I highly recommend this game. I played at the easiest setting with music off. It has terrific graphics, engaging puzzles, and about as much adventure as HO scenes. Easy to play (I like that - some would not) but not so easy as to be boring. The game is VERY long - all in all an exceptional bargain. The only downside is that there is an additional chapter if you buy the Collector's Edition, but at twice the price I can't say if that's a good deal or not.
This is one of those games that was created from the "Collector's Edition" afterwards. To be honest, I tried the trial version of the CE and did not think it a good bargain at $14 member's price; but, at $7 for the SE, it's a bargain. Graphics and gameplay are excellent - AND the game is very long. An exceptional deal. As usual, I play on "easy" mode with music off. Storyline was really good, puzzles are engaging but not too difficult. There is a map you can view which will show you the places you need to go to next, and hints are plenty. Overall, a really enjoyable and reasonable deal!
Very good game with very challenging puzzles - and I always play on casual level. Terrific graphics and believable environment with very good HO scenes. Help system is very good and any annoying puzzles ( I suck at those sliding tiles ones) can be skipped. Had some minor issues with crashes but they weren't unrecoverable. I never listen to the music so take that into account. I give it 4 stars because of the slight technical issues. Highly recommended.
I know this is not a new game but I just finished it. It is an awesome game. If you like adventure/hidden object games, you will love this game. Graphics are excellent (2D) and present a terrific atmosphere. I never listen to music so I can't comment on that. There is a terrific back story told by the "journal" in-game, the game map has excellent little clues about where to go next and what to do. Puzzles are definitely challenging and engaging and the "task list" gives you subtle hints about how to achieve each task. The game is quite long and just very, very enjoyable. A ten-bell-er. Highly recommended.
