The developers of this Hercules series of games do such a good job of creating games that are challenging yet attainable. I am a very good TM game player, and I have been frustrated lately by previously excellent games that now make it impossible to get the highest score on all levels. (I'm looking at you, Incredible Dracula) Once I realize that a level gold is unattainable, it ruins the whole game for me (I'm OCD like that.)
I also dislike TM games that force you to collect resources and build etc in a predetermined order to make gold. A good TM game should have enough variables that the player has a variety of courses with which to make gold.
This is where the Hercules series shines. First of all, gold (3 stars) is obtainable on all levels - and not necessarily in the order described in the guide. I rarely look at the guide until after I make gold, and usually, I find that I did so in a completely different way!
Second, gold is challenging, but not terrible so. Usually, it takes me 5-6 tries. Sometimes I get it right in the first round, and sometimes it takes dozens of tries - usually because I get stuck in doing things one way and can't think outside the box - lol!
Third - Hurcules includes the "Developers Score" - which adds to the challenge! After I finished this game with all gold, I went back and replayed the levels that I had not beaten the developer's score until I did so. This was super hard on some levels - one took me 2 days to master - but extended the life of this game for at least a week!
Fourth - I LOVE the ability to click ahead - it's one of the things that makes this series so much more fun!
I wish all TM road clearing games would take a cue from the Hercules Dynasty!
I recommend this game!

In a rare move, I purchased this game without even trying it first. That's how starved I was for a new time management game. With around 150 games in my Big Fish library, I have exhausted all my road building options! I really enjoyed the first 12 levels. Weather Lord is not my favorite game series, but it is very good and I enjoy the way the series has improved. From what I can tell so far, this version introduces power-ups for the soldiers to help them fight more efficiently.
I noticed that someone complained that it was difficult to get gold on the early levels - which is true. I had to play some of the first levels several times to time them exactly. However, things got easier and there was more leeway by level 6. For me it is difficult enough to be challenging, but not difficult enough to require multiple attempts.
However, it all came to a screeching halt at the end of level 13. No matter how I play, it ends up freezing at the end of the level. I've submitted a Dr. Felix report and am awaiting a fix, but for now I am stuck replaying old games and hoping Big Fish will bring us a new TM game soon. I've seen this same level 13 crash complaint several times in the forum, so just wanted to give others out there a head's up. I would recommend this game, but only after an update.
I recommend this game!

At long last Big Fish has taken a break from their insistence that we all play HOGs to grace us with a new TM game! If you like the previous Hercules, you will like this one as well. I only played for 15 minutes or so before deciding to buy, but the only real difference I've seen so far is that this time Hercule's wife is in charge and she activates the plants instead of lifting heavy objects. Also, she just stands around while waiting for a job instead of resting in a hammock like Hurcules did. You can queue jobs (as usual) and unlike any other TM road clearing game, you can even queue a job that you do not have the resources for and the workers will get to it when they eventually do have the resources.
Thank you BF for finally giving me a game worthy of spending my credits!
I recommend this game!

I'm in the process of going back through my games (all 125+) and reviewing them. For reference, while I enjoy the occasional match 3 or hog, my preference is time management - particularly the clear the road and build kind.
I just finished getting gold on all 43 levels plus bonus levels. It took me several days, and the game got progressively harder (meaning some levels took many attempts for gold) This is my favorite level of challenge! My favorite part of this particular game is that you earned tokens from each level depending on your star (bronze=5, silver=10, gold=15) with which you could buy helps in subsequent levels. But be careful, because if you have to replay a level, the helps you bought before are used up and must be repurchased. Almost all of the levels could be completed in gold time without using helps, but there were a few tricky levels that I couldn't get through without them - so use your helps wisely!
I would say that this game required a bit more strategy than usual - and in the latter stages each level required several attempts just to figure out that strategy... never mind the need for speed!
Things I didn't like about this game:
Some of the sounds were super annoying (market guy) but kind of needed to alert you in the last few levels.
Walking mummy that zapped your workers for a few seconds. I hated this guy because there was really no way to avoid him and ... well, I just hated him! Fortunately he wasn't present continually or on all levels.
Storyline was boring, imho, and you could not click through the opening scenes without skipping them altogether.
Graphics were acceptable, but not notewothy.
I rate this game a solid 4 stars... 5 stars for level of challenge and fun, 3 stars for graphics/sound and storyline.
I recommend this game!

After a week of playing this game for several hours each day, I have finally finished it. The game took so long because I repeated each level until I got gold... and was able to make gold on every level. I love that, because I have played games where gold was simply impossible on some levels and that is always frustrating. This is a fun game... so fun that I will probably go back to it in a few weeks and play it again. I wish there were more like this!
I recommend this game!

I have over 100 Big Fish games and Life Quest definitely ranks in my top ten! I have played it all the way through at least a dozen times... each time trying to beat my previous record (so far 59 "days"!) The graphics are excellent and the music isn't annoying. Game play is simple to figure out, but there is a lot of room to develop. As you play, you figure out which career path is best and the best timing on education and fitness classes. (Tip: speed through the first 3 or 4 challenges so that you can open up the fitness classes and start taking them as soon as possible. Completing fitness classes adds to the length of your day allowing you to accomplish more each day. ) The only cons is that there is no score board to compare different users/profiles.
While I also really like "My life Story", "My Life Story -Adventures" and "Path to Success", Life Quest is the only one I keep coming back to. Would LOVE to see a Life Quest II
I recommend this game!
