This game was just pure enjoyment for me. I love the characters, (voice-overs were exceptional), the scenes and although far-fetched, the story line. This is a very well put together game with lots of extra things to find in each scene. The story line is a little far fetched, but you are so involved in what you are doing you almost gloss over the reality factor. The graphics are well done and colorful, the music is excellent and the collectible items are not always the easiest to find. I very much enjoyed this game and know in another year I will be opening it again for another round. Pure fun!
Absolutely fantastic game from beginning to end. You take a mind journey into an asylum where every patient was normal the day they arrived and were committed there. No spoilers here, but be prepared for one of the best games of the year! The graphics are fantastic, the story line was always twisting and turning, and the music/sound effects are top notch. There are marbles to collect, achievements to earn and an additional chapter that actually means something to the original game. The second bonus chapter is not really a chapter, but a fun little extra that more games should have. This is one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played and I purchase at least 4 games a month from Big Fish. This is one I will open again in a year and lose myself in the story all over again. They have a huge hit with this game.
It is rare for me to be so put off by a game. I find that I enjoy most of the games offered by Big Fish. This one however...keep your money in your pocket and your credit available...it would be wasted here.
The story line starts out with great potential, but somewhere in the confused following scenes it gets lost. I was very disappointed in the game.
I don't recommend this game.

I wanted to spend some time playing before reviewing the new Dark Manor game, just to make sure I was giving it a fair chance. While I have some issues with the lack of energy/using energy too quickly, I have enjoyed the time I have played. I think they would have more interaction from members with the game if the energy bar was expanded or the cost to play a scene was 10 energy instead of 15. I love the extra little challenges that can earn you gold to purchase attractions. They have been for the most part fun and attainable. There is an unnecessarily long time to wait when expanding, such as a 5 day wait for the one location to become active, which is rather longer than is fair. However, if you want a few moments of quick fun without having to download a full game, this is it.
