Let's start with the good:
The graphics are pretty good, though there are some dark corners that can make it tough for me to find objects.
The sound - No idea as I play these games on mute so that I can instead listen to my podcasts and audiobooks.
The gameplay - It's fun! I love being able to choose from different styles - words, silhouttes, scrambled, riddle, etc
Now for the more negative side to this game:
If you select to play with riddles be prepared for some odd choice of words. For instance, they will say "cooking fork" when they want you to find a tuning fork. It will say "acustic guitar" when they want you to find an electric guitar.
Then for objects that seem to difficult for them to describe they won't use a riddle. So for a dove, instead of "bird of peace", they will just say "dove".
It's obvious to me the developers of this game aren't native English speakers and no one on their team who tests/QAs the game or proof reads the object words are native English either. It would go a long way if they can hire someone who can speak English natively in order to ensure the words and phrases being used actually match up with the object. That seems like a fun job so if they want someone, feel free to reach out to me!
I recommend this game!

This is a fun little hidden objects game! For HOG fans who dislike the adventure style or games with too many mini-games, this would be great for you. There is way more HOG scenes than mini-games.
The mini-games that are in this game are extremely easy and there is a skip button.
Graphics are done well and the colors are vibrant.
There are only two issues I have with this game:
1. It was much too easy. I only had to use the hint button to find the areas where I needed to find more items because those areas did not glow the way they should have. (Glitch?)
2. The game is the shortest game I've ever played. I played the free preview hour then paid 9.99 for the full version just to realize that I was already halfway finished before I bought it! It only took me another hour after I purchased it to be done. So I basically spent 9.99 for one hour of gameplay.
There was so many more scenes they could have added to this game to extend it or at least make the objects harder to find.....or do both!
For such a fun, light-hearted game it's a shame that it was too easy and too short. I would still recommend this game for beginners, kids, or people who can find it on sale at a later time. If you have a coupon code for a free or discounted game, use it for this one. It's definitely not worth the 9.99 or even 6.99 (for members) for only 1 hour of gameplay after you play the 1 hour free preview.
I recommend this game!

I only played the one hour preview and while the graphics are great and the storyline is amazing (anything surrounding this historical true tale is great) it proved to be more difficult than it should have been because it was written in UK dialect.
That is okay since I spent much of my childhood in the UK and as an adult I do enjoy listening to some BBC radio online, but I am no expert so some of the listed items were difficult for me, especially the ones pertaining to Cricket (a sporting game they have in the UK and Europe).
This game is predominantly hidden object which is great news for HOG purists like myself.
Of course, because it is about one of the most prolific serial killers in history, it is a little dark but it is not gruesome.
The reason I chose to not buy this game is simply because today I am in the mood for something much lighter in topic and scenery. I do plan to purchase it some other time, though.
I recommend this game!

What an awesome game!! I usually hate hidden object games that are mostly adventure/puzzles but The Scruffs: Return of the Duke is the exception to that rule.
While it is mostly adventure/puzzles it is entertaining and challenging enough to make you forget that you're actually here for a hidden object game.
Don't get me wrong, there are many hidden object scenes but the ratio seems to be 60:40 puzzles/adventure to hidden object.
The only thing I disliked about this game was the length. It was too short! Granted, I did skip many of the mini-puzzles which may have sped up my game playing time but I still would have liked to have played longer in the hidden object parts.
Now I can't wait to play the first game of this series! Yes, I did completely skip the first one in favor of this newest version.
I recommend this game!

This game has a lot of fans and while most people tend to love it, I personally, dislike it. I'm not a fan of the homemade-looking graphics, the preaching throughout the game, and just the style itself. I bought this one instead of the first one because the reviews were better but after playing, I don't think I will buy the first one at all.
I prefer professional looking, funny, light hidden object games like The Scruffs or the Vacation Quest series.
I don't recommend this game.

The storyline reminds me of the book The Devil Wears Prada. A woman new to the fashion world gets her first job catering to a very snobby an detail-oriented boss.
Game play is fun and challenging enough to be fresh. The mini-games are easy enough to not need a walkthrough cheat-sheet.
Visually/Graphically, the game is pleasant to the eyes. Some of the items can be tough to discern because they are super tiny or blends too well into the background but I find that a nice challenge more than a negative aspect.
Length-wise, City Style is perfect. I'm on Stage 18 out of I-have-no-idea. Just so it doesn't to Stage 50 then I'm fine.
Now for what irked me to no end: Every make over (taking a model with no makeup and turning her into a fashion beauty) would make the model start with brown eyes, no makeup, bad hair but then to beautify her you were required to turn her eyes blue.
This is playing on the very old and very horrible stereotype that only people with blue or green eyes are beautiful. Instead of leaving her brown eyes alone or adding a gleam to them they change the color completely to blue.
The first time this happened, I assumed it was just that one model but I've done it twice already with different models and it always starts with brown eyes and ends with blue. This is a blatant message the development team is sending, "brown eyes are ugly while blue eyes are beautiful".
This game would have gotten one star more than I gave if not for this fact.
I recommend this game!

The writers on this game were at their best! The letters are filled with hilarious wit and funny drawings. One of my favorite so far is the drawing of a bandit with the label, "Bandits are scary".
The graphics are very well drawn to the point where it can be challenging to find the objects (that's a plus for serious hidden-object game fans).
The only issue I have with this game are the impossibly difficult mini-games that come with either no instruction or instructions that are in riddles. I had found myself sitting on a mini-game for a longer time than I spent finding the very-well-hidden objects in the main game. Luckily, they offer a Solve button but at the expense of many points.
I'm not one to care too much about the points since I'm only playing against myself but I can see how others may find that nerve-wracking.
Overall the game is very fun and entertaining. It would be perfect if not for the horrible mini-games between chapters.
Note: Those writers should be employed by every hidden-object game. This has to be the funniest game I've played and that says a lot! I love them!!
I recommend this game!
