I have been playing games since 2007 and this is by far one of the best visual, story and play I have experienced...Brilliant game....map is exact, characters very real, story great...the visuals are magical....can't say enough....Love it....
This is the longest, most tedious game I have played in quite some time! Only finished it because I don't quit even when it is unbearable. The pages are slow to change and the hunt is mindless and endless. Story is dragged out and deflated at the end. That's one persons opinion but I have been playing for years. It takes a really bad game to bore me to death, this was one of the few!
I have been playing HOG for 7 years...Is it just me or are they pathetic these days! The graphics are good, hidden scenes good...story, out there but not surprising....starting the run around mid way through but still worthy of play...Then when the objective is finally accomplished....IT ENDS! NO RESOLUTION, NO TIME TO EVEN GASP...JUST OVER! UNBELIEVABLE...DID THEY THINK I WOULD WANT TO DO A FOLLOW UP GAME! Also...Big Fish used to be a family game company...now everything is Demons and witchcraft...I'm just about done here.
So I listened to the people that said don't believe the bad reviews, or not as bad as negative reviews....A game is only as good or bad as one's own personal experience, but I am sorry I wasted my money! I loved the first one. Cons...hidden objects can be barely visible or just a tiny shadow of the object...there is a BRIGHT flashing hint button that is blinding and quite distracting! The characters move their mouths but don't speak...there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the journey...there are these cat smiles everywhere that give details of the original story...interesting at first but then very annoying...each section is slow to switch to the next...OK...pros...cute puzzles...That's it...I will probably not finish this game after just an hour of play...live and learn.
You've returned from school to visit your father at his famous Jazz Pepper Club during Mardi Gras, but everyone is hypnotized. Have they heard the wrong note?
I have not found a game worthy of review in a long time. This is an excellent game. The graphics are perfect. The characters are life like, the music is awesome. The story fictitious but well told, satisfying ending. There are a few slow places but all in all the tools you need are well organized and usually in the same space. The map is extremely helpful....I would play it again at some future time! Well Done!
Big Adventure games have always been my Fave! I would buy one immediately without the trial, until the last one that came out before this. The items are so small even if you don't need glasses you can't see them! So I did this trial first ever for me and I barely stayed with it. I deleted it early! The artwork, the locations were what this game was great for. Now you can't see the locations or details at all. I have to click on outlines that look like what they're supposed to be. So disappointing...I will NEVER buy one of these games again! Why mess with PERFECTION....
After inheriting an old antique shop, Emily discovers an odd diary that seems to contain a number of clues as to the book's origin. As she delves deeper into the mystery, what she uncovers will change her forever.
I tried the hour and the Bad reviews are correct...This game has no redeeming qualities and I have been playing hog for years! The light does not enhance anything. The magnified area is miniscule. You may accidently hit an object and not even know what it was! The hint disappears before you know what it highlighted. I am saying to be sure you do the trial and then you can decide. I would never purchase this game!

This is a HO when they were not so simple....some said it was boring, I was never bored. I got stuck and have not finished because I was near the end and didn't want to run out of time....that is the biggest frustration with these earlier games! No consideration for NOT wanting to start the entire game over....and limited skip buttons. Some games I have left for a yr or more while stuck and I always go back and finish them....Probably not a game for the newer HO players, games are easier now and more relaxing.
I don't recommend this game.

You can not get graphics more realistic or more colorful than these...really pleasant to view. A lot of H/O scenes but everyone different not going back to the same old ones over & over...I liked them,...this game is way too short for most H/O lovers but cute for the Holidays! One major point to note::::::When you get to the columns/amulets, the notes are incorrect! Follow your common sense or you will spend wasted time trying to figure out what you are doing wrong. I finally used the hint to sort it out. Symbols are wrong....all around cute, would recommend on SALE!
I have been playing hidden object games for years...I bought this based on the reviews and the sale....it was disjointed, and I could not stay with it. Had to keep coming back just to make myself finish it. I never leave a game undone even when I don't like it. Seems that most reviews are positive but for me I regret buying it but it was on sale...would not play it again.
