I bought this game as a daily deal. Don't be misled. From the screenshots I thought this was a ball and paddle brick blaster type game where you bounce the ball off your paddle and break the bricks, kind of like Pong back in the day.
It definitely isn't that. In fact once you shoot the ball from your paddle the first time, you can't ever catch it again. The game play depends on you shooting the ball in the right direction so that it stays on the game area long enough to take out a maximum number of balls. Unfortunately, this doesn't follow any kind of apparent logic or reason. Shoot the ball one way, and it'll head in an entirely unthought of direction. This makes the game extremely difficult, even in the early stages. I played for about an hour before I gave up in despair.
The graphics are nice, but the sound is very annoying from the music to the sound effects. The game does feature diary entries of some robot that are amusing and quirky, but that doesn't make up for the bizarre and unmanageable game play.

This game is a great time killer, that also requires some brain intensive logic. Great for keeping the faculties sharp. However the sameness of the puzzles and the difficulty in the later levels means you can only play for about 30 minutes at a time before you get either bored or frustrated.
I don't know how to describe the game play itself besides saying it's kind of like a twist on minesweeper, except much more fun.
The background activity of collecting points to "buy" items to fill up whatever environment you're in is nice enough but fairly pointless. It'd be nicer if each item you bought led to some other type of puzzle or something.
Still a good game for when you have a spare 20 minutes to kill and want to tax your brain.

This game isn't quite as good as the others in this series (Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe`s Murders in the Rue Morgue and Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe's The Black Cat), but it still provides plenty of HOG/Puzzle entertainment. The graphics are beautiful. The characters were all voiced and well acted which adds a lot to the story and atmosphere. The game wasn't quite as long as I would have liked, even with the Bonus content in the Collector's Edition.

This game was quite creepy and spooky, but I quite enjoy that kind of thing. Game was very fun and interesting. It was unpredictable, which I quite liked. Beautiful graphics, creepy sound effects. Puzzles were good but a few of them were too hard and some not hard enough. Still I definitely recommend this game, especially to people who like creepy games.

I can't recommend this game unfortunately. I'm probably spoiled a bit by the high quality of other games offered by BigFish, but this one just isn't on par. The graphics are pretty poor. Also the dialogue in the game was clearly written by a non English speaker and several things don't actually make sense. For instance in one Hidden Object scene it wanted me to find "tables" and I clicked every table in the scene before I realized they meant "paintings". I think the word they wanted was "tableau". The puzzles are very easy, too easy, once you figure out the wording of the directions which is similarly garbled. The static backgrounds and non-voiced characters make for a pretty boring game.

This is a nice game. The graphics and music were nice and the characters interesting. I also liked the bits of real history included in the game, as I'm something of a history buff. The puzzles and hidden object scenes were fun with just the right level of challenge. The storyline was a bit muddied, and it ends kind of abruptly in a way that doesn't make total sense, so that was a little disappointing since it was great up until the end.

This was a great game. The graphics and music were really beautiful, and the story and characters were cute and charming. The puzzles were very nice. They were intuitive and logical, and it was pretty clear what you needed to do next. My only caveat was that sometimes it was hard to find all the active areas in the game. I would mouse all around and the cursor wouldn't change at first. Still, a very nice game.

This game was just OK. The graphics are very nice. The story was a little boring and pointless though, and some of the puzzles didn't make much sense. It's a nice quick play for a single afternoon time killer.
