I have ALWAYS loved the Alice in Wonderland story - or "stories", as they've become. From the original Lewis Carroll tales to the "sort-of sequel" recently made by Tim Burton, I love all things Alice. But this game should be banned from ever being allowed to use the Alice name. This company #who have also recently released Les Miserables# loves to piggy-back off of classic, big-named stories & has been doing this for awhile. And each time they seem to wreck the story with their very low-budget, so-easy-its-almost-patronizing gameplay & level of challenge. There are sparkles & arrows directing you to every little tiny detail so that there is no chance you might have a brain or idea of your own - & you can't get rid of them. The graphics have improved on their games overall, but are still very subpar. The HO scenes are beyond frustrating - & always have been. Past games include 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Bonnie & Clyde, & many other disasters. When I downloaded this game, I had no idea it was this company & once I found out, I love Alice so much that I STILL gave it a shot. But like all the others, it was terrible. Don't make the same mistake I did.
I don't recommend this game.

I loved this game - it's so different from all the typical doomsday, heavy games out now with all the H/O scenes & talking, etc. Here, you find little things here and there to help you get into the next room, uncovering the next part of the hotel, etc. It's annoying at first, having to feed the characters & let them rest, but soon you find things (bag of chips, etc.) that they can use so that nothing slows down. My niece & nephew love this game, but I do, too - & the best part is how different & original it is. I'm kind of tired of the same old thing sometimes!
I recommend this game!

What a disappointment!! I LOVE the first 3 games in this series, but within the first 2 minutes of this edition, I was sitting here wondering who the heck made THIS one?? Within the first intro to the story, there are about 5-6 very easy & very obvious typos - "exiting" instead of "exciting", "resquing" instead of "rescuing", & "beatiful"?? This is 4th grade material! And the game - UGH. It's like the creators sat around saying, "How can we take an amazing game & make it super annoying?" Having to run 2-3 times to get ONE pile of resources EVERY time is insanity at its finest; but having to get through obstacles with multiple attempts - spending the resources each time - makes this game just plain BAD. I love my TMs #& want more!!!# & LOVED this series, but I'm acting like this 4th lame attempt just doesn't exist - I'll keep my memories of the first 3 being great & leave it at that.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm sorry - I love these kind of TMs, and I loved the first one in this series - but THIS one had me yelling at my screen around the level 30s! Everytime I tried to advance or do anything, those stupid roots popped up all over the place! I HATE that junk! I had to start over countless times b/c I would get to a farm or something, only have a little bit food but I'd think, "hey, I'm about to build a farm, so I'll go ahead and use it to clear this rock" (or whatever). But no, as soon as I use the rest of my food, a root pops up and blocks the farm so now I'm out of food and can't take out the root but yet can't get to my farm so I can build it and get more food. UGH!!!! I HATE when games do this and that ruined it for me. I don't want to be all mad and irritated while I'm seeking these games for relaxation! Game developers, PLEASE keep it down with the amount of unpredictability in one level! I don't even mind stuff hidden in caves or objects suddenly needing to be built 3 times instead of 1 - just STOP with the 10 million things popping up out of nowhere and needing ALL my resources - it makes it IMPOSSIBLE to just play the levels through OR ever have the hope of getting 3 stars!
I don't recommend this game.

Lessen learned for me - I'm going to play my games BEFORE I read all the reviews. While the graphics were great & the story was interesting, I was expecting something magical the way that some reviewers were describing this game. I read "the best game I ever played" & "I played this repeatedly" amongst these reviews. But I have to ask why? There are some nice, new elements that I like - new mini-games ...which don't always mean "better"... the "customize" option at the start, etc. But besides that, what is so great about this? It's a well-made but otherwise typical game. I'm actually disappointed enough I felt like giving it 3 stars, but realize that it's just my let-down hopes talking. My advice is to play this without letting the reviews taint your opinion - I wish I had!
