If you're a kid or a kid at heart that finds Christmas enchanting, this game just might be for you. It has beautiful artwork, lots of HOS, and lovely music from the Nutcracker. It's only 2 hours and not challenging, but if you want a relaxing game to get you in the Christmassy mood, it's great. Get it on sale and you'll get your monies worth.
I recommend this game!

I just finished the game and thoroughly enjoyed it! The dog needing help just drew me in and the story line was very well developed from beginning to end. The graphics were absolutely beautiful and I really took my time appreciating the scenes, almost all of which had some animation, adding to the atmosphere. The cut scenes were very well done, as was the voice acting. There were a surprising number of different areas, some of which were very unusual. The puzzles were quite unique and numerous and I found many rather challenging. The HO scenes were beautifully rendered and had some interactive elements. There were some items that were difficult to find in shadows so I just used the hint. A couple times, I had to click around in the vicinity before the object was registered - a complaint others had but I didn't find overly bothersome. I consulted a walkthrough on one puzzle, being brain-dead and building the item backwards. Which reminds me that there were quite a few things to build from several objects which really added to the dimension of the game and expanded into the Adventure realm (especially seeing as I'm not that fond of HO scenes). After playing leisurely for about 10 hours, the last hour became more difficult because there were fewer inventory items but a lot of areas to figure out where to use them. That's where the hints became invaluable and useful to just "clear" which areas could be dismissed. The map made it easy to hop to different areas and I didn't feel any need for a strategy guide. All in all, I found this to be a first-rate game with a great story, great game play and atmosphere and I highly recommend it. I can't wait for a sequel!

I completed the 1-hour demo and my review is based on that. This is not your typical HO with a scene that you click objects from a list - what a nice change! Instead, you find one or more objects in a room that belongs to a puzzle to solve, which then opens up a door to a new cubby hole or area. The animated video is nicely done, the graphics were hand-drawn and soft-focus variety. The story was a bit quirky and at times amusing. I found the puzzles fairly easy and the game play a bit predictable, so I think this game would be great for those new to the genre, thus the 4-star rating for that audience only.
I recommend this game!

This is an adventure game and a fun departure from the classic hidden object games. The graphics are stunning - the setting varied from indoors to outdoors and evoked the historical period of Romeo & Juliet. The puzzles were unique and of moderate difficulty. The cut scenes had good audio acting; I just wish the video was fully animated. If you're looking for something different and you're sick of junk pile HOS, try this game!

When I saw "Big Kahuna" I thought it would be along the lines of the addictive match 3 game play of Big Kahuna Reef but in a fun word game. Not so much. Maybe it would be good for a child to develop spelling skills but that's about it.
I don't recommend this game.

Interesting, seemingly endless game of sea creature that you evolve by eating other creatures. The evolution is in "your" creature and everything around you, transforming into ever more beautiful and intricate shapes. I played the demo and would have purchased if it hadn't activated my tendonitis. This is one addictive game!

I loved the charming artwork and music and loved playing the game the whole way through. I enjoyed the different game play this had to offer and rose to the challenge of figuring out what you were supposed to do next. I think it makes your brain grow, like learning a new language. There was one puzzle that I had to peek at a walkthrough to solve, so don't worry if you get stuck - there is help out there. I played the game for an hour or so here and there over several weeks so I would conclude that it's a longish game. I think some people thought the first chapter was the end.
MILD SPOILER ALERT ===>> It's not over until you've "built" the entire Tiny Planet with puzzle pieces, and then there's even a bit after that.
For any serious or casual gamer, this is a MUST BUY!
I recommend this game!

This was a bit childish in content and artwork and the puzzles weren't very challenging. I thought it "held your hand" so to speak, throughout the first hour (I didn't purchase after the trial). The music was on a repeating soundtrack so that got a bit annoying after a few minutes. I think this would be a good entry level HOG for an adult or a good game for children, so that's who I would recommend it for.
I recommend this game!
