I love the clean graphics, the huge numbers of time periods you visits, the backstory, historical accuracy, and the real sense of location and culture.
At times the hint system was frustrating (it would just point to the objective in the room, and maybe not the item you overlooked), but overall it's great game that I will love to play again!
I recommend this game!

Disappointing

I made the mistake of playing the series in order, meaning I played inheritance first. I don't recommend doing that if you want to play this game. They are basically completely unrelated. Even though the first game had simplistic, and at times frustrating, game play I fell in love with the clean graphics, the HO that weren't junkpiles, and the real sense of history and culture of each location (and there were many!). I was highly disappointed to realize this game had basically nothing to do with it's predecessor. Not just with the retconning of the backstory, but also in tone and style.
Maybe I would have liked it if I hadn't just played inheritance first, but I can't say I was happy to see junkpiles, historical inaccuracy, limited travel locations, and a still frustrating hint system drowned out all the charm of the last game. I want ball and vivian back. :(
