This is an adventure game and it is LONG, I'm very happy to say!! The graphics are beautiful. It's really well-written, and feels like a story. It has some hidden object scenes throughout. There are creative puzzles - thankfully not the annoying 'find 12 pieces of 1 item by running back and forth' or the 'connect the lines from one side to the other' type puzzles.
I will NOT ruin the game by telling specifics and I won't drone on.
I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed it a lot more AFTER the demo, lol, that never happens to me.

This is based on the demo: I like hidden object games, but this one was a little too easy and redundant - you have to find the same "bonus" items each time. It may change after you accumulate all the (I believe it's 100) items, but that was too much time for me to wait. I didn't care for the bouncy, 80's-sounding music, so that may have hastened my exit. I don't see the point of turning the audio off - why bother playing at all ? I like pure Hidden Object games. I don't like the find-the-12-pieces-that-make-up-one-item mini games that are added way too often to HOG's these days. Thankfully, there aren't any of those.
This one left me wanting more.
I don't recommend this game.

I thought this looked cute, so I thought I'd try it. As I said, I've only gotten to the beginning of Level 2, when a giant pop-up window completely covered the game. I was forced to come leave a review. I only got to complete ONE TASK, so this is my review based solely upon that. I feel like I'm being held hostage. It won't matter though. After BFG announced the forums will be closing on April 30th, a lot of very angry players now think the entire site may be closing on April 30th - so there may not be a lot of people left to read this.
I'm a huge Amazing Adventures fan - I have 2 of those. I would like to buy the rest of those, but BFG no longer carries them. I also like the Vacation Quest and similar games - again, they no longer carry them. I wish they'd let us buy those again - maybe have a special day once/twice a year - they all cost the same ! I like the original HOGs - not the FROGs (i.e. - find a hammer that's been split into 12 pieces - no thanks). I played the demo, bought it, and finished it the next day. I was shocked when, after EIGHT very quick/short chapters, I arrived at a pretty screen that simply said "THE END". WHAAATTT ??? It's WAY too short !!! I decided to check the other two sections - the "unlimited" section, and also the "mini game" section. Yeah.....NO. The "unlimited" section is your chance, you get ONE chance, to go through all the scenes and find all their items ONCE. The "mini game" sections are just repeating the very simple 'puzzles' where you put together the items at the end of each of the 8 chapters. If you're a HOG purist, you'll like the demo. Don't bother buying it.
Every inch of this game has some sort of mini-game or strange door lock, or a key you need to find....somewhere, etc. Then you have to turn the key for them, when you do find it - ugh ! If you spend 5 minutes trying to find the pieces for 1 item in 1 room, that's not challenging - just monotonous and boring.
I want a HIDDEN OBJECT GAME, not a FROG. If BFG continues to offer these FROGS, they need to give them their own category. If you like FROGS (A LOT of them), you might like this. Otherwise, keep looking.
