I don't know what version I had on my 6-year-old laptop, but I never beat that game. I beat this version the first time playing, though I had played for several years before buying here. Mindless and relaxing with no mad clicking. The miner's claw swings back and forth and you will click once when the claw is pointed at the treasure you want to reel up. There is about 10 seconds wait time while the miner reels up bigger gold nuggets from the bottom of the screen, which are obviously worth more money, and smaller objects are reeled up quickly. Each level is timed (60 seconds# and you must reel up a certain amount of gold or gems in that time to get to the next level. The levels are random so you cannot predict how much gold will be on any level or exactly which power-up #dynamite, more time, faster reeling, etc.) to buy between each level. Grab bags on some levels could change your standard claw to a super claw or spike claw, and there are various obstacles on most levels which are either just in the way or could make you lose some time. This game will not appeal to anyone who likes a whole lot of action, but appeals to some children and will definitely improve their hand-eye coordination. There is normal, hard and expert modes. This is one of my go-to games when I need to relax both physically and mentally after a particularly trying day.
I recommend this game!

There are about 470 levels. There is no timer, so take your time to place your shot. Though even if you lose all your lives, you just say "yes" to continue your current game and you get a new batch of lives and continue where you left off. More bugs appear, as do more power-ups as you progress. Watch those moths, but once you figure out what they're doing, you can outwit them.Buy new power-ups with your bananas, #Disco Ball, Zuma Frog & Bug Zapper were my favorite of the dozen or so power-ups# or try and win some on a slot machine. Outstanding game that appeals to adults and children alike.

Buy ingredients to make & sell potions in your store. Buy low, sell high. Selling price is determined by the daily “curse forecast”. You can hire various “goons” to advertise for you or sabotage the competition. Customers have a variety of compliments, or complaints you’ll want do something about. Besides marketing, you’ll spend money on researching new potions, upgrading your store, spy devices, potion makers, in-store entertainment, warehouse and spells. Various contractors sporadically show up for hire…some good, some shady. Occasionally someone will show up with a problem they ask you to fix…and that’s still not everything.
FGT is full of fairy tale characters (Red Riding Hood, Cinderella), with a modern twist, though I wouldn’t say it’s a children’s game. It might be a little too complicated for anyone under 12, but you know your child better than I do and there’s certainly nothing here I wouldn’t let a child see. Don’t skip the storyline because you’ll be missing quite a few laughs. Each of the 9 “Kingdom” goals gets progressively harder. You won’t use the same strategy in all Kingdoms and new options appear as you progress. “Only 9 Kingdoms” you ask? Yes, but it will likely take you a couple of hours in each Kingdom to reach your goal. No mad clicking. You can take your time and consider your best course of action (which I wasn’t doing or I wouldn’t have had to repeat one Kingdom 4 times). I’ve never had so much fun losing! Levels aren’t so hard you’ll need a forum to find the answer but challenging enough to keep you engaged (I think I went to the Loan Shark on every level). And you can speed up the game play after you’re over the novelty of watching all the goons and peasants do their thing.
LOL funny, and when I wasn’t laughing out loud I still had a smile on my face for much of the game. I enjoyed FGT so much I even Googled the developers to see what else they had. OUTSTANDING job Mock Science Inc. You ROCK!
I recommend this game!

In my top 10. Enough variety and challenge for days of entertainment. You'll start off with a couple of ingredients and end up with 60, haggling for the best buy/selling price...travelling the world to purchase ingredients while making and selling chocolates and coffee along the way. You'll deliver chocolates to different locations, acquiring stores and building a chocolate empire, all while climbing the corporate ladder. You can even do a little gambling in Havana and Las Vegas. Equip your factories to make different product. You can replay the challenges to have any factory make more of a product. And now that you really know what you're doing, you can challenge yourself to make even more $ next time you play. WELL worth the money.

Lots of different mini-games within the game which are not too hard, though there were a couple I couldn't finish...but you have the option to skip over the mini games and still get the upgrade. I'm not a fanatical hidden object games fan, but you're searching for specific objects in a specific shop (that you need to build first) to complete a task. You also have the option to quit the hidden object portion once you've found exactly what you need. Farther along in the game you build a market and trade what you've collected for other things you need. I also found absolutely nothing to complain about. Easy to learn with lots of variety within the game. It takes the better portion of a whole day to complete...and you can play over and over again. Money well-spent. Totally 5 star game!
I recommend this game!

36 different maps, then each map has 3 difficulty levels. Hardest level is VERY challenging. I'll be playing this one for years to collect all the trophies. WELL worth the money. I'm even dreaming about grabbing land.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist, but you will have to think just a little. Lots to do...hunting, fishing, gathering, cooking, gardening, arrow making, trading... Different skills and different tasks appear at different levels of the game. Never boring and hours and hours of entertainment. Well worth the money.

If you're into mindless games you can learn in 5 minutes, this game is not for you. You won't completely learn the game in your free 1 hour trial. There is even strategy in decorating your restaurants. As the game progresses, even more components are added. Many, many different aspects to this game and games within the game. Steep learning curve, but weeks and months of entertainment here. One of the best I've ever played.
I recommend this game!
