I came into Clutter out of order, having purchased one of them as the deal of the day. I liked it well enough to buy 2 more - Clutter V (Welcome to Clutterville) is the most recent. Clutter is a game that people seem either to love or hate. My feelings were a mixture of both - I really enjoyed the game, but found the whole Leon-Ana-Joe thing in an earlier version (He Said / She Said) confusing. Turns out there is no Leon, but there IS Joe, the creator of these games. He's refreshingly candid (posts his detractors' comments as well as those from his fans) and really does listen to what his audience has to say. Clutter V is hands down the best so far, in my opinion. For one thing, the game play is much longer. I also like that I can set options to skip, change music, and much more. Joe has made some tweaks to the game play that aren't found in previous versions. This version also contains a section where you can play just the box quotes, which I really enjoy. If you were on the fence about previous versions of this game, give this one a try. And if you have never played Clutter, I'd also encourage you to give this version a try. I like it well enough that if Joe does a Clutter VI, I'm in.
I recommend this game!

I've purchased all the Park Ranger games and both Cruise Director games. I'm tired of the doom and gloom games and wanted a break - this provides a relaxing escape. I don't have to travel all over the place to find things, consult strategy guides, mix potions, or become depressed by all the darkness that's in so many of the other games. My only complaint, as I'm part way through Cruise Director 2, is that I wish they had left the guitar behind. Cruise Director 1 had more piano music and less of the guitar that follows you everywhere in the Park Ranger series - and I really enjoyed it. However, for Cruise Director 2, they have dragged the guitar out again. I would much rather hear the piano music - much more relaxing and adds to the ambiance. My request to the developer would be that if there is a Cruise Director 3, I'll be on board and set sail with you if you will just ditch that guitar.
I recommend this game!

This is not an in-depth review (see other reviews for that); just want to say that I LOVE this game. It's different, has great atmosphere, and the music is incredible. I'll continue to buy every game in this series. I bought this as a daily deal but will gladly pay full price in future. I'm spoiled and would love to see more like this. Kudos to Mad Head!

I've played this series before and would like to give this game a good review ~ but unless frustration and disappointment are your idea of a fun holiday, avoid this game. I reached a point where I was stuck (potions); there was nothing more to do, no help in the forums (met several others there who were stuck), and the strategy guide was completely useless (when you pay for a strategy guide, you expect it to help; this one is pointless). I asked for a refund and heard nothing back, so I'm out 2 game credits. I've played a zillion games on here and never had this happen. Don't waste your time.
I don't recommend this game.

I bought this game because it was a daily deal, and I wanted something different from all the Doom & Gloom games that seem to have flooded the marketplace (yes, I play some of those, too). I didn't expect much from this game because it was so inexpensive and seemed so simple, but once you start playing it, it really is addicting (in a good way). If you want a colorful, cheerful, simple escape from all the morbid and horror stuff that's flooding the marketplace, then give this a try. Even those of us who play the gloomy stuff need a break now and then, and this is just the ticket.
I recommend this game!

This is not a bad little game. I gave it 4 stars only because it deserved more than the 2 stars in the other review (it's probably a 3 star game, actually, but I wanted to see a more accurate average reflected in the review score). If you've ever played Perfect Pair Solitaire and like that game, then you'll like this one. This one has cheerful, lift-your-spirits music (their version of the Love Boat theme) and cute colored graphics. It's not like some time management games, which cause me to tense up and feel like I'm under pressure. This is a relaxing little distraction, and frankly, sometimes you need to take a break from all the doom-and-gloom games that seem to have saturated the market. So if you get this at the deal price, then you've got a nice little deal. This would be a cute game to have around if you have 'tweens in your house. If you don't expect it to be more than it is, then you'll enjoy it.

Okay But Not Enough to Purchase

I played the demo of this game, after reading some of the stellar reviews. I love fairy tales (as of this writing, there are 2 fairy tale-based TV shows I watch every week), but this one just didn't hit the mark for me. It was not particularly challenging, and I found the cartoon voice of the ever-present fairy to be annoying ~ made it feel more like a kids' game. I really wanted to like this game because I appreciate the fact that someone is offering an alternative to the doom-and-gloom games that seem to dominate the market (which is why I thought it deserved at least 3 stars). However, I just didn't care enough about it to want to pursue it past the demo. I would suggest trying the demo. If you love the demo, you will love the game. For me, it was a pass.
I don't recommend this game.
