Utterly relaxing, can't wait for the second installment!
For those of you having trouble downloading games - uninstall the download manager, reboot your computer, re-install the dl manager, reboot and you're ready to go.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed part 1, and bought 2 and 3 as soon as they came out. The characters are - of course - fairly one-dimensional, the story becomes dafter with each installation. The sudden end of each installation is annoying.
Looking at just how the levels play - no challenge there, so it's a nice game to play for 30 minutes or so. Nothing to get your teeth into, nothing to get excited about. It's not good enough to stick with for hours on end. An average game that plays without glitches.
I recommend this game!

Take on the role of Emyr, probably the realm’s most famous hero. That is, until his career was destroyed by a dreadful wound. Now, Emyr works in the tavern.

As most reviewers already said, this is in the style of the Delicious series. It's not really a difficult game, just right - in my opinion - for a rainy afternoon.
I just wish the developers could make up their minds - is this an adult game, or isn't it? Some of the text (jokes about dungeons, guys decked out in leather, "not even a proper girl" who stole make-up) is rather borderline, and while I hope the jokes go right over her head, my niece won't get to play this. She's only 11.
On the other hand, most of the jokes are juvenile and just had me rolling my eyes. The game doesn't need that kind of sub-plot, and it bored me.
My pet peeve though - stick with one mythology please! Vikings, ogres, a Voodoo witch and some walking dead... dwarfs (and the joke about not being able to tell one sex from the other because both have beards is surely lifted from Terry Pratchett?), and elves... too much!
Still, gameplay runs smoothly, the loading time between levels is okay on my laptop, and there are worse games out there.
Still recommend you give it a try.
I recommend this game!

... but not something to write home about.
You get the usual silly storyline about the misunderstood girl (Julie) who wants a different life from the one she has. Add a stupid sister and an underhanded teacher plus two prospective boyfriends and there's your story right there.
Okay, so we're not playing these for the story writing (you're better off reading a book if you want decent writing).
The game isn't very demanding, it's quite easy to get three stars in every level. Some of the dishes require two or three clicks but as the customers are not unduly impatient, this can be managed quite well. You earn money in every level but can't do anything with it - and the hearts you earn for special chores only enable you to buy decorative items. For whatever reason, you have to catch a cat in every level. No idea why they added that, it seems quite superfluous. (But then again, so is Carl the Mouse in some other franchise...)
So. Ignore the story and just play - it passes a few hours, and as it's not a demanding game you can relax and take your mind off RL. Sometimes, that's all one wants, and this game fits the bill.
I recommend it, especially for newbies or kids.

I thought the idea was cute so bought the game without using the demo. Silly me! This has no right to call itself a collector's edition with just 60 levels and zero extras! I finished it in under four hours.
Apart from that, the storyline is ridiculous, with evil stepmother, funny frog and loving employees. Of course there's a moral to the story - and they hit you over the head with it, just to be sure you don't miss it. Other than that, the story goes from Ella being the princess (complete with glass slipper) to Ella being the hard-nosed business woman. Unfortunately, neither comes across as believable.... The art is cartoonish and fairly ugly. They certainly didn't manage to make Hotel "Ever After" a fairy-tale place.
The game itself is average, just like the last few Delicious Emily games. You get to deal with the lobby of the hotel, the bar and the office. What bugged me the most was the over-use of the smartphone. Ella spends most of her day on the phone, chatting and posting pictures. Ugh! She's supposed to be running a hotel here!
You don't get to do anything interesting - just end up cleaning cocktail-glasses, answering the phone, feeding stepmother's cat, handing out keys and cups of tea or coffee etc.. All in all, a below average challenge. I managed to get three stars on every level and found the mouse, plus diamond for completing "special tasks" such as letting the porter get enough rest.
I finished the game because I finish every game I buy (on principle, LOL). But I can't say I really enjoyed it, and towards the end it became a bit of a chore.
I strongly suggest you play the demo before you buy - but I don't recommend this game.

Thought this would be cute - and it is. But: it takes forever to get into the game, they insist on teaching you the basics step by painful step. If you are an experienced player, this is rather tedious. Also, the handling of the game is cumbersome with having to click on a field to reap the wheat, then clicking again to sow seeds. You have to feed the chickens by giving food to each chick separately, and collect the eggs one by one.
For me, this all took too long and I had no fun at all playing this. So, cuteness factor aside, I erased it again before the trial period was up. Might be okay for beginners, but as a strategy (or time management) game, this feels like it was designed ten years ago.
I don't recommend this game.

I don't recommend this game.

I recommend this game!

I don't recommend this game.

The game plays okay. Nothing to write home about, but okay. (No more than okay, either!)
The story though!! Why do I have to end up explaining to my 10 year old niece what a safe word is, and what it means when Francois is donating sperm?! Why do I have to explain why and how a minor character ends up with no less than five babies at once, and while the mother is Caucasian, two of those babies are Afro-American?! Also, why do you need moisturizer (???) to lubricate when said character is giving birth, and why are an odd number of guys just standing there not helping or calling an ambulance?
Why do the characters swap partners at the drop of a hat, and why do we end up seeing them kissing and with rather suggestive movements?
Don't get me started on the "story" where people end up dying and coming back from the dead with a decent hair-dye (yeah, so funny that - if you're that juvenile). Why a cop can rob people and shoot at them and still stay out of prison.
Seriously, the story completely ruined the game for me. It's not funny, not even as a satire or a "joke" on soap operas. It's just plain idiotic. And Sally's "friend" April is mean and disgustingly evil. Add a talking plant and a brainless computer and you have a recipe for disaster.
The developers spent money and time on this crappy story - and not enough time on developing a good game. Annoying mini-games, tiny items that are difficult to click on... oh, and did I mention this really annoying story?
I did play it all the way to the end (after all, I spent money on this game), but cannot recommend for kids under the age of 16 because of content. This should come with an age warning, folks!
Another CE that is a rip-off. No extra levels, nothing!
I don't recommend this game.
