What a wonderful game! It is SO unlike the other games I have. Aesthetically, it is a totally satisfying package. The visuals are stunning; the music is ethereal and adds greatly to the overall experience. I only play a few levels at a time, mostly because I want to savor and prolong the game. There is also a high replay value. It would be no hardship at all to recreate these beautiful timepieces over and over again. I think this game will reside permanently on my laptop so I can come back to it anytime I want to unwind (oops...no pun intended). A completion time is given at the end of each puzzle so I suppose you could compete against yourself to better your time, but why would you want to. This game is not about winning...it's about enjoying.
I recommend this game!

There are far better game of this type available. I found it VERY hard to distinguish between empty squares and those I had eliminated. There's not enough contrast. Save your money.
I don't recommend this game.

This really is an awesome game. The visual quality is superb. I always loved geometry in high school and this gives me a chance to revisit those shapes and angles but through the medium of art.
There are several different "packs" of puzzles with different textures and looks, such as glass, metal, paper, wood and others. You can complete all the puzzles in one category before moving on to the next, or you can do as many as you like in each, jumping from one to another.
It's a nice game to go to when you have a little time to play because there's no story to remember and the mechanics are always the same. You can earn 1, 2 or 3 stars for each puzzle depending on accuracy and time. There are hints available if you get really stuck. Some puzzles are quite easy and some are very challenging. As I played, I would find myself saying upon completion, "Omigosh, that's beautiful!"
My rating is really 4.5 stars because I have one minor gripe. If you a pick a piece and then decide you don't know where it goes, you can return it, but if you're not always careful enough to get it all the way to the right side of the screen it drops into the puzzle and counts as an error. Many times in a difficult puzzle I know I can't go for time so I'm working for accuracy, and it really bugs me when I let go of the piece too soon and have an error charged against me. But I guess I just have to chalk that up to my carelessness.
Oh, and it's a little difficult to get out of the game because there is no obvious exit button. You have to click on the button on the bottom right corner of the screen, then click on "select level" and then again on the bottom right corner, which should take you to the screen that says "main menu."
Regardless, I recommend this game without reservation.

This has to be one of the best games I've played. The story was compelling and I really wanted to finish. It was a nice long game, too, but not so long that I got tired of it. It was very visually appealing, although some of the HOS were difficult because they were monochromatic and somewhat fuzzy, making it hard to find things.
I loved the voice-overs and the music playing softly in the background. Everytime Isa would appear I wanted to go "Boo....Hiss." So I was very pleased with what happened to him at the end (that's what you get for locking up a poor little wolf cub).
I had to skip some of the puzzles after working on them for some time, but overall I still enjoyed them. I especially liked the one based on a Rubik's cube and was very pleased with myself for solving it, but there were many others that were lots of fun. The double-sided tile swap was a good one, too. Ooh, that felt good to solve.
I'm usually not that fond of silhouette HOS, but these were cleverly done. You had to find one or two objects and then use them to find the rest. I especially liked one near the end that was a puppet show with alternating scenes.
If you want a fun game experience, be sure to try Song of the Phoenix.
I recommend this game!

I demoed this game when it was offered as a DD recently and promptly bought it. It's a real sleeper.
Things I like about the game:
* the graphics are lovely; some have complained that objects are too small but not that many and the HOS are challenging without being impossible and there is some interaction
* the music is very pleasant playing softly in the background and adds to the overall effect of the game
* the underwater scenes are particularly beautiful and there is so much to look at throughout the game
* I found some of the puzzles to be quite challenging
* the cut scenes have voiceover and fill in the storyline
* each chapter is complete unto itself and makes a logical stopping point so you don't have to worry about returning to the game and forgetting where to backtrack to; there is to-ing and fro-ing but only within each chapter
This game is not going to be a brain-buster and might not appeal to more hard-core gamers, but if you are looking for a pleasant diversion and like visually stimulating scenes and an escape from the current run of supernatural scariness, this game is worth a try.
I recommend this game!
