This game was uber easy and super cheesy, The storyline was stupid, as were the characters. I played for about 15 minutes, and it was all I could stand. Graphics on the HOG scenes were sub-par at best. I didn't waste any more time on this one and got out quickly after two mini games, are you kidding me?? No challenge at all. I think this might appeal to a pre-teen girl, but that's about it...I'm not gonna say I hated it, that would be too harsh, and not worth the effort to hate, just gonna dislike it..
First the cons just to blow off some steam, this is the reason I'm writing a review.. I thought I was gonna like this game, I played thru the trial version, and I like the hidden objects scenes because of the interactive play, however when I bought the game, those disappeared, and back to the same old boring find the object on the list by the words, no interaction, shame on the devs!! The mini games were annoying, and so far, I have skipped thru all of them, I have no patience for such nonsense! The fact that I have to reset everything if I make a wrong move, quickly got me aggravated. The chess games I didn't even try to play, because I hate playing chess, as I was made to play it as a youngster with a maniacal perfectionist, and never learned to enjoy the game just because it was a game. No map to transport from place to place, so had to use the hint button more than I like. And flying back and forth between scenes, by having to use the lift every time, quickly got aggravating also.
I don't know how far I am into the game at this point, I've met three of the "ghosts", but I am seriously considering not continuing.
Now for the pros..
*The storyline itself is good, and the graphics are excellent. *I like how you can change the scenery from good to bad. *I like the ghosts, they are interesting.
Well after playing for 12 minutes, I decided that the storyline/plot didn't hold my interest, and I quickly became bored with it...I get bored with the same old plots all the time, same old settings, just the same old, same old...yawn...
The other thing that quickly got on my nerves was Aidan, after seeing him for the third time, I said, please no more, and quickly quit the game...
I only played this game for like ten minutes before deciding I couldn't take another minute of it..booooring! Storyline is waaay too sappy for me. You are in a coma and dying, and this smoky figure in a hooded robe tells you have work to do, you have to right the wrongs of the past, whatever they are, I didn't stick around ti find that out. As far as gameplay goes, I did manage to play one HO scene, and it was your typical mess of clutter with some interactive items. I found the game cursor clunky and slow, so I was forced to use my system cursor. The graphics were par at best, and mostly on the dark side. That's as far as I can go..y'all might like it, I didn't.
Well after finishing the game, I have came to the conclusion that I wished I had waited for the SE to come out and played that instead. I would have been fine with game ending where it ended before the bonus game. The main reasons being the mini games and the HOS scenes. They kept repeating themselves, and began to get on my nerves, and it wasn't long before I couldn't wait to get the game over and done with..I got the feeling the devs felt the same way..
I recommend this game!

Mystic Legacy: The Great Ring
Uncover the dark legacy hidden within a Romanian castle to save your friend from an evil spirit!
I enjoyed this game very much. I like games that I don't have to beat my brains out trying to figure things out...yeah easy games. Yeah the graphics were sub-par, but that didn't deter me from finding anything. I like the funny sarcastic things the player says. The music fit the game and wasn't annoying, so I kept it, I usually don't with alot of games. As for the HOS scenes, no difficulty there, I never had to use a hint, and the tiny ting when I did find an object was nice. The mini games were easy and I didn't have to skip any, or spend alot of time trying to figure them out. All in all, it was a great way to spend part of my weekend off.
I bought this game w/o playing the demo, because the MM series as always been great fun to play, and after playing it for almost an hour, I, once again, was NOT disappointed! Throughout the entire time I was playing that first hour, I kept on saying to myself, "cool", and "wow" I liked how that dog kept on jumping into the scene. I liked putting the tricks together. Well no more time to review... have to get back to playing the game!!
Loved playing this game! It was so good not to have to deal with ghosts, haunted houses, mad scientists,witches...you get the picture..what a fresh change!! This had a human touch to it I rarely get to enjoy in the others. Time travel appeals to me, and mobsters make it even better!! The mini games were easy, yes, several of them I solved without realizing how I did it...lol, but I hate puzzles you have to pull your hair out to figure out. I hope to see more games like this in the future!!
