To be fair, the game was Ok. My review is really about the "new" Big Fish but I can't find a platform to use. I'm cancelling my subscription which, after 10 years or more really saddens me. I'm not exactly sure how long I've been a member because it now seems virtually impossible to find my old games - oh, unless I want to scroll back from the last one I bought (which was this one). Why should it be so difficult? And why, if "Your current balance is 2796 points It can be redeemed for $27.96 at checkout" am I being charged more than £26 for 2 games while you hold onto the rest? 2 games, by the way, I wont be buying.
I bought this having forgotten just how boring I found the original. It's like going right back to basics with no ability to use a map and hop between locations - I mean, just how many times do I need to go up and down those stairs? I've now decided to give up because, no matter what I do, I am unable to colour in the sun/moon ....... and I've reached the realisation that I actually don't care enough to be bothered any more. My life really is too short. I absolutely do not recommend this game.
I tried the demo to see if the game would be suitable for my grandsons, who love the Goosebumps books. After the first few minutes I knew their boredom would have matched mine so tried to escape ........ and tried, and tried ..... I have never needed to resort to Control, Alt, Delete to get out of a game before. Even Escape didn't work! I mean, really? Children today expect a level of gameplay/graphics/technology that is woefully lacking in this (so called) game. Seriously - Don't bother.
When Hector, Demon Hunter for hire, agreed to save a lost tourist from the haunted Museum of Mysticism and Monstrosity, he never imagined that he could be the one in need of saving.
This game feels like a throwback to those I bought 10 years ago. I just had to check that it's actually a recent addition - not one being sold cheaply from years back There is absolutely no attempt at animation; the style of artwork is childlike; don't get me started on just how truly terrible the voices are; the only saving grace is that there is an interactive map because the whole game seems to be based around 'do this- go there- do that - go there - do this - go back there ......' I rarely write reviews but this just had to have a mention. Don't waste your money..
Looking at the other reviews I'm wondering if I played a different game because I thought it was truly awful. Everything about it was boring, from the drab colours to the even more drab and miserable storyline. And as for the voices!!!! Oh my word - I have no idea if they are meant to be Irish accents but I'm assuming so. I see other reviewers have praised them ???? That alone makes me question if we played the same game because, let me assure you, those voiceovers belong somewhere indeterminate - but a long, long way from Ireland. I've played all the other games in this series and enjoyed them .... but definitely not this time.
Truly awful - not much more I can say. I've played all the Puppet Show games and enjoyed them, hence my buying the CE. I've rarely regretted spending money so much!
I have no words! Had to go to the forum for both of the first two minigames - after which I deleted it. I played this game, though didn't enjoy it, quite successfully the first time around. Having received an update I thought it might have improved. Oh No .... it has become impossible (for me). I'm sure some people will love it but my life is too short to be wasting time on this.
