No crime to solve, no mystery to find, just the same solitaire in a chain style every round with different layouts. I hoped for some variety. It was just boring, not even the upgrades you could get made it more enjoyable.
but unfortunately it becomes repetitive very fast. Cause you only get a few elixirs every round but you need tons of them for your upgrades, it's annoying for me cause you need to play the same rounds again and again to collect elixiers and get better. It's the same with other games of that style e.g. Royal Defenders, Dino Rage Defenders, etc. Too bad they didn't add some twists and varieties.
This game has good graphics and it's fun to play too.
I played the easiest mode, cause I'm not patient enough to wait forever til hints reload and I hate playing hidden object games with time limits or something. Not sure how the other modes are, I didn't try them (yet).
It has a lot of riddles which remind me of the old point and click games - and not only the same hidden scenes like other games have.
I can't really rate the sounds, cause I always turn them off.
Overall the playtime in easiest mode was like 4-5 hours, for more experienced players probably much less, which in my opinion is really short. If you search a nice amusement for an evening, give it a go.
I already loved the first King's Smith and they added some good contents to the 2nd so the gameplay doesn't get too repetitiv.
The only mistake this game has: It is too short! It should have like 100 more levels! So please give us a 3rd!

I loved the first, I loved the 2nd as well. Can't say anything about the music, cause I always turn off game music. The graphics are good tho and the gameplay differs from other time management games where you have to build houses etc. Only thing I don't like, for some levels you have a great amount time left at the end and for some levels I think the time is waaay to short. Even with guide I can't beat all levels in gold time. I thought too the long levels were more fun than the short. Anyways Virtual City is a good game and I can't wait for a third game in this series - I hope there will be one anywhen.
Imo this game is a waste of time. The story is getting nowhere, I thought this is a lovestory? It is just a bunch of quests.
I like that you can work and learn spells and increase your abilities, but it really doesn't get you anywhere.
I didn't like that the whole game played in the same city. All you do is click. For working, for learning spells, for resting in your house, enter/exit buildings etc. Click click click til your hand hurts. No thinking, no riddles, just a few HOGs.
Theres no challenge at all, You don't even have to learn all jobs/courses or posses all items. Fun aspect was the clothes store, but sorry this isn't enough for a good gameplay. Gave it 2 stars cause it was a good start at least but didn't get any further.

It's a thrilling game - at least for me, cause I like the morbid story. The puzzles were okay, and not too hard, just sometimes time consuming. And overall I thought the graphics were beautiful. It was a welcome change from all those 'find items in a pile of junk'-games. I just wonder, how some can play it within 2-3 hours. I didn't use the walkthrough until the end and the skip-button I used just once and I had fun for 6 hours or so. I gave it 4 stars cause I still thought it was too short.
