Dear Eighth Floor, I know you do your best but even though the design concept is a good one, basically it's just the same old boring solitaire game format that you have used before. Can't recommend this one!

The trial, at 30 minutes, was too short which makes it difficult to give a proper review. However, whether I could have stood more of the atrocious voice-acting is unlikely. There has not been a worse Cockney/London accent since a certain chimney sweep in a well-known screen musical; even the demon kept lapsing into Mockney!!!! Please, game developers, pay attention to the voices, and the spelling.
I liked "Zombie Solitaire"; I could have liked this one I but there were too many stylistic and musical themes carried over from Zombie to this one and they just did not fit the theme of the game. I also found the instructions a bit vague. Sorry , Roka, but as far as I am concerned it's back to the drawing board on this one.
I only played the trial in advanced mode so cannot speak for other modes or for the full game. I found the visual style quite irritating and did not match up to the preview. I found the pace of the game to be uneven with a tendency towards slow and the storyline was weak in my opinion. I was surprised at the speed with which the first major objective was reached which indicated to me a possible quick game overall. Not one of Domini's best I'm afraid

Visually and technically there was nothing wrong with this game but the story line was weak and I thought the ending contrived (yes, I know it is only a game). There could have been so much more done with the story e.g. Alice could have played a much bigger role. Afficionados will love this but the earlier games in the series had, imho, much stronger story lines.

This is probably the best game that I have purchased in a while. It had more corpses than Midsomer Murders but overall a good plot, not too far-fetched, and excellent graphics and sound. The puzzles were testing but not too difficult. I recommend it.
