I was browsing my games and found this one which did not ring a bell, so played it. Wow, I was so surprised. I truly enjoyed playing this game, I really got into "it". LOL Lots of puzzles and hidden object plus the occasional item you will need later, hidden objects are somewhat different from others, difficult ones at times. Lots of different rooms/areas which you revisit, but not all, unless you forgot to pick up something you need. The mystery evolves as you work through the numerous rooms. I've added to my personal favourite and will play it again down the road. Kudos to the guys who made this one!

Replayed this game which I've owned since it came out. It had been quite a few years now so I did not remember anything. It is pretty challenging without being overly complicated. No maps back then, at least not many games had maps. So lots of going back and forth, but not necessarily a bad thing. A most enjoyable game! I came to see if there were more Dark Heritage games but did not find one, too bad I was hoping there would have been.
This one has a good detective story and as usual graphics and game play are lovely and very interesting.
I usually play a game within 4 or 6 hours. I like to look and explore everything. This one... I played slightly under 2 hours. In my book, not acceptable for a game, even if you are playing the casual mode. I was very disappointed. So great game, just too short.
I am still recommending it, but do take your time and try a harder mode to make it last longer!
Wish I had purchased the CE now I've completed this game

I loved playing the game. It was fun with lots of things to find and do. The storyline was interesting. I found it a bit short as I played it under 3.5 hours and I am a slow player, looking at everything, a visual exploration of sorts, therefore normally would have taken almost double that time. I loved the graphics, the sounds, the voices, the story. Therefore I still recommend this game, but if you can afford to, go with the CE version. If there is no sequel, it means the end sucks as it is now and it must continue in the additional chapter of the CE? I wonder... I may eventually purchase the CE version as I used a coupon to get the SE, so not all is lost :)
Based on demo only. Graphics are colourful and lovely. Story is good, reminded me of different fairy tales bunched up together. HOS are clear crisps colourful images and on the easy side. The puzzles are abundant and very easy, most of them anyway. This game seems to be more for children or for those who enjoy a simple fun, relaxing game once in a while. There are no voice overs and not much animation, therefore some may not like that; I personally do not mind this in a game when it is well made and this one looks like it is. I am recommending this game and will end up purchasing it later.
I purchased and played this game a year ago. I was just looking at the ratings wondering what happened with the low rating and all, that it is now showing. It deserves far better than this rating. I do play a lot of games so I do not remember all the details as what comes with this one :) but I can tell you that once in a while I check to see if there is another one like it! I like games that make you think and this one did it for me. Cateia Games are just great, like Tales from the Dragon Mountain: The Strix, Where Angels Cry, for example, and many more. Try the game to judge by yourself. Especially today as the Daily Deal. That is a lot of time having fun for not much dollars. I definitely recommend this game, at any price. I dislike when a game gets a bad rap with people stating they do not recomment the game while writing "I played only 10 minutes of the demo and the game is dull" Hello?? :)
I really got hooked and like someone said earlier, the hour was over and I checked the time, yup, one full hour. This review is based on demo only. I loved the music and the sounds, all controlled like all games. I could not use the custom cursor, but that's normal for my old computer. There is a brightness option for those who wish to adjust the darkness and it is available in options during game play. The HOS are clear with some cleverly hidden objects. Relevant to the location objects too, which I loved. Puzzles somewhat different from usual. Hints refill fast and skip available in mini games. Your special friend is really helpful with heavy stuff and such. Some inventory objects combined to form something useful. Click on stuff to discover, no sparkles, that I love. I did not have to walk back and forth too much; type of game where curiosity will serve you well to enjoy the game. So far I really like it and just bought it. Kudos to developpers for attention to details and little differences all over this game raising it a notch over comparable ones, for me anyway :) Try it for yourself, as always.
I was not sure after reading some of the reviews, but less than 3 minutes in the game I knew I would definitely purchase this adventure game. Sure, it's not the hardest of games for seasoned adventure players, but it is somewhat challenging, plus I found it interesting. Storyline is there, you sort of "get it" as you progress. All in all no regrets. Puzzles are very easy, hint system works well not revealing too much, just a "hint" really, pushing you in the right direction, or making you scratch your head, and I liked that a lot. All in all, I call this game a nice little gem.
