Looking at all the 5* reviews I thought that I would give the demo a go, but I was sorely disappointed. Another paint by numbers game, with all the usual items that you have to collect to use. I was barely 10 minutes in before I had to get rid of smoke - and then (utter dismay) find a safety pin to use on a broken zip. Nothing new in this game and zero difficulty.
I have always loved this game, from the very first when I was very much a beginner player and found it such a challenge. But isn't that why we play these games - it certainly is for me - and this was no exception. The storyline was brilliant, carrying on from the previous episode, although Susan's son Jimmy is very whiney (slightly annoying). The cut scenes were even better than previous games. This developer is above and beyond all others, the music, the game flow, puzzles (quite challenging) and the HO segments. I will play this again and again (as I have all the others). Excellent game.
I beta tested this game a few months ago and I was blown away.I loved all the previous games in this series, but this was even better. The cut scenes are fantastic with fabulous graphics. Alice is still battling the darkness, but has to deal with new enemies in this episode - a part of an ongoing storyline. This is a game that I will play again and again. the puzzles are numerous and some quite hard. what I love most is the flow of the story along with the items that you need, you don't have to keep finding something sharp in each new scene, you carry a sharp object (knife, sharp glass etc) until it is no longer needed within the game....makes sense! I highly recommend this game and cant wait for the next in the series.
