shape sorters but in all honesty i just wouldn't bother and get them the toy form in person!
I don't recommend this game.

If you are new to TM games then this is a nice way to start, clear instructions, smooth gameplay and a chance to build up your skills.
However if you have played lots of TM games then this will be a very easy game to play- that isn't to say it's a bad game but it is frustrating as you feel held back by it's simplicity. The gameplay is repetitive, there are 10 levels per store and you start with minimal items at the start of each, using your earnings to fill the store with extra stock, sofas, changing rooms.etc. They do throw in tax inspectors, shoplifters and quality control to try and mix it up which does help.
The graphics are a bit dated but not bad by anymeans and the gameply is smooth and easy to control. You can skip the cutscenes and tutorials if you wish.
The couple of mini games are, well a way to bulk out the number of levels in all honesty. Simple spot the difference, matching photos are not taxing.
Overall i would recommend this game to either new TM players or if you want a game to dip into, the demo does pass an hour quite nicely but it's not for advanced players.
I recommend this game!

What a lovely game to stumble upon! I was hesitant, the title made me think this was going to be a kiddies game or a young title which are all good but not for me. However i looked at the screenshots and thought there looked more to it so i gave it a go.
This is a rare breed of adventure/HO games where you are often given a room and left to fend for yourself- something i really like, there are leveles with goals, objects to find but there are also levels where you are left to figure it out, and don't let the whimsy graphics fool you- they can be tricky!
There are the standard in between mini games of gears, crossed lines etc- you can't really escape those it woud seem but there is a skip button if you want it.
There is a bit too much narrative between the characters- you are aiding a little penguin to remember who he is and how he got here but you can click through the speech bubbles. There is a narrator penguin who will give you hints if you need them and the goals can be brought up when there are any.
The graphics are really lovely, all the characters are well drawn and the screenplay is very smooth.
If you are looking for a adventure game with a twist then this is a must, no violence so good for young and old though some of the puzzes took me a long time!
I recommend this game!

I gave this game 4 stars because it has nice graphics- definatley one for Alice in Wonderland fans, lots of whimsy touches, smooth gameplay and easy to pick up.
However, that aside this is another one of the very many stand behind a counter and serve customers game. They are nice enough to pass the time with but they aren't 'challenging', the expert level is easy to achieve well over and above the limit set out. It follows the standard format of seating customers, taking/preparing thier orders, serving and collecting the cash. You get bonuses for chaining actions and matching colours of customers to seats. It does have a nice shortcut where you can drag and click to speed up placing of items which was nice to see.
The money you earn gets spent in the shop to improve your store- shiny floors and more oven space, items to ease patience etc.
Overall it is one of many of this genre, every 10 levels you get a new shop and there are a couple of bonus levels of hidden objects and catch the food but after a while you really do get bored of the same thing over and over, once you've mastered planning ahead and chaingin things- wihch really is no problem at all the levels just become the same.
Not sure i would buy this, perhaps if i had extra credits or it was very cheap in a sale it could be one to dip in and out of to pass the time but not something i long for.
I recommend this game!

*based on playing the demo only*
As a fan of TMG's games i found this to be a pleasant surprise, i can't say it is particularly challenging but that isn't to say that it isn't fun to play.
As a lot of them the basic premise is to restore barron town squares in order to save the kingdom- there is no violence etc in this game and the graphics are very family friendly. To restore the square you need to build a variety of attractions- think circus tents etc, shops- such as sweets and tailors and so on, thus earning money and smiles. The building work is carried out by magicians- whom you hire in varying amounts and they use magic (clearly) which you buy by the bottle or get from warding off ogres.
There is a guiding creature that doesn't hold your hand like lots of games as you can easily turn him off but as the levels progress he gets quieter anyway and leaves you to follow the goals on your own. The goals are the standard build 'x', earn 'X' amount of money, drive away 'x' ogres etc.
You get two times- gold and silver, i found it easy to fill the gold but a couple of them were quite tight as it does involve a bit of thinking ahead- which is why i enjoyed the demo.
I'm not certian i will buy the full game as yet- i'm working my way through titles to try and find ones that rival royal envoy, kingdom for the princess etc but it's a definate maybe!
I'd say give it a go if you are looking for a nice way to lose an hour, i didn't regret trying it even though it didn't instantly appeal to me.
I recommend this game!

I really wanted to like this game, ive always been a fan of the time strategy games, and so i thought i'd give it a go. I saw it as along the same lines of All My Gods, Island tribe but with bigger scope for the stroy to develop, multiples characters etc, i guess is was secretly hoping it would be a take on the original settlers too. And yet i am giving up on it- something i rarely ever do with games!
The reason- even on the hardest setting you are still handheld throughout the entire game. I appreciate that on the easy setting/relaxed settings that appeals to some people but i am no first time gamer and would love to just be given the goals for the chapter and thats it! I don't need to be told to repair damaged buildings or speak to 'x', build more houses etc, i can as can most others, work that out for themselves, it is after all a strategy game, would the developers of this game sit behind someone playing chess telling them every single move they are going to make? It really is infuriating as it is simply not a challenge. Even on the harder setting the timer isn't even an issue, well how could it be, do what they say when they say and bingo your in time. I had hoped the handholding would get less, but 7 chapters in and it's driven me to abandon all hope!
That aside the fact you can't save a level is incredibly annoying- and will cause many to lose patience with the game having to start over due to whatever disruption came up and having to go through all the instructions yet again.
It didn't bother me about not being able to demolish buildings in the scheme of the game but am just curious as to why it isn't an option? Being able to reharvest supplies and reuse land can't make the game any easier with all the prompts!
The screenplay is good, the graphics are nice, the music is as most music is on these games, best turned right down but it's within the theme of the game. It can't be faulted for that approach but as far as a challenging game, or even a game i think this leaves a lot to to be desired. Perhaps if they continue to make the others on the series they will allow for a function where you get the level goals and let you be on your merry way, if not then i shall have to say this will be my only attempt at it.
I don't recommend this game.
