This is a good game with a lot to offer for not being a collector's edition. I played quite awhile on the simplest setting even though I am more experienced than that. If you have a free game coupon, go for it.
I will replay on a tougher setting buy I highly recommend this. I would really like to see the CE if it has morphing objects or collectors items to find. The regular game is pretty straight forward and I missed the challenge of those little extras.
The story is sort of on the line of the usual Hidden Objects but has some flair usually missing. I really appreciate the extra effort.
The art is great. The music is unobtrusive. I will target more of this company's games when I am using earned chips etc.
Thanks!
I recommend this game!

My title is a bit overblown. There weren't any morphing objects or collectibles like a CE has. But this game gives you so much for a standard game. It just kept opening levels!
I got this with a free game coupon because it was rated quite highly. It is a great reward. I need to investigate the Love Chronicles series if it is anywhere near as inventive and delightful as this one.
The mini games could be solved before my patience expired. Yet they weren't so simple that it was boring. It wasn't a terribly new story line but it did keep my interest. And I found quite a bit to challenge me.
Games with a map are the best and I hope all HO games are now being designed with that in mind. Thank you for this game.
I recommend this game!

I just Beta tested the next chapter of this game (which I adored) and came back to get the standard version of the predecessor. I played it awhile earlier this week. Then I lost 2 hours to it tonight.
As an intermediate player, I am not easily fooled and recently got fed up with the silliness of another game I'd gotten with Game Chips. It was a title I'd had before and enjoyed.
This one not only kept me interested because it is different from the usual - somewhat - I just upgraded to Collector's Edition using the Easter Weekend 2/1 sale. One of my other Beta Test games has already come to fruition so I got both.
Maybe I'm a sucker for a young female hero, maybe it's something about the flow of the game. But you should at least demo this one if you like this type of thing.
I recommend this game!

I have played many games on this site since Game House got weird years ago. I am a faithful Hidden Object fan.
This is a terrible game in so many ways. When I am sent a beta game to review, I save the download so I know to buy the game when it is released. What was I thinking? The beta must have been interesting but this is horrible.
I could play very few of the mini games. They are so obscure and so hard to understand. I just skipped most of them if not all.
It is a very slow game but that's ok since I use these to focus and relax before bed. This is so confused it doesn't help anything.
It's not mentally stimulating. It's not relaxing. It's just water torture.
I wasted a discounted half price purchase on this. Do not. Save yourself.

Here's another good game in standard form (if that's the opposite of Collector's Edition).
This one lasted a long time. I also didn't quite understand all of it; seemed a little complex. This is a compliment. I've gotten to where story lines and game plots are too simple now that I've played these awhile. This one kept me focused and having to ask for help.
Just playing it again will prove if it's just my lack of skill or if this is a really well written, complex Hidden Object Game. What a refreshing change that would be!
I actually like the music on this one. Usually the music drives me nuts. This one has sort of a (not that it is him) John Williams homage to it. Especially in the Hall of Councils. Not derivative, just a feel of Williams.
Perhaps the best thing was being able to adjust the lighting in Gamma portion of Options. I was finally able to see some things. Artwork is beautifully rendered and deserves a second play, just as some television and movies deserve a second watch just for sets and cinematography.
I'm impressed. When I can afford a collector's edition of this, I'd like to play it to see if there are additional HOS and see what extras are given. I have no use for screen savers, wallpaper, etc. But you get a lot for a one credit game!

I read the reviews before I bought it. I love Elephant Games.
Disappointed.
For a collector's edition, this was too easy. It was too much like so many other games. Based on reviews about how this was the best game of the year (do they work for ... surely not.) I expected this to be as good as the Grim Facade game I just did.
There are very commendable parts as you can tell from my capsule review above. But it finished way too quickly. It relies too much on the cut scenes - way too much. After all the hype, I was disappointed.
I won't spoil it by saying too much, but I wonder if the standard form game is enough since the supposed expanded collector's edition was disappointing.
If you buy it on sale you may enjoy it more. At full price for members, I'd pass.
I don't recommend this game.

This game in its standard form gives a lot more than many. It takes quite awhile to work through the 3 levels. While there's quite a bit of doubling back or jumping from one level to another, that's what increases the interest more than most standard form games.
There were several innovations which I appreciated. Won't spoil them but a couple of the hidden object scenarios took me a minute to figure what was wanted.
I thought they made good use of the Leonardo Da Vinci history and the story was not as insulting as many.
Excellent voice cast and I didn't see them listed in the credits for the game I played. Probably only in the CE. Rats!
Good value like this makes me want more ERS games, which I already love for their PuppetShow franchise. (Please note the last PuppetShow was a disappointing departure. Hope that's one, not a trend.)
Great use of your monthly game credit.
I recommend this game!

I have this on my tablet and for some reason I go back to it when I need to relax. I love golf so that has a lot to do with it.
It's nothing great and the cut scenes with the gopher are better skipped unless you're 6 yrs old.
But my controlled OCD side loves the solitaire aspects and finds a zen relaxation type thing about trying to get 3 stars on all the games.
I play it on silent so I don't have to listen to the cartoon sound FX. There's really not much to commend it to the average gamer but if you're hooked, you're hooked.
It's like the bubble or marble popper games. When the world is crazy, they make sense.
I recommend this game!

I learned on this game years ago. I still love parts of it even better than some of the more complex games with moving animation and live actors.
There's no blood or gore in this one. It's about a school but it's not those awful role play games I detest. You help rebuild the school. It's very static, except for bubbles that move. The villains are not scary and fish puns abound!!
If you have a senior family member in early stages of memory problems, this could be a great exercise. Harmless plot line will not confuse them with imagined threats if they're sundowning later in the day. Remembering which card you turned over or following a dot to dot sequence is very good for brain stimulation. Pretty colors and large graphics a plus.
I recommend this game!

This is nowhere near the complexity nor the artwork of the earlier Puppet Show series. I do not know who is running ERS now, but this is a mockery of their earlier work. It used to take me days to complete one of the Puppet Show games, just because the art was so distracting. I would sit and admire the flowers around the subtitles, etc.
The game had only one new aspect and that was the use of VERBAL clues to locate hidden objects. Other than that, it barely qualifies as a Hidden Object Game.
It's as though they rushed this to publish it. Few puppets, none as intricate as in past games. Just cheap artwork.
Please bring back whoever you let go that made these games so wonderful. I will try the trial version next time so I am not so disappointed. I suggest you do the same.
I don't recommend this game.
