I couldn't even make through the 60 minute trial. The HOGs were just a boring jumble, and I still haven't come to more than one puzzle - a very easy one at that. Nope. Not interested.

This is some game, and there's a lot of it. I lost track of the number of items used in inventory, and the number of hours of enjoyment I got from this game. Very complex action with tools you may have had for a long time before ever needing them. I don't think I've ever used a hint button as much as I did in this game - and I was in casual mode! Rich locations with lots of things to do. More adventure than HOG, but still plenty of those. Don't give up. Just know that you will get what you need eventually. If I could do an upgrade to the Collector's Edition, I would. (I'm too cheap to buy it separately. LOL) So, if you like a challenging game, go ahead and buy the CE.

Very enjoyable game with lots of HOS and good puzzles. There is an awful lot of traveling from screen to screen, and an interactive map might have been nice, but no big omission. One recommendation to Big Fish, though. I've seen this in other games too, and it is this: When a game is developed by a team where English is a second (or third or fourth) language, it would be good to have the HOS proofed by a native English speaker as the objects sometimes have a wrong name. That didn't stop me from enjoying the game, but it is goofy sometimes.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this game. At first, the unusual style of the HO scenes was a little tough, but I quickly got used to the artwork and ended up really liking it. The monocromatic artwork in the "shady" HO scenes was also new and fun. The portals and other graphics were also delightful. The puzzles were fun and of mixed skill levels. I also enjoyed the variations on a theme of the rune puzzles. A couple times I accidentally hit the "skip" button thinking it was a "reset" button, so I'll still have some new puzzles to solve next time around. I will definitely enjoy playing this one again!
I recommend this game!

I haven't come upon a game constructed like this one before, and after playing I'd say that I prefer the more conventional HOG construction. Although the panoramic graphics were fun at first, they were quite choppy in some scenes - even with a quad-core Mac. That's just an esthetic issue. It didn't interfere with play. What I did find frustrating was that in the puzzle scenes, it was very difficult to find the sweet spot where the curser would react. You'd know that this item went there, but it would sometimes take a ton of clicking to make it happen. I would have given this game 4 stars except for that issue.

Good story line, great graphics, challenging games, well made hidden object scenes. And everything worked. This was an excellent game, and I wished it were longer.

In a word, that's how I measure this game. The dull gray landscape was to be expected, but the game requires a great deal of clicking from screen to screen in order to move about this empty village. There is a map, but it is not interactive, and you cannot use it to move from place to place.
The hidden object scenes rely on blur and low contrast to hide the objects, and I don't care for that type of HOG. Also, it's somewhat annoying that many of the hidden objects are completely out of period. Not a big deal, but it cheapens the game experience.
So far, all the Blue Tea productions have been delightful. The Exiled Prince is probably the best of the three I've played. The hidden object scenes (of which there are plenty!) are particularly well done. The artists have cleverly altered the size and color of some objects while rotating them occasionally. All makes for a much more interesting search. The puzzles are not terribly difficult, though the last one had me thwarted for some time! Overall visual quality is really superb! Well done!
