This game was like Alice in Wonderland on Steroids. A lot of nonsense with constant back and forth movements. Click here, get an item here go back there...got really old and I was glad the game was over.
Voice overs were absolutely awful. Sounded like they just brought people in to read a script who had no clue how to do it. Just awful. Lots of cut scenes, puzzles and HOS.
One thing for sure, a lot of very weird creativity and imagination went into this. Sort of lost track of the storyline since there was so many characters and things going on. Some inconsistencies which didn't make sense too.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm really glad I got this one on sale. Nice, fun easy going game, however even played on timed mode there was no challenge to it...just "pirate fun". Very generous timer, hardly knew it was there. You gathered gold to build and expand your "harbor". Great music, animations and color.
Definitely wait for a sale. Game length was OK, but there was no challenge. Probably a good game for younger kids.

Despite the rather sudden ending, I really enjoyed this game. Fairly long for a SE as well as the gameplay was smooth and well thought out.
Animations, color and graphics were very good. Voice overs were good except it sounded like the same girl did all the voice-overs which was a bit confusing at times.
Was not really sure why the witch had such a thing for the town and the watchmaker...some of the story got lost I think in the gameplay. HOS were interesting and fun to do. A lot of puzzles which thanks to the custom settings I was able to set the skip to refresh very quickly so I could skip most of them. Not a puzzle player, and they seemed a bit odd besides.
I did find the need to feed the cat a bit annoying...actually, the cat wasn't necessary to the story at all. Not sure why they put him in it.
I got this on a BOGO, I think but would not have been disappointed if I had paid full price. Transporter map was excellent, one of the best I've used so I hardly ever had to use the hint. I never use walk-throughs so I'm not sure if it has one.

Not the longest match 3 game I've played but it was refreshingly different and fun. Started out really easy and I thought its a good thing I got this 1/2 off, but like most match 3s it did get a bit more challenging and you did have to use some strategy as far as utilizing your power-ups.
Easy to win money to buy your power-ups and a different twist on playing the match 3 process. HOS strung out throughout and quite a bit of dialog which you can skip my just clicking. Lots of gun-play so if your sensitive to that you may not like it...I thought it was a refreshing kick in the pants for an enjoyable, easy going match 3.
No timer, but you do have to do it in a VERY generous amount of moves.
I recommend this game!

I downloaded this game without demo because the ratings were so high. Good thing it was discounted because I would really be upset if I had paid full price.
If there was a map, I sure couldn't find it and if what I think was suppose to be a map, it was totally useless. The scenes were very dark and the HOS were not clear and items small. The puzzles were a nightmare and I skipped almost all.
Apparently you have to use that REALLY annoying ferret that serves as a hint which has to squeal and twirl around a few times before it does what its suppose to do. NOT CUTE.
There is a "back" button, but that appears to be as useless at the bad attempt at providing a map. Also, everything is in the journal so I spent a lot of time writing codes down to prevent the constant back and forth with the journal, which was kind of useless too. No transporter anything so there was a lot of back and forth clicking and guessing. Got very old.
A lot of cut scenes which were very laggy. You could not skip the dialog along, your only option to move them along was to skip the whole thing. This got old too. This whole game seemed very old school.
Storyline was standard but the ending was terrible...basically you just ended in the middle of the whole story/adventure. The whole story is about ending the destruction of a town by a cult as well as finding the girls brother...it ended when she found her brother...so, like what about the rest? Obviously a set-up to either buy the CE and finish the story or they are really going to try to make a follow-up game.
I was glad it was over. A very cumbersome, tiring game. The only reason I didn't give it a 1 star is I really dislike the word "hate"...otherwise, a one star for me.

To begin with, after the demo and purchase and activate, I had to start right from the beginning...it didn't save my game which started the frustration right off the bat.
Only instructions were the typical move this to there and then you were on your own. Gameplay was a mixture of Moves only and timer. I have no idea how the scoring was done, sometimes I would get a "crown" and other times when I beat the move limit or time limit, I would get only 2 stars.
How to get power-ups was another mystery, they would just randomly appear and not often so if you used them, you were out of luck. The levels got harder and the timer wasn't enough. The game let you buy more time or moves, but sometimes just "failed" you and you had to start again. After a few of these since there were no powerups available and the timer was too short, I gave up.
I like to enjoy the games I play, not sit here being frazzled the whole time. Sorry I bought this one...at least it was on sale. I don't remember the other Lost in Reefs games being like this.
You thought this would be just like any other investigation. But now you find yourself lost in a mysterious mansion brimming with strange creatures, comatose colleagues, and mysterious tentacles around every corner...

I've played all of the Haunted Halls series and this has to be my favorite. The developers must have had a ball designing this one.
I stand all amazed at the imagination and humor which went into this game and it made it so much fun, compared with the somewhat depressing storyline of the other Haunted Hall games.
I totally enjoyed playing this game and had a smile on my face most of the time. HOS were easy and somewhat interactive which allowed the game to move along smoothly. Puzzles were fun and inventive and could be a challenge at times, but not to the point of frustration.
Loved the characters, graphics and animations. A fairly long game for a SE with a totally surprising ending. The transporter map at times didn't always work, but it may have been because there was some little detail you didn't pick up on. I did use the hint when this happened to me. I will stress that checking the notes is important. I stalled out on the game once and thought it was a flaw until I checked a blog and found the answer was in my notes...how embarrassing.
Highly recommend and you do get your money's worth. Have a ball with this one. I think the negative reviewers need to chill a bit and pull out a sense of humor.

I have played several of the games in this series and the last two I played just seemed either very challenging/awkward or maybe it was just me.
Some of the HOS were simple and others very complex which almost made you have to start off with the hint just to figure out what you were suppose to look for. Puzzles, the same. Good thing the "custom" setting allowed for fast skip and hint recharge. I hardly ever have to use the hint unless I get lazy and use the transporter hints to move around instead of the map, but I find myself using it in these games just to keep the game moving.
I don't feel this was smooth gameplay. Voice-overs were good as well as graphics and animations. Story, not new. Certainly not a game I will probably play again. Glad I got it on a special deal.

Yes, this game had a lot of puzzles and very interactive HOS. I found using the transporter hint much faster than dealing with the map. I was able to set the hint and skip to refresh quickly via the "custom" settings which help this fairly long SE to move along a bit more smoothly.
Storyline was not new, but did have a different twist. A number of cut scenes but they were short and informative. The gameplay did get a bit tiring after awhile as you were jumping all over to collect one or two items and then moving on....got a bit of "mouse cramp" after awhile.
Voice-overs were very good, I turned the music down but other sound effects were true to the atmosphere of the game. All in all I enjoyed the game and it ended well without leaving you with the feeling the CE would have provided more to the story.
If you enjoy HOS and puzzles, you will enjoy this game. Some puzzles I skipped others I played...mostly because I was just eager to get on with the game and I'm not a big lover of puzzles.

I got so bored with this match 3 that I couldn't even bring myself to complete the demo. I figure the only thing to look forward to was needing to collect more gems on each level...gems that seemed to be few and far between at times.
I need a little more to my match 3 games and there are a lot better ones out there to spend money or credits on. Its a pass for me. Can't understand the high ratings....
