It sounded so promising in it's presentation, but lacked considerable appeal once in game. The graphics are OK, but the rendered activity scenes are strictly old school (read: at least 5-10 years out of date). I found the click and drag interface with the mini-games frustrating and very hard to understand what, exactly, needed to be done in any specific scene - and the 'hint' option was no help at all. Sad to say I am sorely disappointed with this one, and do not recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.

Based on the trial period only.
The premise of the game sounded very good and the sample visuals were enough to certainly garner attention. While I certainly found the visual quality of the game (in scenes) excellent, the text and dialogue and dubbing of the videos bothered me immensely and I experienced a considerable lag between the videos and being brought back into the active scene.
If you can overlook those prospective problems then you very well may enjoy this game.

While I've seen the Steam Punk theme used in a good number of games, none have got it down quite so well as this one. The graphics are fantastic as well as the voice acting. The HO aspects of the game are (at least for the trial I played) fairly easy though not overly simplistic The story-line as well, is engaging and very different from the norm.
I recommend this game!

Okay, granted this i s a free game and usually I don't tend to favor them because you have to 'buy in' for the good stuff (I do enough of that on Facebook as it is). But this one...wow! In the first 15 minutes of play I was hooked. The graphics are great and it's nice to see the options for decor shift between what you see in the day versus what you see at night. Granted it does offer you the option to pay for gold to acquire different decorative elements, you aren't obligated to do so. You can connect with other players on Facebook (in that it is very much like other HO games on Facebook). The hidden object scenes are detailed and not overly easy. Having the option to zoom in or out of scenes to find smaller objects is a nice plus too. I guess I'm just a fool for a good HOG with a nice spooky twist.

While I have to admit I was a bit less than impressed at the sometimes mono-syllabic dialogue, I do have to give that the game play and story line was nice and original. A new and clever take on the tale of Beauty and the Beast. The graphics were otherwise stunning. It managed to combine both hidden picture with puzzles nicely for a good engaging play. I just wish there had been more to the trial then the 28 minutes of game play it afforded. I would certainly snap this one up as a Daily Deal price or with an earned credit. I would very much like to see how the story progressed.

While I normally love a good TM game, and the Monument Builders series always has a bit of fun history incorporated into the game play, I couldn't get past the music that was annoying and the sub par voice acting at the introduction. It's fun for a time waster TM game but I cannot, in good conscience recommend it as an engaging time-management game. A good play for history buffs though...if you overlook the music and voice acting.
This was one of those games that looked to have good potential but failed to realize it in actual game play. I didn't even manage to get through the full time of the trial before I gave up. There are really no solid indicators to your task and the 'dialogue' with characters seemed to be stuck in the 1800's mindset. If you're looking for a challenge, I highly suggest you look elsewhere.
A new breed of virus has spread throughout the City of Oxford. You must search the city for a missing girl who holds the key to stopping the global epidemic!
I played through the CE trial of this game and I have to say I was hooked! This game provides a fantastic challenge to even the most savvy HOG gamers. Take a little of Silent Hill (you know, just for the 'creepy' factor) and add in a touch of the 'carnival of nihgtmares' and you'll have a good feel for this one. Has a good feel like Escape from Ravenhearst, Dire Grove and other like games with the little touch of unease that stays with you even after you've shut the game down. Really a fantastic trip!
As darkness falls, strange dreams from the past haunt Dianne. Help her uncover the hidden secret that lies within her dreams and unravel a love story that’s lost within time.
I played less than half of the 60 minute trial and even in that short time this game managed to give me a headache. The goals of each location are unclear (at best) and give the player no real guidance as to what the goal of any particular scene is. While the game play graphics (minus the story boarding) is, I will grant, magnificent, it doesn't make up for the quality of actual game play. I'm sorry to say that I can't wait to UN-install this game.
