I won't go into detail on anything since it seems others have covered it all.
I also don't do reviews but had and needed to say this is the best game I have played in years! Think I own every HOPA since 2010. Yes it does have some pep pev's in it that I have but with this game none of them matter. Yes, it's that good!
I recommend this game!
After your student goes missing alongside several other children, it is up to you to solve the mystery of Everlake.

I've enjoyed what I played so far. Search the town and rescue the missing kids.
Has a journal, objectives, good graphics, good voices, beautiful scenes and a good story.
HOS's are interactive with objects easy enough to find. Mini games and puzzles are challenging but fun. There are 55 masks to find which are not morphing which is a nice change. Some running around to do but not a problem.
No map. Hint button a little slow recharging. Green glow sparkles always on the hint button got on my nerves a little. Puzzle info not to helpful. Didn't like I had to change my screen resolution once again for a new game. Just put a stretch screen in the option menu, case solved. I really think the pro's of this game far out weighs the con's.
My review is based on the trial version. Give it a try I think you will agree.
It's a buy for me.

Only played the demo to see if anything was different than the CE version. Finished 20 min.s.

Great graphics, clear, bright, beautiful scenes, good sound, great story. I like that I didn't have to change my screen resolution just click stretch screen in the option menu, nice choice. You also have the option of seeing the achievements you need at the start of the game. HOS's not to challenging but fun with some listed objects and some images of objects. Mini games were enjoyable they didn't have me pulling my hair out. You also have a journal and a task list. Hint button recharges slow but is helpful if you need it. The cut scenes didn't seem to fit the game they should have been done better but it was no problem for me. I'm glad I bought the CE version it ws fun and you get to finish the story.
I recommend this game!

I bought this game a while ago to fill out my card Love the show so I figured the game would be good. Didn't try the demo, my mistake. Let me give you the pro's of the game first. Hos's are clear and bright, have a few scrambled words in them which you can either figure out or find a question mark for them. The question marks also works on your hint button. They also aren't filled to the brim with junk. The story isn't that bad either. Now for the cons. Where do I begin, what a pain in the butt. This whole game is interaction with NO VOICES. You have to read everything even when you're doing puzzles. I love interaction games and I own alot of them that you have to read but it doesn't make the game. This game is all about the dialogue. Don't get me wrong I love reading books but I don't expect my game to be one. I can't believe they took a great show and made a awful game from it. The only reason I finished the game was because I already bought it and I still had to force myself.
I don't recommend this game.
Rescue a young girl from the Penumbra Motel. Solve puzzles, unravel a long standing mystery of death and disappearances in this heart-pounding adventure game!

I love ho games but this was a nice change. Made me want to pull my old Nancy Drew games off the shelf. More of a adventure game. Voices were good and I loved the interaction but I hardly ever use music when I'm playing so no opion on that. The only thing I didn't like was during puzzles if a item was to close to the bottom you had to be very careful not to click yourself out. Glad I bought the CE version to finish the story. Could of had a better ending. You know, ride, walk, do something like into the sunset.
I recommend this game!

Only played the demo, so far so good. Alot of interaction, made you think. Good story, good game, made me want to finish it. The only thing I didn't like was the music. I'll buy it.

Great story, visuals and scenery. Love that you have a choice of playing the hos's or mahjong instead. I didn't mind the hos's, they were clear and you didn't have to spend all your time trying to find the items, I enjoyed them. I also had fun with the mini games. I thought the story was great and I really enjoyed the story that came with finding the coins. It has a journal with notes and objectives and a map which I like to have. I really enjoyed this game. Try the demo, I think you will be hooked wanting more.
I recommend this game!

Way to many hos's and the objects were hard to find. I like more of a story and finding and using different items then spending all my time in hos's. I didn't like that I had to listen to the music to hear the voices. It was also dark which made it hard to find the ghosts. If you're going to buy this game I would hold off on the CE version. For the ones that love alot of hos's this is the game for you.
I don't recommend this game.

Really enjoyed. Some lighter moments. Liked that I didn't have to spend most of my time in the hos's. The puzzles were fun and I had no trouble finding and getting the cats. Great story. The only thing I really didn't like was that it ended way to quick
