The negatives: If you hate finding keys for locks, this is not the game for you. The key finding was endless!! Also, don't make me look for a tool that is basically the same as the one I just used and disappeared from inventory. I found the graphics a bit dark and fuzzy in places as well, but the animations were good.
On the plus side, lots of originality here. Story was interesting, many unique mini-games (the timed game was a fun challenge), and a lot of the usual tropes were not present (bee smoker, etc) but they filled in all those missing things with - you guessed it - another search for a key.

This game is definitely not for everyone, as other reviewers have made clear. I happen to love these types of games that have little to no instruction and you have to figure it out. It reminds me of other games other reviewers have noted, but also the Leaves games, which I adored. Very sweet story and the game is a great way to express the story from the brother's point of view in a childlike way. Atmospheric and beautiful graphics in the cut scenes. Only downside for me was the short length and the lack of features I would expect to be present in a CE - really should have been an SE like Tiny Bang and Leaves. Keep making these, they're a nice refreshing change from the standard and familiar.

I found the graphics overly dark, the story ridiculous, and worst of all, boring. few real challenges, excruciatingly slow pace, and it just felt about 5-10 years behind. The voices synced well with the mouths though, but that's about all I have good to say. Far better games out there. Bonus chapter was super short and ended abruptly, and the extras were pretty much non-existent, so definitely not a good CE purchase.

I can honestly say this is one of the worst games I`ve played in a long time. I was worried when I recognized the beginning, and remembered playing the demo and hating it. But, a few strong reviews urging to give it a chance past demo stage, so I was willing to give it the benefit of a doubt. Big mistake. The English, both in the text, labels, and dialog, was unforgivable, so much so that there were times you could not figure out what an object was. The map has no use, magically new things appear in a scene you've been to multiple times before and there was nothing, and the actual gameplay was SO SO SLOW. How long does it take to put a key in a lock and turn it? The storyline and logic gaps were indefensible, and several tasks seemed to serve only to extend the gameplay by making you hike back and forth between locations, rather than having any logic at all. Glad I wasted a coupon for this.

I never comment, and don't think I've ever submitted a review in many years on this site. I doubt this game will be for everyone, but I absolutely loved it! Beautiful graphics, challenging, a real breath of fresh air. Not having help will turn some off, but trust me, stick with it. It's worth puzzling it out. There have been a (very) few games over the last year that have stepped into newer territory and offer something better and different than the usual "find the key, oil the rusted lock, magically discover a lock pick" stuff, and I for one want MORE of them! Please, encourage and support these newer, innovative developers and put the fun and challenge back in casual games. Well done!
