I Love this game. I Love the Hidden Objects. I Loved the Morphing Objects, Collectibles and Picture Fragments that are 4 Jig-saw puzzles in the end. The Collectibles are Large Monsters hidden in things in the scene. I couldn't find the witch and I have the guide. I wish they would make the pictures in the guide bigger.
I'm not big on puzzles or challenge but found some puzzles I liked- Match 3, Shooting monster doll with a sling shot, Hidden in the bushes from the monsters, opening case with runes and In the Bonus Chapter I Loved paint by number but sadly this one isn't in the mini-puzzle replay.
My Favorite Hidden Object was the Halloween treats feast table. But I loved them all. Of course this is a Hidden Object Game. The Best of this game is the trial. I think the collectibles and wow slow down after that. I still enjoyed it. The bonus chapter adds to the story but doesn't have the wow factor as the trial portion.
I'm glad I have it. If you like Christmas stories you may like this too. Try for yourself.

The scenes look so large to me, it's just great. I didn't Love seeing a man chase a woman with a knife though. But I think that was the worse of it.

I can look at the scenes all day. Bright beautiful colors.
Vast with 35 scenes in the main game, you either have to use the map or hint with every or every other move. It kept you moving all over. More so after the trial. I was so over whelmed. I have a good scents of direction but not here. I wasn't liking it for a while and had to take two days off from it and come back. The Bonus game was short and sweet and didn't over whelm.
Lots of puzzles. I'm a Hops girls and there were so many I didn't want to do. Didn't have much directions. Some you can't skip. This would be great for some people but not me. I did find several puzzles I did like. Liked leaf pattern, frog with cloak, amber jig-saw, connection the colors, flower inter and outer pieces, find the dragon, shooting the larva so they turn into butterflies, painting, animal vase and Bonus, bird parts.
The Hops are beautiful. I hope I counted correctly. 14 in the main game and 6 in the bonus. In the main game my favorite hop was the stone mural. In the bonus my favorites hops were under water and mural.
12 morphs that are creatures. Nice size and can only collect when they are visible. Has Achievements. In bonus selection, under Media Screen. 18 Concept Art, 27 Posters, 10 Videos, 18 Music No Downloads, Replay 27 Mini-Games and 20 Hidden-Objects.
I recommend this game!

I think this is the Best Game of 2017 so far that I played. Beautiful and Super Fun. At first I was put off that I couldn't skip some puzzles but kept on going and it grow on me. Lots of times it didn't give instruction but I figured it out. You would think match two feathers and it wouldn't work so after a while you would think match 3 feathers and it would work. Be prepared not to have your paper next to your puzzle, you'll have to remember or relook or write it down. I would of liked to have the paper next to some of the runes or some of the harder to remember puzzles.
I got a big kick out of the 2 recipes. I'm not crazy about recipes, but these only had three ingredients and you had two already on the tool bar. But the picture of what the recipe did was so funny.
I counted 14 hops in the main game and 8 in the bonus chapter. The Hops are multi-layered. They had so many really good ones. One hop, you would find 12 Ravens and find, this + that or Figures from the Golem war, then just the ones with hammers and ones with mace. Really enjoyed.
It has really good music. Enjoyed finding 15 Morphing Masks. Found 90 gems, when all found at the end of the game you have a match three game. The Achievements are nice statues on a shelf. The Bonus Chapter was fun as well and you get to see Harold's amazing house with a green house. I love his button-tucked furniture.
I'm a hops girl but enjoyed these puzzles a lot. The lens folding over the runes and they had to match, similar items that- this + that equal, maze, match three identical items.
Four Worlds-Flying Creatures, Sand, Ice and Darkness. All Beautiful.

That question was my first thought when I seen that. I wanted to love this game and I started out loving it. I Loved the list hops. I loved the money to buy what you need. I felt I wasn't stealing. I like collecting the roses but numbering the collectible isn't the same as telling you if you got one in a particular scene. I like the mystery and story.
What I didn't like was a surplus of notes to read. I'm alright with reading notes but this game had the most I have every seen. One puzzle was all Q&A with a black screen and if it didn't like your answers you had to start over after the third time I skipped it. I didn't like the fight puzzle either and several more.
The puzzles I did like were Target on the ghost, gate puzzle, crowns, jigsaw of signs, bar card memory and nut shell.
The hops I especially loved where shooting gallery hop and hop with list and jigsaw in the coffin.
The collectible roses after the bonus game was fun because you bought flower bouquets for 9 skeleton brides and they were brides from the previous Grim Facade game and had comments.I really enjoyed this.

First off I got some blurry parts on my Windows 10 from this game. Second - To me the so called Hops are puzzles disguised as hops. Third-The multi color lens to hunt for rocks are No fun. As the rest of the puzzles are No fun. Fourth-It felt wrong. I felt Sick to my stomach. I felt Disdain. I Hate this game.
I will Delete!
I don't recommend this game.

I was amazed where this game took me. It's old probably 2012. Games from 2012 have No Map, Not the hint we see today (Doesn't lead us around or help much.) Not much in Extras. Old guides are very helpful and detailed with even hops. You have more back and forth with older games. The scenes look like actors superimposed over art work. I think I need the guide in all old games. I think some old games are way better than some new ones.
This Game started out with Gangsters and I quit the trial early. I came back months later and got hooked and bought it.
SPOILER ALERT......If you read you won't be Surprised
Started out with Gangster, then went to a Vampire that has cowboy accents, then to a Ghost ship and finished with museum items on a ship with Egyptian and Hindu accents. Boy what a ride.
It has a scene at a clockmaker's workshop. It has 17 clocks. I will play again up to that point just to be in that room to hear the clocks. I will keep it there just to visit that place. All the other places have bad music and sounds. The ocean sounds good but a shrilly bird spoils it and I have to turn the sound off. The music is replayed often and I can't hear the same music for hours.
Hops are great with fifteen in the main game and six in the bonus. My favorite in the main game has a nutcracker and two small puzzles, sequence and matching. My favorite hop in the bonus also has a puzzle in it, it has a mouse maze.
I really like the mini-games in this game. Not crazy hard but the last puzzle in the bonus was complex. I used the guide and understood after several minutes. The puzzles I liked were fun and not hard. They were a stage coach, matching color, connect channels. In the bonus chapter, I liked these puzzles, the mermaid, key shapes, food related and the last complex one.
I learned a new game skill- wood working.
The plus items in this game are put together by pulling one plus item over the other on the tool bar.
I love this game so much, I will play it again later. And to think I almost passed this one by.
I recommend this game!

I admit I wasn't going to buy this. I thought the trial was slow and a bit boring. But I had a coupon and got this because the horned woman looked so intriguing and the CE reviews were pretty good and if I didn't like it I could just delete it.. I like CE's so missed the bling and guide but I rarely used the hint button on this game but really used the map a lot.
It got so much better and more intriguing. I like fables any ways. I bought the CE yesterday of this game on sale, so I can use the bling, the guide on some puzzles and play the bonus game. So will play it later on since I just finished the SV. I know the CE came out April, five months ago, but when I try out a game, I keep it on my list to buy or not buy and replay from the start when I get around to it, because I want to play when I want to play. If I don't start at the beginning again it seems like something is missing or I don't take the whole game in since I have a lot of time in between trying it and playing it.
I counted 15 Hops and was very happy with them. I only liked 6 Mini-games. They were, place the right flower shape in the notched shape, place icons in the right notched place, follow the wolf like Simon said, snake Simon said, strike the snake, wolf chess moves. I thought they were fun. Skipped Ten puzzles, always skip fool with it and perplexing puzzles when I don't have a guide to look at and not every puzzle is easy for every non-beginner. Not everybody can do every thing so don't feel bad if puzzles aren't easy for you. I don't think mini-puzzle add anything to the story it only slows you down. But Hops are important in Hop games. That's why I play and buy from that category.
What I found interesting since this is a Norse Fable was, Old Norse is the North Germanic language of the Scandinavian people before the 14th Century according to the Dictionary. Search on-line it looks like just German.
This game has a gadget that is a snow globe for evidence. I thought it was cool looking. I didn't care for some of the music I thought it was shrilly in parts. The music around the horned lady was beautiful movie music. I could live all day without the whining wolf.
So I thought I found a gem using a coupon on this game.
I recommend this game!
Golems are taking over Glanville, and only you can stop them!

Their is a small Golem who reminds me of a small scarecrow from a different game. He is the cutest. He is in the Bonus game also. I don't like sad endings and I thought the Bonus Chapter has a sad ending.
The first game in this series had 26 miniatures. I think their like the 14 Statuettes you collect for this CE. I wish they did more. I Loved the 25 Morphs.

I like my games relaxed and the hops with lists. I really liked the 2 hops that had you find 4 items and place them, then the list and you have a few pieces to put together at the end. I counted 9 hops in the main game and 4 in the bonus.
I enjoy relaxed mini-games also. My favorite puzzles were, the bakery related puzzle, carton town puzzle, stick person going around danger, matching, matching symbols.
They have replayable 13 hops and 12 mini-games.
I recommend this game!
Snow, Ice and the deadly wind blowing from the Frozen Mountains! The Lost Lands have been overtaken by ice in the middle of summer!

What they called hidden object, I'd call super puzzle. I really hated starting it and then I mastered it. They have 8 in the main game and 3 in the bonus. No skipping these. I would have more fun with list Hops. More relaxing and no dread.
Really Loved the Storyline. Nomianna's Pumpkin was great. I wasn't stealing things in this story. I think Folnur the Dwarf is Great also. Several likeable characters and creatures.
Lots to collect and 30 morphs. Very Mini-game heavy with 19 to replay. 5 square movable/swap piece puzzles are a bonus for finding all collectibles. No replay for so called Hops.
I recommend this game!
