(***Based on Demo only***)
I've played a lot of time management games over the years but never got a chance to check out the Build-a-lot series. This is the first time I've played one and was pleasantly surprised with the quality. You help out different up-and-coming neighborhoods by building houses and city amenities while keeping an eye on your available workers, materials, time, and budget.
Pros:
* Some city amenities play a role later on. For example, construction of a post office allows you as the player to receive mail in subsequent levels, which often come with cash rewards.
* The storyline, though simple, is nice. It's easy to get invested in these different neighborhoods and watch them build up.
Cons:
* Some levels tack on extra goals for you to complete when the timer for expert status is almost up. Some might like the extra surprise challenges, but I found it annoying.
* There are some restrictions for level completion. For instance, none of your buildings can be broken down, meaning you could be hustling to finish everything in time.
* Unlike other builders, I thought that some levels asked too much in terms of building ratings, rent income, and final amount of cash for the time given.
So-so's:
* The graphics were good for the time and hold up OK. For the most part, they look crisp.
* The sound quality is a little fuzzy but the tunes are pretty nice.
* The game has just 35 levels. I completed 14 or 15 in the demo, so I'm not sure how many more hours of gameplay to expect with the rest of the game.
I did very much enjoy this demo, even though some levels had me almost pulling my hair at times. The hour flew on by and I'll definitely consider purchasing this game and checking out the later installments. If TM games interest you, it's not too late to give this one a shot!
I recommend this game!

This is one of those TM games that I remember seeing available on Big Fish, but didn't play until very recently. Now, I'm pretty happy that I have this in my collection.
You play as Claire, a flight attendant who is helping an airline climb to the top by providing passengers the best service. You go from serving economy class to first class and beyond.
The game starts out easy enough. You begin by providing simple amenities to your passengers, like food and drinks. Not only do you acquire more as you progress, but passengers will become more demanding. It gets hectic and fast-paced, but the game gives you ways to keep up with the crowds. The better you serve them, the more points you earn that can be spent on upgrades, which will make your passengers more patient and your services speedier and more efficient.
First Class Flurry has a fun and unique layout, and I feel like the people making this game did everything they possibly could. This was a really welcomed challenge after playing these sorts of games for years.
I recommend this game!

Even though I played a lot of TM games growing up, I somehow never played the Turbo games. Now, I feel like I should have.
In this game, you follow Rebecca and Robert as they start their own business, opening two pizza restaurants in some pretty fun locations. You play as Rebecca, handing customers menus and completing their orders. Along the way, you can upgrade your restaurants. Some will help speed up your equipment and increase profits; others are decorative.
This game is fun and fairly challenging. It stands out from other TM games with its fast-paced levels and circular behind-the-counter layout. What's more, this is one of the very rare cases where I immediately wanted to play the sequel after finishing...and after finishing the sequel, I immediately wanted to go back and replay this one! There's something addicting about this series that is sure to get you the second time around, if not the first time.
I recommend this game!

I don't often play hidden object/adventure games, but I made an exception this time around and I'm really glad that I did. I don't really know where to begin, so I'll just list some of the good and the less-good features of the game:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Good:
• The graphics -- Absolutely beautiful. Very clear and colorful with some great designs.
• The soundtrack -- Overall great, but there were some songs that were so pretty that I would stop playing for a moment just to listen to them. :D
• The setting -- There is quite a bit to explore, with new locations constantly being unlocked.
• The puzzles -- Very well-designed. I found some of them to be rather easy, though.
• The hidden objects -- I think it's neat that instead of simply searching for a list of items, you have to find different pieces of an item to put together. The objects themselves aren't too difficult to find -- you can clearly see them on the screen, as opposed to some other games where the objects just kind of blend into the background and are nearly impossible to find.
• The story -- A great spin on the classic story of Sleeping Beauty.
• The Collector's Edition content -- It's pretty cool. There's an extra chapter of gameplay along with wallpapers, strategy guide, music library, and more.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Less-Good:
• Game length -- I didn't think the game was too long. I completed it in about 4 hours or so. Then again, I did use some hints.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall, while the game isn't too long, it's extremely well-designed and has an interesting story. I think I'll be replaying it soon, and maybe it's time for me to check out more of these types of games.
I recommend this game!

As far as ND games go, this is definitely one of the weaker ones. There isn't much of a "mystery", which is kind of the point of these games. The characters are really forgettable, the graphics have declined since the last game, and the reality TV activities aren't particularly fun. If you must skip one ND game, skip this one.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm not a big fan of hidden object games, but the Dream Day games have proved otherwise. Dream Day Wedding made me like these kinds of games more, and Dream Day Honeymoon did just the same. It's very similar in style to the original but with a tropical, Hawaiian twist. There are some easy objects to find and some difficult, but it was never TOO difficult to find them. I liked that you could unlock more hints in case you were stuck; in the previous game you only had 3 hints, but here you can have up to four or five. I also liked the locations; there was a good variety in DD Wedding, and even moreso in DD Honeymoon. And did I mention the music? The music really captured the setting and made me feel like I was in sunny Hawaii. Overall I find this to be a worthy sequel, and while there were a few changes (which I find to be improvements, like with getting extra hints), it never felt different from the feel of the first. If you like DD Wedding, I would definitely recommend this one.
I recommend this game!

This is a very fun gardening game. It's a little different from other Dash games because instead of having to earn a certain amount of money by the end of the level, you have to complete all of the orders before time runs out.
There are plenty of plants to grow and look after, and some require additional steps to grow than others. I liked this variety of plants.
There are two different difficulties of gameplay, adding up to a total of 100 levels for you to play.
There is a fun story to go along with the game. I really liked playing as Barb, and I think the story made her a fun character. There is also some nice, upbeat music and beautiful graphics.
Overall, this is one of my favorite Dash games, and I think it is worth the purchase.
I recommend this game!

This is one of the greatest farming games you will ever play. The graphics and sound are top notch, the story is well-developed, and the atmosphere really makes you feel like you are in a tropical farm. There is plenty of challenge to be found and plenty of fun to be had. I love this game.

I was hoping to find a unique TM or strategy game, and I found Farm Tribe. I like this game because it starts off with a somewhat interesting story. In the game you start a farm in a tropical patch of land, and you grow and harvest crops (along with other kinds of products, too) to sell and make money. You can also cook food using the ingredients you have to make even more money.
I find this game unique; you look after your employees' needs to make sure they are well fed, healthy, and happy. There are many upgrades and decorations you can get so you can more easily fulfill their needs.
In addition to growing crops, you can later on look after animals, which I thought was a very nice touch. There are different kinds of plants you can grow and look after, as well.
The controls and navigations for this game work very well. It's easy to move employees around and get them to work on something. It's also easy to cook and sell food, as well as purchase things in the shop. The graphics also look very nice for a 256MB game - I was really surprised by how well this game looks!
One thing I truly love about this game is how there is always something for you to do - earn technology points, grow crops, cook food, satisfy your employees, and there are even tasks and goals for you to complete. Even if you don't have goals, it's a good time to make sure the farm is clean and to manage your storage.
Overall, I wasn't expecting to find a game so different, but I'm glad I did because I enjoy playing this game. It's a treat to have fun games like this.
I recommend this game!

A very fun and unique strategy game. You set out into the world to make money by creating and selling different kinds of chocolate candy. Once you earn enough money, you can unlock new factories to make chocolates, buy more ingredients, and acquire shops. You also have the ability to move up in different ranks (novice, chocolatier, etc.), learn new recipes, and unlock new cities in the world to explore.
This is one of the greatest games I have ever played, and I would highly recommend it.
