Enter a fairytale world and set off on a journey to 5 fantastic worlds with Little Red Riding Hood and the Lumberjack to help find Red Riding Hood's missing parents.
When I saw the images for the game, I thought it was going to be bright and full of color. But actually you do the grids in monochrome. Then the color appears after you finish it. That's the "coming alive" that is mentioned. I'd thought maybe there was some animation or something else fun. Instead its just a way of saying the dev couldn't be bothered to actually let the colors fill in as you go.
I also found the large x marks distracting.
Gridder games are something I like but this one didnt say on my computer long.
I don't recommend this game.

This game has Gummy Drop type play features: limited moves, sets of levels to complete to get past a goal, etc. But this one is set in a fantasy kingdom with lots of lighthearted humor. Like a character that walks by the match board and starts running or even flying when there are lots of matches. Instead of bricks for building you have fireflies that will help you restore areas cursed by bad magic. The fireflies are animated and may sleep while waiting to be matched, look interested or even distinctly worried! LOL!
It starts out very easy but then the levels get slightly more difficult and new features are introduced. Like conveyor belts that move the pieces about. I'm on about level 45 and it hasn't gotten too difficult yet so is fun to be able to keep going. Still I have had to replay some levels. And there is variety in the boards so its not boring. I expect the levels to keep getting more difficult. And each level has 3 parts, each increasing in difficulty. You sometimes need to go back and play a higher version of a level to get an item, such as a key.
There are other unique features too, like fighting monsters. These come up on regular levels (seems like one in each group of levels) and also on the side. You can play special fight levels to defeat 4 monsters and get prizes.
I haven't seen any timed levels yet but I actually like playing against a timer so I'm hoping there will be some.
The story line is simple, more of a theme then a story. But for a match 3 game that is all you need. The fantasy theme is all done with a light touch, even the evil creatures have humorous touch. Which is a nice change from all the "dark" games out there. Everything about this one is bright and cheery.
All in all this is a nice game for match 3 fans. Have fun! :)
I recommend this game!

I've got the other Green City games and this one follows the same format. But with new building types and an oceanside setting to keep it interesting. I played through the demo and really enjoyed it.
You dont have to have played the other games to understand. The game provides instructions on the first few levels. And its a building game, so if you play this type of game at all you should not have any problems.
What's nice about the Green City games is the graphics, very 3D and colorful. And when you upgrade something it actually changes. :)
The music is relaxing, sort of light jazz. So you can concentrate on the challenge of the game.
And it is challenging. There are always multiple tasks: build so many buildings, have a specific income, own certain types of buildings and/or have a level of prestige (was eco in the earlier games). Each level has different requirements so its always interesting.
You can get 1 to 3 starts for each level depending on how long it takes you. Usually easy on the early levels and much harder later. These Green City games really take planning and strategy to get through all the levels.
There are awards also to add to the fun. Like one for using all the spaces available (which isnt really that easy).
I didn't try this at first due to the comments about not being able to plan ahead. It turns out you can - or maybe that's something BF dev changed in the update (if so, thanks!) You can click ahead 3 steps. One thing I really like is being able to click on the magic circles where items appear ahead of time so a worker can go get them as soon as ready. This was on the "Easy" setting. It may be different on "Difficult". Its nice that there are two settings.
So far I've just played the demo and really enjoyed it. Its bright, charming, sounds good and is really fun. I skipped through to story since I wanted to use the hour to try the actual game. I'll definitely go back and read the story once I buy and game. And I will be buying this one for sure!
The only reason I am waiting to buy is that I've recently gotten two other building games. Suddenly there are lots to choose from, both creating buildings and road building like this one. These are my favorite types of games. So thank you Big Fish for giving us so many to choose from!
And thanks to the makers of the "my kingdom ..." games for making another like those but with a new variation. Really great!
This is one I liked right away, only played demo for about 10 minutes then bought it. :)
It reminds me of the first Royal Envoy. But this one has some unique variations that give it a personality of its own - such as donkey workers. The buildings produce things like wheat or cream instead of gold. And building towers for defense rather then flowers for happiness.
One thing that is really nice is the sound effects - nothing jaring or annoying. The sawmill sounds like a hand saw not the buzz saw sound may games use. And the market person just shows up without calling out anything. The music is nice too.
Graphics are well done with lots of detail even in the background of the screens.
I haven't played too far yet but it is getting more complex with each level. New features are introduced which keeps it interesting. I expect later levels will get harder. One level already has me stumped as far as finishing in the day ("getting gold"). But it lets you complete the level anyway and then I did fine on the next one. That's what I like - variety! And the game allows you to go back and try to do better if you want.
If you like games where you are building things you will like this one.

I wasn't too sure what to make of this game at first but quickly found myself having a great time. Upbeat music, funny creatures, bright colors -- its great for relaxing.
Its a very different sort of game. You click on "blobs" and if there are 5 or more linked you get a creature. Then if the creature is linked to a blob of the same color you can save it. There's no timer, instead the number of clicks you use is counted. You get more when you save a creature. If you use up the available amount the level ends. The style of game play could have been taken way too seriously but instead the designers went for humor. That's what made me buy the game.
I just wish there were more levels. I already played through once and am doing it again. Its just as fun the second time.
If you want something unique and funny, buy this game!
I recommend this game!

This is a fun farm game! But you would never know it from the game picture of a couple. The word "snow" is what caught my eye (we're in a heat wave!) long enough to take a look. The story line has nothing to do with the game and is kind of annoying.
The game is actually a lighthearted version of other farm games. Not easy - just has a sense of humor. You can even pet the animals! Silly but makes them grow faster. Gotta lov it!
The music is nice and the other sound effects are good too. No blaring or honking noises (so far). The graphics are a charming cartoon style. All together its relaxing. This kind of game is usually intense.
The game has silver and gold for each level or you can just finish in whatever time it takes you. And there are awards for things for extra challenge. Those are features I like in a game. Usually I'm trying to get gold but I was having so much fun playing the demo hour that I didn't really care. I think I'll be playing this one a lot - its a definite buy for me.
Thanks Big Fish for this and for the recent Farm Fables game. Two fun, charming TM games in the same month - really great!

This is just what I was looking for! Bright colors, fun, fast moving & cheerful! Not the greatest challenge (so far) but sometimes I just want to relax and enjoy. This is that kind of game. :)
I really enjoyed the second version of Royal Envoy. The first version is one of my favorite games. The graphics are great, so detailed even around the edges - streams, trees, flowers, even a griffin statue!
They made some changes this time but kept the essence of the first game. Lots of humor, challenges and the wonderful appearence. I’m not sure that I like the way resources appear on the screen – big objects with white outlines that you have to click on. The way the resources were on the first game was better. But I was so glad they changed the market and got rid of the annoying sound it made – used to drive me nuts!
One fun thing they added was the snowball fight and fishing. Made for extra chalanges in a fun way. And the new awards are really nice, especially since they continue on into the Expert levels. On the first version I never had much motivation to do the expert levels. Although I did play the game more then once! :) I look forward to playing this one again and again. And trying to figure out how to get some of those special awards!
