After playing Deadly Sin I was very pleased to see that there was a sequel, of sorts. The storyline was pretty basic for this genre, but enjoyable all the same. The characters are widely different from one another, making the dialogue very interesting. The gameplay itself was very understandable and not particularly difficult, so long as you kept up the character building throughout the story. Overall good, solid rpg.
I recommend this game!

This is an excellent start to an excellent series. Each character has their own personality, which is a welcome treat when many games just don't expand enough on character development. Most of the challenges found in the game can be completed with ease, though some do take a bit of work (particularly in the first stages of the game). There are even some hidden surprises if people want a faster, easier play through. I'd say that this is a definite must for anyone who loves RPGs. :)
I recommend this game!

This is definitely a darker take on the classic Alice in Wonderland story (which can be a bit dark as is). I thought the characters and story were interesting enough, but I didn't absolutely love playing through it. Some of the puzzles were... annoying at best, impossible at worst. There didn't seem to be enough in-game help. Many of the puzzles took a lot of thought in order to solve. Which I admit isn't always a bad thing.
Overall not a horrible game... just not the best. Definitely not worth a second play through; at least not by me.
I don't recommend this game.

This was the first Nancy Drew game I ever played. Come to think of it, it might also have been the first in-depth computer game I've ever played too! As such, the Secret of Shadow Ranch has always held a special place in my heart. This game offers a beautifully done mystery with lots of tasks of varying difficulties, fantastic graphics, and wonderful voice actors to play these beloved characters. Most of the puzzles can be solved without too much difficulty, but if you get stuck Nancy's friends are always available for help. :)
I recommend this game!

This time Nancy is pitted against a saboteur on a movie set. Although this is a great game for Nancy Drew lovers, some might find the point scoring system used throughout the game annoying. I wouldn't say that this game is very difficult at all as all the tasks can easily be completed using common sense as well as by paying attention to Nancy's comments about what needs to be done. I found the graphics to be fairly good quality, though a bit more on the cartoonish side than is seen in the usual mysteries.
I recommend this game!

When I saw the other reviews for this game I was a bit worried, but after playing through the demo I decided that I could stand to buy it. Not overly challenging, this game presents itself in an almost comic-like manner which appealed to me in some aspects. In some ways it reminded me of games like "Hotel Dusk: Room 215" as the general way that the game was laid out was very similar. Overall I say it's worth it if you're in the mood for something simple, though for anyone looking for more of a challenge, you're probably better off finding something else.
I don't recommend this game.

If you want a classic point and click adventure RPG, well, you've found it. Art of Murder: FBI Confidential follows a fairly linear script, where you must complete all the given tasks before you're allowed to leave an area (i.e. before you can leave the FBI offices you have to take care of all business). One thing I wish was different was actually being able to call people in the game at any time, rather than wait for it to happen automatically. I also found several of the puzzles quite challenging, and thought it would have been nice for a Skip option to be available, for beginners.
I recommend this game!

...at all. For anyone expecting this to be a great point and click adventure game like the first three Art of Murder, well, you over expected. Now a HOG, Secret Files has managed to lose all of the intrigue and finesse that made those first three so enjoyable. While I wouldn't call the story itself boring, it really was lacking. Maybe if I had started with this game I wouldn't be so disappointed... then again, maybe I would be.
I don't recommend this game.

For the most part I enjoyed this game. Decent characters (and lots of them), an engaging murder-based storyline, and lots of ways to level up. I was a big fan of the quests, especially, as they provided an extra bit of challenge for true adventure lovers who like to click on everything, talk to everyone, and basically do everything they can in a game. The game play was a bit annoying at times, especially in towns because it was so easy to click on the wrong little arrow and end up in a building you didn't actually want to go into. I also would have liked a bit more back story to some of the characters. Other than that, I really did enjoy this game.
I recommend this game!

Bringing back primarily minor characters from the first Aveyond, Aveyond 2 draws the player into its unique story and threatens to never let them go again. ;P While I did love this game, overall, I have extremely mixed feelings on the goodie caves included within the game. One one hand I did appreciate the ability to quickly work my way through certain parts of the game. On the other hand, I thought that the caves took away the challenge, which is part of the reason why Aveyond is so much fun. But then, the caves can just be avoided, so that's not too big of an issue.
I recommend this game!
