This game is just like the others in its genre...cut wood, pick berries, fix buildings, meet goals, rebuild a kingdom. I was hoping for something new and different in a time management game, but this one is not it. Other than the goals and game play being the same as many, many others - the characters, berry trees, piles of wood, etc are SOOOO small that it's annoying!! Also, the berry trees run out of berries after a few picks and do not regrow. Another thing, you have to click just exactly so on a building to fix it or to assign a worker. This picky clicking wastes time and beating the time is hard as it is.
I recommend if you're not bored already with this same old theme.

The game is ok if there's nothing else to do. It's just like the original Fairway (2nd fairway was awful# or Fairie solitaire games.
The game is very short and very simple. I breezed through it meeting every challenge long before the level #10 hands) is up. The whole game was over too fast. I don't like games I buy that are so short, I feel ripped off.

I love building games and all of the Build-A-Lot games are great - I play them over and over. I was hoping this one was good too. It's just ok. You have to meet goals and try to get the goal accomplished in a certain amount of days to get a gold star. The challenge is ok because sometimes you have to play boards over just to get the gold.
However, the music is awful. The graphics are small and not clear. The men move too slow. The lady main character is not visually appealing. You have to pick up trash a lot just to get around to start building.
The worst 2 parts for me are: Having to shoot bears I think is disgusting and wrong. You can choose to scare them away, but it takes 3 times as long and you don't have time for that. But to shoot them - horrible.
Also, having to literally click every property to collect the rent is beyond annoying. It's just a click fest and takes away time to complete the goals. Why can't the rent automatically add on like in build-a-lot. I don't like clicky games, annoying.

After playing the first Scruffs game and loving it, I couldn't wait to buy this one. Right away I did't like it. It's not like the first one at all. Find simple hidden objects and then solve simple puzzles to beat the chapters - with NO rhyme or reason for finding and solving these extra puzzles by the way. Just go find random pieces of this and that and put them together and you win. AWFUL, JUST AWFUL. I wish I played the demo first instead of jumping right in and buying. I do NOT recomend this game if you expect anything like the original Scruffs.

After being bored to death with all of the HOG games that seem to be the only new games lately, I was happy to give this one a try. I was pleasantly surprised!! This game is different from Dash games and very similar to Sally games, but with a somewhat morbid twist. The characters are cute and while the game isn't overly challenging, it's just fun and addicting!
The puppet show is not necessary and a waste of time, but I just skip through that. The down-sides: the game is very short and that is disappointing since I bought the game. I would love a part 2, but longer and worth the money. Also, the graphics are not crisp and clear (maybe it's supposed to be that way since they're zombies?) and sometimes the bubble over their head is blocked by other zombie's bubbles so it wastes a fraction of a second to see what the next task is in the process.

I like the idea of this game - it's similar to build-a-lot, which I love - but the ending is so abrupt that it seems like they just ended the story because it was the last level - no flow to the story ending. Also, many levels are so short that it doesn't even seem like it should be considered a level. The entire game is short and could easily be finished in a day.
Also, the levels do not change, so replay isn't worth it. If you don't get expert on a level, just retry it and nothing at all changes, so reaching expert of every level isn't a challenge. Bummer
This seems like a great idea and I hope for a second one, just longer, better replayability and more worth the money.
"Fixing" up the train twice isn't anything special either. Fix the train, then it's done and then you start all over again by fixing it up all over again. There's not even choices to make the train your own, just click on any part of the train and it changes without any of your own choice. No fun there at all.
I might recommend this, but have to pick yes or no. There's no maybe.
I really enjoy the BuildA-Lot games and was thrilled to get this one. BUT It really has nothing new that was worth the wait for. It's like all the rest and the title is misleading, I was expecting vacation settings, different color paints, vacation-type activities, homes, etc. It was the same as all the rest and nothing really vactionish IMO. The others are MUCH better - except the power one...

I just love these games - all three are the best. I like this version better than the other 2 because it's newer and more going on. I have played these games over and over - they never get boring!
WHERE IS THE NEXT ONE???????? THE WAIT TO WAY TOO LONG!
I loved the first 2 games and couldn't wait for a third - so when this came out I bought it right away. I found the storyline to be a bore, the game was dark and hard to maneuver around and putting the randomly found pieces together to make tools, etc didn't seem to jive or make sense. I played it through very quickly as the length is short and wish I didn't buy it at all.
If you're looking for the third game to be like the first two then I'm afraid you might be disappointed to. This is along the same lines as the many other dark and dreary HOG games, not in synch with the 1st 2 games at all.
I wouldn't recommend, I'd suggest other games before this one. Bummer
I just love this game. I've replayed it a million times and I always go back to it. It's very different from other card games because you're putting various rooms in your house together using the cards. It's fun because the three other computer characters you play against can really frustrate you!!
I WANT A PICKET FENCES PART 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND MANY OTHER CARD GAMES LIKE THIS ONE.
