As I have played the two previous games a few times I was pleased to see at last the latest chapter in what has been for me a beautifully put together faerie story. In this, the final part of the triology the Witch has not only taken your Mother she has captured your three Faerie Godmothers as well. This time you have a third companion to help you, an owl called guess what "Owl" along with "Dragon" and "Faerie" to get to those awkward places. A couple of magic wands play a part as well.
I found all but one of the puzzles incredibly easy. If you are like me and not too good in following "Simon Says" type patterns where you have to remember the order. Turn off the background music to concentrate. I ended up writing the order down on an envelope to get it. I use skip only if I cannot understand the Strategy Guide which I hardly used. I found it easier to press the hint button which pointed the direction you had to go.
The hidden objects were bright some of them were repeated a few times. So once you knew what something looked like it was the same elsewhere. There were the usual skulls and for those who are scared of snakes don't go near this game it's full of them mostly ornamental. I recognised the evil objects were in previous games too.
By the way the "Cute Roots" referred to in my title are the many mandrake roots one rescues that play a vital part towards the end of the game. I compare them to the ones in J K Rowling's Harry Potter and I must say I prefer these. They don't scream at you but say a very polite thank you and they are so sweet. Their eyebrows remind me of the "OompaLoompahs in Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I bought the Collector's Edition because I like to have the extra chapter. This chapter helps you to clear out the remaining evil parts of the Palace and free the spirits of Bella's grandparents the King and Queen and also the servants that you meet in the first two parts of this great triology.
In the extras there is an intriguing look at the Gogii studios and a snapshot film of the actors playing the various characters. One of them has an amazing ginger moustache. I also like to see the artwork behind it all. There are also some beautiful screensavers.
I am not sure if this will be the final story after all there was a suggestion that Owl and Bella will have many more adventures together in the future. Here's hoping and on that note I say goodbye.
I recommend this game!

I didn't even finish the one hour before I decided at least not at the moment to buy it. The hidden objects are nice and clear. The music bright and cheerful. The fish are chatty and do say different things to the Fishdom fish.
However I was disappointed with the decorations and the seaweeds. Some are exactly the same as in Fishdom. Not even drawn differently. . That is what has put me off buying.
However finding shells to buy special items is a nice touch and if you find three on the level it doubles up to six. There is also gold rushes where you have to find gold objects which I think was in Fishdom Odyssey and scuba diving where you have to find objects very quickly.
I played this game in the timed mode to give me a little bit of a challenge. I may buy this when I get another free credit and need a relaxing game. A nice game however for those who don't already have Fishdom3. As always try it and see.
I don't recommend this game.

What a delight to meet up with Austin again. This time he is visiting his Mum and Dad and the garden is in a shambles. He wants to restore it for them, and bring it back to its' former beauty. As usual we are selling stuff to the locals. However, what makes this game different from the rest is sometimes there is a bit of tidying up to do before they can come in. That is replacing a lightbulb, removing cobwebs, mending walls.
To help you with the sales, there is the usual hints, look out for question marks, cameras which take a snapshot of things to find, and a thermometer which glows hot and cold the nearer or further away you get from the item. Then there are the achievement awards. So many loose coins collected, not using hints, looking at other Playrix games, Lastly but not least look out for old photographs of Austin when he was a child and replace them in an album.
I recommend this game!

For those people who suffer from Coulrophobia (fear of clowns, thanks Hubby for looking this up) look away now, as Louis Gauche the oversized and Mr Dudley the undersized meet up again in a devilish plot to steal children and turn them into fairy tale characters.
Yes, yawn, yawn, I know it's the usual rescue mission here, the detective that you play has to find them and turn them back into the children.
However the fun is going into the various fairytale realms that have been created for each luckless child and finding out exactly what is needed to free the children, and yes you think you've got them when Mr Dudley twirls them away and makes them disappear again.
You have two books this time, one with all the fairy stories in and one as your notebook, plus a teddy bear in the corner who blows up a balloon only to burst it when you need a hint. There were one or two tricky puzzles, however I think I persevered and only skipped one, as I was impatient to see what happened next. The fairy story realms are in the same order as the book, and you do have to free each child in turn to get into the next realm.
I do hope these evil clowns will return at least one more time. They have an odd appeal about them.
I recommend this game!

When you land your damaged balloon on this strange land, you are going to do a lot of walking, but its worthwhile, because as you walk around the islands, you can dig up, collect from trees and charm animals with the help of a pet, of which my favourite is the Eesa because when it charms an animal it miaous like a cat.
To get your balloon off the ground, you are going to have to do many tasks for the people of this land, make clothes for them, find them the food they want, and generally help out. You will receive gifts from them when you befriend them with the things they like.
To collect the items you need a large rucksack, for collecting stuff, my tip is always have a slot free to make the clothes or the food you need. Fortunately when you have collected an item you can have as many of that same item as you like. Thank goodness, its not virtual reality, the weight of it would be horrendous.
Although the goal and the story is always the same to mend and restart your balloon, there is so much more to this. I just love hatching the eggs and getting my new babies. In some ways for those who remember Faunasphere it makes me think of that, I wish this game was interactive with other Fishy Friends. Please oh please Playfirst bring out a sequel. This game is such fun for all the family.
I recommend this game!

Tried this out, and couldn't even do the one hour trial. This game is going to be struck off my list of games to buy. Every time it loaded the next game it was just a black screen with a red wheel turning. At least with American Falls you get a pretty picture. The music is quirky, the cards have amusing pictures on them and patients have silly names. The cards are played just one up or one down in King through to Ace. The cartoons made me think of the 3match Unwell Mel, which is far more funny. The faster you play the more stars you get and also the diagnosis. Each patient gives Dr Mel a gift for his collection where you can replay any of the games.
For a change there is the ""Whack a Mel", when you can obtain extra cards. I think it is one for every five "Mels" you hit, you are given 45 secs to do this in. The faster you play the higher the temperature on the thermometer, when you reach a certain point it will give you an undo or a spare card and other perks, but I couldn't be bothered to find out what. I am not even spending a free game bonus on it.
There is only so many times you can stand Dr Mel jumping up at you. As soon as I've written this Review he's going to be unloaded
I don't recommend this game.

This is a game for when your brain has had enough of tackling puzzles and searching for hidden objects. It's a game to "chillax" to. Yes, I know all you do is match cards of the same value. So it's not exactly mindbending, but that's its' value in today's stressed world. Ace to Ace, two to two and so on, take it as it is, a simple pleasant relaxing cardgame. The backdrops with the moving waterfalls are beautiful and probably the closest I shall get to visiting America.
The bonuses are, that the card backs and music changes at each waterfall; so you don't hear the same tunes all the way through like in so many other similar games. Each waterfall area comprises of six levels. You match up the gold cards to win the level. I think the gold cards will increase as the game goes on. At the moment its two sets to match up of a leaf and a fern. The sixth level is a bonus one, where you match Ace to King in order, and this one is timed. You are given four minutes in which to complete this. There are card helpers, undo and shuffle, just match up the card with it on with another of the same value to get it. and a joker which will match with any other card.
If you want to read the "bon mot" at the end of each game, just wait a moment or two before pressing the continue button. I missed them the first time, when I was doing the free hour given. Each game only takes a couple of moments to load, so you're not looking at the load screen for that long, its no big deal, just make it part of this game. No worries Little Fishies.
I recommend this game!

*Knowledge of Stained Glass Window making, Marquetry, Paper Collage and Applique and doing other crafts not actually needed, The fun is placing the pieces provided in the above mediums into the correct slots. Not as easy as you might think. A slightly misplaced piece and you lose your star for accuracy. The best thing to do is to hold your mouse down and move over where you think it goes. Don't release the mouse button until your're absolutely sure. If it doesnt fit there you can always place it back into storage without losing your star.
There are loads of puzzles in each medium, and two locked areas which you can only open if you can beat a frenzy record of ten or twenty puzzles where you try and complete as many puzzles as possible in the time given
The music is pleasant and relaxing. The sound of placing the pieces of jigsaw is different when using the different materials which is something I like, rather than a click or locking sound which you get on normal jigsaws.
The quality of each puzzle is high, and it does look as if you are actually using the real material.
I think you will receive bronze, silver and gold stars in the long run but I have not played this all the way through.
However, It is a definite buy. I shall use one of my free game credits on it.
I recommend this game!

Thank you Big Fish for your One Day special offer, without it I would have had to wait a week or so before buying this great game. I am loving this game, as a Match-3 Fan this is far the best. I love the way the fishies talk to you.
The game has 8 aquariums to customise, a Fishipedia, loads and loads of decorations, some very cute fish, there are even different backgrounds. The fish sometimes tell you what to buy to make them happy.
I like this better than Frosty Splash, I think this game has all the components of Fishdom One and Two, and more.
The grids are getting gradually harder to do, I have just lost one where the locks were all at the top, the fish commiserated me on it. I shall try again later.
You get help when you you join five or more pieces when you will get a firecracker, a bomb, dynamite or an electric explosion, which takes all the same kind of pieces out, that would have been useful on the level I lost. Thank You Again, Big Fish for all your Great Offers!
I recommend this game!

I read other reviews, but I still decided after the one hour trial to buy this latest MCF game. Instead of rain or snow as your weather buddy this time it's a grey mist, and it makes the whole game ghostly and grainy.
The tale is about a mysterious stone with strange markings on it which seems to kill each resident of Bitterford in turn. You have the guidance of a spiritualist played ably by the female actor. You spend time photographing evidence given to you by the various ghosts which in turn is interpreted by the medium.
The integrated strategy guide only gives you the page you are on. So I had to go and look at the walkthrough, when I wanted to open the safe. The map works well though, and saves a lot of tooing and froing. Though there still is plenty of travelling by your motorbike. The spiritualist gives you her drawings and you have to find these pictures again, sometimes having to move various objects found in the hidden object scenes to get the right picture.
The hardest part and fiddliest was when the photos came back and the spiritualist interprets them into pieces of film in her brain, which you have to put together to get the next part of the story. Manipulating these pieces was incredibly tricky especially as each time there are more to put together. However it is satisfying when they do and the story unfolds a bit more.
The hidden objects were so well hidden I had to use the hint button and even then I couldn't see them. I think this game will grow on you, especially every now and then you get the "Jack in the Box" effect of a spooky face in a mirror, suddenly popping out at you, so those people who suffer from heart problems, don't play this as you can't be sure when the next creepy thing will happen. Love Cam
I recommend this game!
