I recently played Laruaville 12 and enjoyed it so decided to go back and play some of earlier ones. But this one has a serious glitch on level 36 - the gold squares have to have a match made over them to play on, but there is nothing to match. Very strange. Complete waste of time and money since I can't proceed past this level. Not impressed.
I love games with either real historical figures or references to works of literature, so grabbed the demo of this game right away. This is a very enjoyable, relaxing game built around the author Washington Irving and the haunting characters he created. Excellent graphics, enjoyable HOGS with a variety of aspects (fragmented objects, silhouettes etc.) to keep it interesting. You get a raven to help you this time, so there aren't collectible ravens. Instead, you instead collect coins and four leaf clovers. All told, this is a pleasant game within a standard format - nothing new here, but it's an enjoyable way to pass a few cold winter evenings. I'm enjoying the demo and will probably purchase this game.
Visit the charming land of Floria where all the colour has been stolen away by evil. Each section of the game features a match 3 (charming items to match like leaves, coins, raspberries, pumpkins, buttons etc) set in a different place in Floria (the castle, the village, the harbour and so on). Three assistants show up to help you, and they have different helping features like power-ups, and you get to choose the one you like best. I usually chose Stumpy because he was so cute - a living tree. There are about 10 individual games per section and you also get to play solitaire and HO in each section. Really loved this game! If you're looking for a gentle, charming game with a fairy-tale feel to it, you should check it out. I played it untimed as a stress reliever at night and it was just what I needed.
This game was lots of fun, I enjoyed it very much. I'd never played a mah jong game before but decided to try this one and found it both fun and relaxing. The visuals and sound effects were colourful and relaxing, and the butterfly motif is nicely done.
I enjoyed this game, playing it a bit each night for a week as I didn't have time to play it all in one sitting. The story line of cars with souls and helpful ghosts giving talismans was different, and that made it quite fun. The settings are in a rundown city filled with cars, junk and even a couple of trains. The HOS are full of all kinds of stuff but I like that kind of scene. The mini games are fairly simply and for some of them, you get a clue from your notebook, so do pay attention to what's in the notebook. The game does not have a map, which is something I like to see, but it was not difficult to get from place to place and the game was laid out quite logically. Liked this one quite a bit, do recommend it.
wonderful charming game! Loved every second of it! It has a great story, wonderful graphics, plus the map feature, and a really delightful bonus story. Five Stars!
This game is typical of many; you're searching for a missing person, it's dark and raining (why is it always raining in these games?) and have to dig around in a cellar, a crypt, etc etc. It's moderately enjoyable if you are looking for a traditional HOG for stress relief. There is one annoying thing about it; between scenes the screen blacks out for several seconds. It kind of distracts from the game play.
I found this game to be a lot of fun. It's more straightforward than some games, in a way, and the storyline of people shipwrecked on an island where the plants (a sort of human/plant hybrid) have taken over was kind of campy and fun. I found some of the puzzles a bit annoying and skipped them, and as I'm a HOG fan really would have liked more HOS. But it was fun to play with appealing graphics and I managed to while away quite a few hours on this one.
This is one of the best games I've played in a while. The storyline is fun and a bit creepy, the setting is excellent, the graphics are beautiful, and the sound and music superb and not overly-intrusive. The puzzles are excellent, not too hard or frustrating, just right! Watch for the marionette puzzle, it's a lot of fun. You collect owls throughout the game which I enjoy as I love owls. In short, an excellent game, well worth the time and money.
