Forget the storyline.....this is not 'The Walking Dead'...you are just trying to stop the zombie hoardes from barging in through your front door and making a yummy snack on your gooey brains.
To do this you have a large selection of plants.........melon flinging catapult plants, pea-shooters that fire peas, ice, fireballs, or multi-fire; little shop of horrors Audrey type zombie-eaters, wall-nuts, lily-pads, potato mines, mushrooms that fire spores, sunflowers that allow you to power up and earn plants and plenty of others.
Add to this puzzles, zen garden, mini games and a shop then you have an infinate gameplaying experience that is absolutely an essential purchase.
Wave after wave of different types of zombies......miner zombies, bungee jumping zombies, snorkling zombies, samuel l jackson disco dancing zombies, and cave troll alike zombies all come hurtling at various rates of knots over your garden, roof and swimming pool and its up to you to choose which plants you need to stop them.
Fun, fun, fun, fun.........thats all you need to know!! Highly recommended game that will appeal to EVERYBODY :0)
I recommend this game!

A fun simple game for beginners and intermediate players although the experts will not find it much of a challenge.
PLUS:-
Good storyline. Easy to follow. Quick refill hint button. Very simple HOS and puzzles. Nice graphics. Nice to have the beyond objects to find as an extra during gameplay. The map tells you where to go so you dont get stuck or lost.
MINUS:-
No instant travel on the map so you have a lot of traipsing back and forth. Puzzles are too simple for expert players. Not overally long.
All in all a good, sound game for most people with an enjoyable storyline. Will probably replay in a few months to see if i can find the last few beyond objects that i missed. A solid 7 out of 10.
I recommend this game!

Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

Im very conflicted about this game....it did kind of grow on me the longer i played but is it a game i would ever replay?
PLUS:-
creepy, immersive adult storyline; clever interaction between locations; very clever puzzles that require some serious thought; fast charging hint button that can be recharged while you do something else; long game which took me several days to complete; the one or 2 hidden object scenes you get are cleverly thought out and original
MINUS:-
Seriously sick twisted parts in there.....dont even bother playing this if your eating or are pregnant, it deals with some child abuse issues and is very disturbing; frustrating puzzles with no hint button (which is only available in the morphing scenes) which left me on a few occasions looking for a walkthrough; on one puzzle some of the numbers were supposed to be 6's but looked like b's making it hard to solve unless you were told this; only one or two hidden object scenes, the rest were finding the morphing objects which is ok for a few times but not for the whole game; no map; no skip on puzzles either which is annoying if your stuck; no instant travel so a lot of traipsing back and forth, at times to a dead end until you learn to find your way around; some truly disgusting things to do in places.....spots, toenails and nose hair clippings oh my; dosent log any clues that you find so unless you write them down you are going to have to do a lot of backtracking to find them again; the first chapter goes back over the same locations so that was a bit boring;
CONCLUSION
Has a lot more minus points than plus. This is definately one for lovers of the macabre, and is definately for expert hardcore players. If your a beginner or easily offended then please avoid this as it will give you nighmares both on a visual scale and the puzzles will drive you nuts. If on the other hand you relish both a challenge and a journey into the mind of a derranged madman then you will love this. It is a brave and successful attempt at doing something different and challenging, but like certain films (such as Hostel, or The Human centipede for example), it is not everyones cup of tea.
I hope the makers will come back with a fresh new game away from the twisted mind of Charles Dalimar. It was fun while it lasted but im looking forward to a more lighter game next from the wonderful Mystery Case Files team.
I don't recommend this game.

If your looking for a spooky tale set in an asylum then this is the game for you.
Great graphics, non-annoying sound, solid story which gets the game off to a good start.
As we move onto the first of several different challenging puzzles, we actually have a game which requires you to think for once. I wouldnt recomend this game for beginners.
I enjoyed the challenge of being able to hack into online characters in-game computers so the fact that you get to do this a couple of times in game was a nice touch.
Your camera can take instant pictures of hints and clues which is a bonus, as is the fact you can actually bring them up to look at them if your stuck on a puzzle.
Each section of the story only has a few different scenes, negating the annoying travelling backwards and forwards found in some games.
I finished the game in 2 evenings so it did provide value for money and i will replay it again.
Missing for me were replayable mini games; items to collect which unlocked bonuses; rewards, or character development but i suppose you cant have everything and they have to save something for the collectors edition.
All in all a solid, creepy game for horror fans. Cant wait for the sequel.
I recommend this game!

One of the more challenging games (so not recomended for beginners.......perfect for intermediates) and not necessarily the most fun. The story line was ok but could have been better......visuals were very good, music i turned down as i found it a little distracting. The puzzles fell into either hidden objects (which were not too challenging although if i have to find any more bells or scissors i am going to scream......) and mini games which varied from the annoying to the unadventurous. The one quite fun card game at the very end you could only play once and i would have loved to have been able to play more mini card games.
I presume theres more in the collectors edition as i completed the game leaving one puzzle unsolved which i personally found frustrating as i like to fully complete my games.
It could have done with a map as there was a lot of backing and forwarding and i did get a little lost one or two times because i had not looked fully in an area and had missed something and i would have enjoyed a bit more detail in the story.
Having completed i dont think i would replay (hence the rating) and it wasnt the most enjoyable game ive played but it was suitably grim and a bit dark but could have been much better if the puzzles had been cleverer and more frequent; the cards were utilised more; and the storyline was deeper, darker and longer.
I don't recommend this game.

POSITIVES:-
Sound effects and graphics were of the highest quality
Engrossing storyline and intriguing mystery to solve
SUPERB voice acting......could not fault at all.
Clever puzzles which were indeed different to any others ive encountered to date.
Fast loading times in between scenes.
Involves you in the world of voodoo......you get to find spell ingredients, cast spells and dispell spirits using the potions that you made.
Interesting characters
MINUS POINTS:-
Little bit of a misleading title...........the plural 'storieS' makes you think there was more than one main story to play..............unfortunately theres only the one, but its a good one, its just a shame that there wasnt a couple more.
Quite a short game, can be finished in a couple of hours.
Great game for beginners, but wont pose much of a challenge to experience gamers.
Would have loved to have seen more puzzles, and more little things to do such as collecting items for extra bonuses, or had some mini games included. This would have made it fantastic.
A couple of times the music seemed a bit out of place as it didnt fit the mood.
Quite a linear story and scenes.
HOG scenes were very easy.
CONCLUSION
Dont let the minus points put you off getting this game, especially if its reduced or you choose it for free. Its an EXCELLENT quality game and i loved it; only wish it was much longer and a bit more of a challenge but hopefully there will be a sequel that addresses that.
I recommend this game!

Im a HOG gal, but i played the demo for Haunted Domains and immediately got the full version. Its fun!! Basically you earn points to upgrade your horror hotels to accomodate guests such as the invisible man, Dracula, zombies, vampires, mad scientists, elvis werewolves, Hardy ghosts (minus Laurel) and witches; you have a magic dog/chest equilivilent of Rincewinds luggage to help you store items such as food, wine, charm balls, potions, black roses and laundry. There 4 main hotels to refurbish and 50 levels to get through and it will pose a good challenge while you work out the best way to earn the points needed to pass each level. A lovely break from HOG and well worth a purchase. Enjoy! I hope they make another one with the Mummy :0)

Managed to complete this game in an evening without getting too stuck or needing a walkthrough, so a great game for beginners and intermediate although experts might not find it challenging enough. Turn the music off to enjoy the effects............the rain, croaking frogs, thunder etc really add to the atmosphere of the game. Storyline seemed a little rushed, personally i would have liked it to have lasted longer and taken a bit more to piece the story together. Graphics were lovely and the hidden objects fairly straightforward to find. There were not many mini games (which i love) or other puzzles really so i personally wouldnt replay this one, but if you can get it reduced or free by using one of your credits then its a fun way to spend an evening.
I recommend this game!

A beautiful game...... graphics are cell shaded which makes a refreshing change although this did make a couple of items in the hidden object scenes hard to find . Puzzles are quite straightforward if not a little repetitive but not too taxing and the story keeps ticking along nicely. It took me a couple of evenings to complete so great value for money and would be replayable as its a fun game which is accessible both for beginners and for experts. I enjoyed the gameplay, loved the graphics and recomend this game to all fans of the HOG genre.
