What a lovely game, great story, I was totally engaged. Love Story: The Beach Cottage was released 10 years ago (as of this review 2021) an for me, was captivating. The tale of Sandie and her childhood friend Charlie was sweet and compelling couched in a hidden objects game. I love stories in HOGs and I was rooting for the older Sandra during her journey (won't spoil it for anyone) Give this one a try and just allow the story to carry you along. I would recommend this game.

My review is based on the demo. I like search and find word games and this did not disappoint me. The music was a bit annoying but easily remedied by turning the sound down. Letters were big enough for me to see (I am visually challenged) but the mouse pointer was a nightmare. Overall a simple but nice game for the casual word gamer. It's a no buy for me since I can't even see the pointer. I do recommend this game for others though, so have fun.

I played the first two Syberia games and loved them! The storyline is intriguing and becomes more interesting as the game progresses. The graphics and scenes are beautifully rendered. The voice acting is good. The music when added accentuates the situation beautifully. This is not a hidden objects game but rather a puzzle game in which your character hunts for objects to complete each puzzle. There is no hints system and there are no time limits. Walkthroughs are available here at BFG and on the web with a simple Google search (this came in handy for me many times) The only downside to this game is that your character Kate Walker has to go from scene to scene to scene to retrieve objects or information to continue to the next task. That's a lot of travel time. For me, that is a small annoyance I could live with. This game does not have a scrolling camera that moves along with the mouse which some gamers find disorienting and nauseating. The character is directed through the scenes by the click of the mouse. If you liked games like NiBiRu, Rhiannan:Curse of the Four Branches and Keepsake (not on this site) you will enjoy Syberia. Good luck and happy gaming ^_^ Now I eagerly wait the release of Syberia 3!

I really liked this game and think I'll be playing it again. This is NOT an easy puzzle game and thankfully there are walkthroughs on the web to help when stuck (which for me was a lot) The graphics are beautiful. The interface may make some a little nauseous as moving the mouse scrolls the camera around to investigate the environment. The mouse pointer changes when a something of interest is discovered (like a letter or to read or object to retrieve) Music is slightly annoying but can be turned down. Our hero is a "puzzle expert" and is of no real help throughout the game but congratulates himself when he/you complete a puzzle (I found this amusing) The puzzles are hard!! Most of them are not intuitive which is why the walkthroughs are a blessing (sadly they are not in the BFG walkthrough section but a quick Google search will render a few good links) There are two Safecracker games out, this one from BFG is the 2006 edition. In all a nice game for puzzle lovers who enjoy a good challenge.

This was an enjoyable game. There are two modes of play: Relaxed and Expert The scenes are beautifully rendered and hidden objects challenging enough for me (I'm legally blind so a magnifier helps ^_^) The puzzles are moderately difficult and can be skipped (I skipped one) The music is fine for a short time but can be turned down if it gets too annoying and the storyline is easy to follow. Overall a good game.

Why did the creators of the game have to make miserly Scrooge into murderous, evil Scrooge?? Feh!!! The graphics were good, music and sound effects went well with the game and storyline was okay. The hidden object scenes were fairly easy as well as the puzzles. I would recommend this game if the player can suspend Dickensian canon and let the story unfold. This was difficult for me. I must say that I didn't really like having to look for so MANY keys. Overall a decent and fairly easy game.

Wow! I really liked this game!! There are three modes of play so there's a level for everyone. The graphics are great! Hidden objects are challenging enough (for me) Challenging puzzles, enjoyable storyline but slightly irritating music (which can be turned down) This is a fun game and would definitely recommend it!!

Halloween:Trick or Treat is a fun & simple game especially during Halloween. Though it seemed more geared towards children, I found it entertaining and relaxing. Fun mini games, spooky sounds and beautifully rendered scenes made this game very enjoyable. The only down side to this game was that the hints were nearly impossible for me to see when I used them. (I am legally blind so this may not be a problem for most) In all a simple, fun, relaxing game to get into the Halloween mood. If readers are looking for a spooky, horror filled game, pass this one up.
