I've always loved ERS games but I've only just been able to play some of them with previously owning a Mac PPC. The Puppet games are great but have too many HOS for my liking and the music is a bit repetitive. However I was so surprised to see some graphics that I've created in one of the HOS (a real buzz for me that everyone seems to think the graphics are brilliant, even though they haven't given me credit which they should have done but that's another story)
The first 10minutes of the game was taken up with dialogue that you couldn't skip. Then another 5 minutes of credits. Navigation is awful. After going round in circles for about 15 minutes I was bored to tears. There's no way to save your progress or no way to quit.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
Just played the demo and waiting for the full version to download. I'm a fan of MCF but the only thing I find disappointing are the hidden object scenes, not just in MCF but in most adventure games. To me I think the hidden object scenes are a lazy way to make the game last longer, and not very creative.
However, the morphing objects in this game are a little bit different, but still a bit of a lazy way out of making the game last longer. But the game is great anyhow.
I hope they make another one that doesn't have either hidden objects or morphing objects - make the adventure games REAL adventure games with mini puzzles, and make hidden object games a genre of their own as its difficult to find an adventure game without hidden objects scenes.
