I've played this game so long ago and it's made such an impact on me that I haven't forgotten how much I loved it yet.
Its quality in plot, characters, mystery, sight and sound is unmatched. The game itself is breathtaking. The characters, finally, are believable (yes, even as vampires) and the plot is so interesting and enthralling that you can forget for a second you're just a silly, fangirl with no actual chance at vampire love ;P
The story, which could have easily been the same ol', redundantly revisited vampire-human love story, was actually sweet and romantic! And the banter was cute and witty! I was so impressed! (And I don't overuse exclamation points that often.)
I love this game. I wish I had one of those laser devices from Men In Black so I can erase my memory and play it again.
Oh why oh why aren't there hundreds more of these gems so we can all play them and marvel at how enjoyable and beautiful they are? ;'<
I recommend this game!

Infected: The Twin Vaccine Collector’s Edition
A new breed of virus has spread throughout the City of Oxford. You must search the city for a missing girl who holds the key to stopping the global epidemic!
This could have easily gone the wrong way, as it capitalizes on the cliche epidemic-causes-world-disaster theme that is becoming so popular in games and movies.
But instead of recycling old themes, it was original in almost every way. Moreover this was probably the most engaging game I've played in the last few months. The story really absorbs you, and it feels like a real adventure. It's also poignant in its realism.
The voice acting was spot on. Finally! Good riddance to the badly acted, tiresome dialogue you sometimes get in HOGs. This is why you need REAL writers and REAL actors for these games. The effect cannot be understated.
The character of Oconnor was a masterpiece of typecasting and acting. Bravo! (He should get his own spin-off game ;D)
I smell a sequel and I hope my spider-senses are right ;D

I liked this game a lot. The idea of moving, talking statues was brilliant. And the adorable rooster can melt the iron heart of any serious gamer! Aaaw!
The plot was a little predictable and not as developed as I would have liked. The motivation behind the antagonist's destruction was iffy... I like that it had another ending, but thought it was pretty useless since playing it all over again just to see half of a new cut scene wasn't really worth it. (But then again, I never replay my games...) I would have liked it better if it had more effect, like if it offered a completely new bonus chapter. Otherwise it seemed like a waste of time.
So many other aspects of the game were great though. The scenery, the story telling, the (again) brilliant concept of the moving statues and the helpers. The puzzles were also rather original.
Ariel's twin sister, Belle, has been kidnapped and it's up to you to assist in her rescue!

True to its genre.
It's got cool challenges, some original, some the same ones we've all played before.
I always complain about plots because I tend to read the journals pretty avidly (a waste of my time, I know). I always expect to find something interesting but am always disappointed. I think they should be obsolete and we should rely on notes and maps, or just have better-written, more interesting to read journals, not the lame, cliche-punned stuff we are subjected to now.
It's the same old story of saving some relative and from a Gothic castle, but with a note-worthy twist. There's actually some aspects of the plot that are interesting to discover. And overall I really liked the game!
If I have to nit-pick (that's what I do best), I would ask for better protagonists. They've been kinda bland lately. I would exemplify the witty detective from the MCF games as the ideal. And just a little more investment in the believability of characters and their motives. That would probably have a lot more of a wow factor, but since it doesn't it's just one of the great games around. But by far not the best.
