I agree with all the others concerning this game. Lost Lands has been one of my favorites. However, I was missing a couple of things about the game that all the others had in them. No player's name. I like this as it makes it more personal. And two, after you have gone through the game and have gathered the collectibles and morphing items, that is it. You can't do it again. Or maybe I am missing something on this one. Still it was a very challenging game especially where some of the puzzles are concern. I give it an A++

First off let me say that I am a fan of the Spirits of Mystery games but the last two were a bit , no, quite a bit different. This game was a nice change of pace for once and not so over-worked. And while I did not miss Mortis, or Isa or that darn lens to seek out monsters or poison flowers or whatever, I did miss Nanny. She could use an up-date. The game is short and for the most part the princess does quite well in saving her parents and kingdom as well as getting back the true heir to another kingdom. The puzzles were for the most part fairly easy with just a few that took some thinking. Colors were bright and sound was great. Was a bit low on the level of challenge as was the story line. Felt there should have been another chapter or two or three. I didn't feel like I had to rush from here to there to save the day. It was a pleasant change to just relax and enjoy for once. This would be a great game for those who are new to Big Fish Games and are interested in this series. To get your feet wet, so to speak. I am looking forward to the next Spirits game to see what else can be cooked up by the developers. I won't spoil it by going into details of the whole game. I'll let you discover that for yourself.

I must agree with some of the others as earlier Chimera games were much better. Got through it super fast and the more I played it the worse it got. By the end I knew that this game was a no buy for me and I do like the series. But not this time. Bad guy creating trouble and no one knows it. And he is the one taking the children. While the visual and sound was ok the fun factor was awful as was the storyline. Like one said, where are the Chimeras? And the challenge, wow. I've had better challenges on other Elephant games but not this one. I'll wait for a better game from the Elephant crew.

I am torn about this game. I am a great fan of Spirits but this one was something else. I am not a fan of blood and gore as we have enough of that in real life. But I tried the demo and when I got to the end I was interested in what happened next even though it took me 2 days to finally decide to buy it. Sorry I did. It did not live up to the Spirits standards. Nice of Nanny to make a brief show in the game and it was nice that the amulet changed, but still there, and took a bit to figure out you look for the "numbers in order, thought they were just different shapes, to get it right. But there is where it ended. The graphics were great as was the sound. Storyline went South on this one, way South, instead of staying the course. Fun factor was between a 2 or 3. Sort of left me a bit cold. Challenge was fair to ok, sort of. Isa was missing although I was glad not to see his former girlfriend in it. And why does everything seem to happen on their birthdays? I agree with some of the others that the last few games of this series has gone to the dark side and I am not talking Star Wars either. I think if you have a game that works, don't fix it. Change it some but not to the point that it leaves you shaking your head at what the developers were trying to do. And as for the amulet, that was getting to be old hat. Do something else. I can't recommend or not recommend this game as I think that, like some have said, you need to try the demo and decide for yourself. Would I buy another Spirits? Depends. Good luck deciding for yourself.

Wow. A bit of a nail biter in some of the scenes. The Fairy Tale Detective is on the case after receiving a summons from the Duke of Anaben. Peoples shadows are coming up missing leaving them in a shell of their former self. You get there to witness first hand the taking of a shadow and feel your shadow wanting to follow. Thank goodness you are able to stop it from following the other one into a mystical lamp.
As the story progresses you are wondering if you will be able to get to the bottom of who is taking the shadows, why they are taking them and what they are going to do with them. The demo had me hooked but after making my purchase I had a bit of a time getting back to it as it had left you at a scary moment when the Shadow God was reborn.
There are so many twist and turns to this fast pace game it is hard at times to keep up. The visuals were good and bright, not like some where you have to turn up the brightness on your computer to see them.
Sound was great and a bit spooky at times. You had help from a number of people and fairy tale folk along the way to finally being able to defeat the Shadow God, free the 3 Godesses and restore the town to normal.
As to the challenge, that was another story. There were some puzzles that were extremely difficult at least for me and those were the ones that you had to put the correct cover to the gem and you only had one changer square that would only change the ones around it. I am sure other would have no problem with these but I found them daunting. As to the rest of the puzzles, hops and such, they were fairly ok except when it came to looking for the mini-mini piece in the hop ones. You have to have a microscope to find them. Thank goodness for the hint button.
The storyline was a bit confusing as I have never heard of a fairy tale by the name of The Forgotten Shadow. Will have to do research on that one. But it still made for a good game. It was fun and scary all in one. I just have a bit of a complaint about it and that it did not flow as smoothly as the other Dark Parable games. Seemed to get stuck going from one scene to another. Too much lag time. Still I enjoyed the game and look forward to the next one, although this game did not end with the usual to be continued. I really hope that this is not the last game as there are still other fairy tales to help and explore. Please keep them coming.

Normally I would give the game in this series a 5 but this game I feel fell a bit short of that number. Fun factor was good for the most part. Going back and forth between two scenes or even three was not my idea of fun especially when you kept having to hit the pillar each time to get where you were going. And a few of the games such as the blocks where you figure out how many lines go where was a terror. (I don't do well with those. Never have.) The sound was just right and gave you a sense of what was to come. The visuals were outstanding as the different hues were rich and vibrant. Just wish the people in the game were more realistic and not so cartoony. I feel that to have them that way brings more of a depth to the game. Challenge was good except when it came to finding the acorns and other items needed to open the parables. Have trouble seeing them especially in a dark scene. Story line was weak as the story did not follow the story of The Swan Princess. I don't feel that it even came close to it. But all in all even with the little burbles this game has it is still a good game to play. Not sure what the clue was as to where the detective is to go next. But wherever it is I am sure it will be a great game.
Played the demo and was hooked. I have played it three times so far. This is one of those games that you want to keep around and play over and over again. It is fun, except for when her father is killed. Action every step of the way from sneaking pass the guards to finding her uncle and the adventure Alice goes on. Sound is perfect and the visuals so bright and colorful. It is just challenging enough to keep you wanting to keep playing until the end. The storyline flows and is not choppy like some others are. Like the hints that you might have missed something and I like that in a game. Love the map as it makes it easier to get from place to place without the guards seeing you. There are a few others that have this feature and I think it is great. Was sorry to see it end as I would like to know what Alice and her uncle did after they got to the Forbidden City (looks like New York) and it looks as if the darkness isn't quite through with trying to take over. Keep them coming Devs. Games like this are a joy to play. Now if you will excuse me, I've got a game to play.

While the fun factor was ok and the visual/sound plus level of challenge was good, the storyline lack any cohesion or sticking together. You jumped from this place to that place and back and really didn't have any idea what it was all about other than you received this castle from your uncle. What was the purpose of it all was the real question. As for me, if it had been me to receive the castle, I would have sold the drafty thing as soon as I could. And the game is anything but free. For those gamers who have a great job or those who are well off financially, and don't care how the money is spent, then this is the game for them. But for those of us who live paycheck to paycheck or are on a fixed income, this is not a game for us and that is a shame as I feel it could be a great game otherwise. Either as a CE or regular edition game. I did make two very small purchases but they were gone before you knew it. And waiting for at least a half an hour to be able to go to that hidden scene again was ridiculous. Game starts out fine but then when they get you hooked, then is when the real plan comes out. I would not recommend this or any other game like it for those with little cash. Too bad BF. Could have had an awesome game.
A nice take on the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale. Music was a bit annoying. Thank heaven you can turn the sound off. Colors are bright and scenes are well made. Smooth flowing from one area to another. Fairly easy on the puzzles but when it came to the HOs, there is where we had a bit of a problem. In looking for the pieces of the items, you always had at least one that was off screen. Had to go off full screen to get the piece and then back to full screen. A bit on the frustrating side. DEVs need to keep all parts within the screen area, Journal is helpful as is the map. Characters are interesting but vanish quickly before you can talk to them again. Still it is a nice game to wile away a rainy afternoon. Will use a free game coupon to purchase it.
As darkness falls, strange dreams from the past haunt Dianne. Help her uncover the hidden secret that lies within her dreams and unravel a love story that’s lost within time.
When I first saw this game, it look to be interesting but the more I played it, the less I liked it. Visuals were ok but the music was annoying. There was some challenges but a little bit too much as you went from room to room and back trying to figure out what you were suppose to do next. And if you wanted a hint outside of the HOGs, you were out of luck. As to the storyline, same thing as others. A pair of lovers meeting and the guy was stabbed and killed. One nice thing about the game was where it was set. Cairo. Always a place of mystery and intrigue. But that was not enough for me to buy this game. Like I said, leave it lost.
